BZZZT!

The moment the Void Behemoth collapsed, the System’s voice echoed in Kael’s mind. A massive, intricate formation erupted from the polished black stone of the Sovereign’s Colosseum. The violet runes pulsed with an ancient, binding authority, wrapping around the Behemoth’s massive body like glowing chains.

Sizzle. Sizzle.

The runes lashed onto the beast’s armored plates, searing themselves into its very soul. The Behemoth’s unconscious body twitched, a low, pained groan escaping its maw as the taming protocol rewired its primal instincts. The soul-link began to form—a bridge of spiritual energy connecting Kael’s consciousness to the beast’s core.

Ding!

[Taming Protocol: 25%... 50%... 75%...]

Kael watched with cold, patient eyes, his arms crossed.

[Taming Protocol: 100% Complete.]

THUD.

The Void Behemoth’s crimson eyes snapped open. It slowly pushed itself up, its massive, fifteen-meter frame towering over Kael. For a moment, the beast stared down at him, its gaze unreadable. Then, with a deep, rumbling growl, it lowered its massive head and bent its front legs, bowing in absolute submission.

Kael smiled, reaching up to pat the beast’s cold, armored snout. "Good boy."

Ding!

[Hidden Quest Completed: Tame an Emperor Class Beast.]

[Rewards:]

Title: Beast Emperor

Soul Treasure: Orb of Soul Nourishment (King Grade)

Bloodline Integration: +3%

Void Behemoth’s Spatial Rule Fragment

[Current Balance: 100,000 ASC]

[Astraeon Bloodline: 68% Awakened]

Kael’s eyes gleamed as he read the rewards. The Orb of Soul Nourishment was exactly what he needed—a King Grade soul treasure that would passively accelerate his soul cultivation, allowing him to break through to the next Soul Condensation stage much faster. The Void Behemoth’s Spatial Rule Fragment was a bonus, a crystallized piece of the beast’s spatial law that he could study and potentially integrate into his own rule powers.

Not bad at all, Kael thought.

He waved his hand. WHOOSH! A rift opened to the Astral Void Realm, and the Void Behemoth was sucked through, joining the Dark Wolf, Dark Serpent, and Dark Wyvern in the time-dilated Inner World where it could recover and grow stronger.

Kael then closed his eyes, and his soul projection dissolved.

WHOOSH!

He reappeared back in the Shadow World, standing on the edge of the massive chasm where the Behemoth’s hideout had been. The purple mist still lingered, but the beast was gone. Kael turned and began the long journey back to the material world, his mind already racing with the next phase of his plan.

The Kingdom of Elenoir, Eastern Continent.

While the Kingdom of Dawn bled on the frontlines, the Elven Kingdom of Elenoir watched from the safety of their ancient, forested borders.

Elenoir was a realm of breathtaking beauty and ancient magic. Massive, silver-barked trees the size of skyscrapers stretched into the sky, their canopies forming a natural ceiling that filtered the sunlight into a soft, ethereal glow. Rivers of crystalline water flowed through the city, and the architecture was a seamless blend of living wood, carved stone, and enchanted crystal.

In the heart of the capital, Sylvaneth, the Elven Queen, Aelithra Tauriel, sat upon her throne of woven roots and living vines. She was a vision of ethereal beauty—long, silver hair cascading down her back, emerald eyes sharp and calculating, and a regal demeanor that radiated centuries of wisdom.

Before her stood her council of elders—five ancient elves, each bearing the marks of the High Born bloodline.

"The war between the humans of Dawn and Britannia continues to escalate," Elder Thalion reported, his voice smooth as silk. "Our scouts report that three cities have already fallen to the Britannian cavalry. King Bjorn is fighting on the frontlines, but his forces are fractured."

Elder Lyra, the only female elder, narrowed her eyes. "This is unlike the Britannians. They have always been cautious, preferring to maintain the balance of power. Why would they suddenly launch such an aggressive campaign?"

"Perhaps they sense weakness," Elder Caelum mused, stroking his long, silver beard. "The Dawn Kingdom lost three of its five generals in a single week. Such a catastrophic loss could not have been a coincidence."

Queen Aelithra leaned forward, her fingers steepled. "Someone is manipulating the board. This is not the work of the Britannians alone. There is a third party involved."

The elders exchanged uneasy glances.

"What do you suggest, Your Majesty?" Thalion asked.

Aelithra’s eyes gleamed with cold intelligence. "We wait. Let the humans bleed each other dry. When both kingdoms are exhausted, we will sweep in and claim the northern territories for ourselves. The forest remembers all slights, and the Dawn Kingdom has trespassed on our lands for centuries."

The council murmured in agreement.

Nighttime, The Royal Palace of Snowfall.

The throne room was bathed in the flickering orange light of geothermal braziers. King Bjorn "The Frost-Blooded" sat on his throne of carved ice, his massive, ten-foot frame hunched forward. His face was a mask of pure, unadulterated fury.

CRASH!

He hurled a golden goblet across the room, the cup shattering against the far wall. "THOSE BRITANNIAN DOGS! THEY DARE TO STEAL MY LANDS!"

The council chamber was filled with the noble family heads—all of whom were now under Kael’s absolute control through the slave runes. They stood in a semi-circle, their faces carefully neutral, their eyes hollow.

Queen Astrid sat beside her husband, her expression calm but her hands trembling slightly. She knew the truth. She knew the demon who had orchestrated all of this was watching.

"My King," Lord Vane, the mind-controlled treasury head, stepped forward. "The Britannians have fortified their positions at Frostbite Pass. Our forces are stretched thin. We cannot mount a counterattack without reinforcements."

"Reinforcements?!" Bjorn roared. "From where?! The other kingdoms are watching us like vultures!"

Another noble, Lord Harrow, spoke up. "Perhaps we should consider a diplomatic solution, My King. A temporary ceasefire—"

"SILENCE!" Bjorn’s aura exploded outward, the sheer pressure forcing the nobles to their knees. "I will not negotiate with those honorless cowards! I will crush them myself if I have to!"

The nobles exchanged glances. Everything was going according to plan.

High above the palace, hidden in the swirling snow and the darkness of the night, Kael hovered in the air. His Shadow Veil wrapped around him, rendering him completely invisible to the senses of everyone below.

THUMP. THUMP.

A dense, compressed sphere of dark mana materialized in front of his chest. The Void Core was forming.

Kael looked down at the palace, his silver-flecked eyes cold and calculating.

"Time for the final act," he murmured.

BZZZT!

The core completed its formation, slamming into his chest. His aura exploded, skyrocketing from Spirit Soul Rank 5 to Spirit Soul Rank 9.

Kael drew his Shadow Slayer blades, the Blood-Iron Alloy humming with a dark, thirsty resonance.

Void Step.

WHOOSH!

He vanished, descending toward the palace like a phantom of death.
