At a glance, there were dozens of these identical Mutants.

These Mutants completely surrounded Yang An, sealing off every possible escape route. They were drawing closer and closer.

SWISH SWISH SWISH—

Yang An once again directed White Feather to strike the approaching Mutants.

Their bodies were like paper, instantly shredded into a flurry of fragments that scattered and quickly dissipated.

But as soon as these Mutants were killed, new ones appeared to take their place. They continued toward Yang An, their movements slow but relentlessly closing in.

Seeing that White Feather couldn’t finish them off—in fact, their numbers were only increasing—Yang An gripped Hong Yu in his hand and charged forward.

With a single diagonal slash, the Red Feather Blade in his hand easily cleaved two Mutants in half. Just like before, they immediately shattered.

’I need to break out of here as fast as possible!’

’Since these things are so easy to kill, I shouldn’t linger here.’

Yang An brandished his Red Feather Blade and forged ahead fearlessly. Any Mutant that stood in his way was cut down by his sharp blade.

In just a few seconds, Yang An charged a hundred meters, reaching the outer edge of the ever-expanding encirclement of Mutants.

But in the next moment, the rearmost Mutant blocked his path. Yang An swung his blade, but the Mutant before him vanished in an instant.

Relying on his vast combat experience, Yang An didn’t hesitate for a second. The countless White Feather blades behind him erupted, striking at his back.

Sure enough, the Mutant had appeared behind him. One of them, its head constantly lowered, let out a piercing roar.

The sound was like a sudden thunderclap next to his ear, so powerful it sent violent ripples through the air that crashed into Yang An.

Fortunately, Yang An was prepared. The instant the Mutant roared, countless White Feather blades pierced its body, killing it in less than a second.

The sonic wave still threw Yang An back more than ten meters, but his body was so strong he was almost completely unharmed.

That short distance was just what he needed to completely escape the encirclement. Yang An immediately became a blur as he sped away, vanishing into the dense jungle ahead.

The monsters on the 6th Floor had their limits, no matter how strong they were. But inside the Broken Armor, that wasn’t necessarily the case.

Yang An had made the right decision. Compared to the Broken Armor, the 6th Floor was much easier to traverse, despite its dangers.

After escaping, Yang An ran on without a moment’s rest. Before long, however, he encountered more Mutants.

They were in a stretch of ruins out in the wilderness, which looked like the remains of a human settlement.

Even at his high speed, Yang An’s feet made crisp sounds as he ran across ground piled high with corpses and rotting bones.

Several bizarrely shaped Mutants suddenly emerged from the ruins, blocking Yang An’s path.

"Halt! Do you know where you are?"

The inhuman Mutant shouted at Yang An in a strange, savage voice, trying to make him stop, but he was already upon them in an instant.

With two slashes, the Mutants fell to the ground.

Yang An didn’t care where he was. Now that he had entered this area, there was no turning back.

Besides, there was no guarantee that the previous Mutant wouldn’t reappear, so he couldn’t afford to stop.

After easily dispatching the Mutants, he passed through the ruins, only to see more and more of them appearing before him.

This seemed to be a Mutant gathering place outside the city. For some reason, a tremendous racket echoed from the distance—screams and roars that shook the heavens. The farther he advanced, the more the turbid air became a mix of drifting blood mist and the overwhelming stench of gore.

To Yang An’s surprise, even though he saw the Mutants ahead, they weren’t drawn to him. Instead, they were all charging forward.

Seeing this, Yang An frowned, immediately realizing what was happening.

’If I’m not mistaken, a large number of Mutants must be slaughtering each other here, turning the area ahead into a brutal battlefield.’

’Of course, they could also be fighting Cultivators. Either way, getting through this area will be extremely difficult. It means I’d have to cross between two warring factions, and I’d definitely get caught in the crossfire.’

’There are dangerous individuals among both Cultivators and Mutants. Cutting through here is not a good idea.’

As he was contemplating this, a figure suddenly shot toward him from the sky like a giant cannonball. The charging Mutant let out a crazed laugh.

Yang An’s speed and reflexes were sharp, and he easily dodged. The charging Mutant, however, plummeted to the ground, landing in the middle of several other Mutants.

With a loud BOOM, the charging Mutant exploded into a shower of flesh and blood that rained down everywhere.

The gore landed on the surrounding Mutants, instantly corroding their bodies at an incredible speed and burning bloody holes right through them.

But as the flesh and blood rained down, Yang An had already activated his mask. He grabbed a Mutant that hadn’t yet reacted and returned to the Broken Armor.
