Upon hearing Su Mo say this, Yang Qingxi felt relieved. "It seems I won’t have to ask my mom to get help from the Shen Family."

While Su Mo was surprised and wanted to take another step forward, Yang Qingxi immediately stepped back and changed the topic, pretending as if she had done nothing.

"Aren’t you going to show me around the base?"

Su Mo rolled his eyes but didn’t press the matter further.

"There’s not much to see. For now, Dowblis and the others are working on turning this place into a more functional base. After that, I’ll send them out on missions."

"What missions?" she asked.

Su Mo opened the laptop and brought up the data Qian Lian had given him.

"This is the information on the Mustrump Family. I asked Lian to investigate them."

"The Mustrump Family? Isn’t it one of the top two mafia families in Noerdon Country? It was also the biggest client of that human trafficking chain you wanted to deal with."

Yang Qingxi immediately recalled them.

"Yeah. Since I was busy here, I had put their matter aside. After Qian Lian joined us, I had her investigate them."

Su Mo opened a file and showed it to her.

"He is the son-in-law of the Mustrump Family, married to the second daughter of the family’s leader."

Su Mo continued.

"During the NSRA’s research into the Human Evolution Project, Vineal Oberson fully supported the research of a scientific madman known as Dr. Adrian Veyne."

He opened another file containing information about the researcher.

"An expert in biotechnology, cybernetics, weapons engineering, and genetics."

"What did he research?" Yang Qingxi asked.

"At first, it was just the development of high-tech weapons. Although they were called high-tech, they weren’t much better than the technology already available. You could say they were simply upgrades."

Su Mo paused before continuing.
