The Devil’s Reign:The first law of void
Chapter 79:White Tiger vs Demon Physician
After stepping out of the secret chamber, Lucifer was greeted by the overwhelming smell of blood.
The once pristine corridor had become a battlefield.
Broken weapons littered the ground.
Crimson blood flowed like a small river between the stone tiles, while dozens of corpses lay piled upon one another. Some still clutched their swords, others had fallen before they could even draw them.
Standing atop the mountain of bodies were Yu Ming and Sue.
Their clothes were stained with blood, their breathing was heavy, but neither had allowed a single intruder to enter the final chamber.
Lucifer slowly walked toward them.
Looking around at the carnage, he smiled.
"Seems like you two did exactly what I asked."
Neither woman answered.
Instead, they looked at him as if waiting for his judgment.
Lucifer reached out and gently patted Yu Ming's head.
"Good job."
Then he turned toward Sue and did the same.
"You too."
For a brief moment...
The exhaustion in their faces disappeared.
Both women unconsciously smiled.
Neither treasure nor praise from others could compare to receiving a simple compliment from Lucifer.
Chirin floated beside him and laughed.
"I never thought a simple head pat would make them happier than finding the greatest treasure in Murim."
Lucifer shrugged.
"I reward people according to their work."
"Besides..."
"They earned it."
Yu Ming proudly crossed her arms.
"Of course we did."
Sue smiled quietly.
"We didn't let anyone through."
Lucifer nodded.
"I know."
Without another word, the three began leaving the ancient tomb.
The moment they stepped outside—
The mountain trembled violently.
BOOOOOOM!!
Massive cracks spread across the entrance.
The stone gates collapsed.
Countless rocks buried the passage forever.
Within moments...
The Divine Blacksmith's tomb had disappeared beneath thousands of tons of stone.
Its purpose had finally been fulfilled.
Its final masterpiece had found its rightful owner.
For a brief moment...
Everything became peaceful.
Only the wind blew across the mountains.
Lucifer closed his eyes.
"..."
Then—
His smile slowly disappeared.
He looked toward the distant western mountains.
Yu Ming immediately noticed the change.
"What happened?"
Lucifer's crimson eyes narrowed.
"I can feel them."
Sue became alert.
"...Who?"
"The White Tiger."
"And..."
"The Demon Physician."
Their overwhelming Ki clashed against each other like two natural disasters.
Even from dozens of kilometers away...
The mountains trembled.
Lucifer chuckled.
"So..."
"They're still fighting."
Far away...
The battlefield had long since become unrecognizable.
Mountains had been split apart.
Entire forests had withered into poisonous wastelands.
Deep sword scars stretched across the earth for hundreds of meters.
At the center stood two old monsters.
White Tiger.
Demon Physician.
Both looked nothing like they had before the battle began.
White Tiger's once immaculate white robes had been stained crimson with blood.
Several poisonous wounds covered his arms and chest.
His breathing had become noticeably heavier.
Across from him—
The Demon Physician leaned against a shattered boulder.
Half of his robes had been cut away.
Blood continuously dripped from a deep wound across his shoulder.
Several medicine gourds hanging from his waist had already shattered.
The two stared at one another.
Neither moved.
Neither dared underestimate the other.
White Tiger finally spoke.
"You've grown weaker."
The Demon Physician laughed.
"And you've grown older."
White Tiger slowly raised his sword.
"Even now..."
"You still joke."
The Demon Physician shrugged.
"If I'm about to die..."
"I might as well smile."
Without warning—
White Tiger disappeared.
Tiger Step.
His speed distorted the air itself.
The next instant—
His sword descended like a bolt of lightning.
"Tiger Heaven Cleaver!"
The Demon Physician narrowly dodged.
The mountain behind him split cleanly in half.
Before White Tiger could continue—
Green mist exploded beneath his feet.
"Ten Thousand Venom Bloom."
Countless poisonous vines erupted from underground, wrapping around White Tiger's legs.
White Tiger snorted.
"Petty tricks."
His sword aura exploded outward.
The vines shattered instantly.
But...
The poison had already entered his bloodstream.
His left arm twitched.
The Demon Physician smiled.
"I never expected those vines to hold you."
"I only needed one scratch."
White Tiger looked down.
The veins on his arm had turned dark purple.
"...A paralysis poison."
The Demon Physician corrected him.
"No."
"A death poison."
White Tiger's eyes sharpened.
Without hesitation—
He sealed the meridians in his own arm, preventing the poison from spreading further.
The Demon Physician sighed.
"As expected."
"You really are troublesome."
White Tiger raised his sword once more.
"And you're too dangerous to leave alive."
The sky suddenly roared.
Dark clouds gathered overhead.
White Tiger slowly closed his eyes.
His aura became completely different.
Every disciple of the Murim Alliance watching from afar instinctively stepped backward.
One whispered,
"He's using..."
"...that technique."
The Demon Physician's expression also changed.
"So..."
"You're willing to use it."
White Tiger nodded.
"I no longer have the luxury of holding back."
Golden Qi erupted around him.
Behind his body—
The illusion of an enormous white tiger slowly appeared.
Its roar shook heaven and earth.
Trees were uprooted simply by its pressure.
The Demon Physician narrowed his eyes.
"So this..."
"...is your Dharmic Body."
The White Tiger opened its glowing eyes.
The battlefield itself trembled.
The Demon Physician took a deep breath.
He slowly removed the final medicine gourd from his waist.
Unlike the others...
It was completely black.
Even he hesitated before opening it.
He looked at the bottle silently.
"I swore..."
"I would never use this poison."
He smiled bitterly.
"But..."
"I suppose today is special."
He removed the cork.
Instantly—
Pitch-black mist poured into the sky.
The ground beneath him began melting.
Grass turned to ash.
Even the air itself seemed to rot.
The watching disciples fled in terror.
"What kind of poison is that?!"
The Demon Physician calmly poured the entire bottle into his mouth.
White Tiger's pupils shrank.
"...You're insane."
The Demon Physician laughed as black veins spread across his face.
"I've spent my whole life creating poisons."
"Today..."
"I become my greatest masterpiece."
BOOOOOOM!!
An ocean of poisonous Qi exploded outward.
The gigantic White Tiger phantom roared.
The black poisonous mist answered with a deafening hiss.
One represented absolute destruction through martial might.
The other...
Absolute death through poison.
Neither intended to survive.
White Tiger slowly lifted his sword.
The Demon Physician extended his trembling hand.
Both spoke simultaneously.
"For the Murim Alliance."
"For the Demonic Cult."
The world seemed to stop.
Then—
Both monsters vanished.
A blinding explosion swallowed the entire mountain range.
Thousands of martial artists shielded their eyes.
No one...
Could see who had won.
At that exact same moment, dozens of kilometers away, Lucifer slowly smiled.
"They've reached the final exchange."
He placed Chirin on his shoulder.
"Let's go."
The dust had yet to settle.
And hidden within that blinding explosion...
One of Murim's greatest legends was about to fall.
