The Disfigured Beauty Becomes a Succubus to Repay Her Debt
Chapter 193: Stealing the Power of Hell
Dusk Bar.
In a private room filled with subcultural and religious decor.
“So this is the treasure our Lord has bestowed upon us?”
“If this were before, I would’ve thought this was just some antique book.”
“I can feel a dense, ominous power from this book.”
“No kidding. Once you master this book, you’ll basically be Constantine!”
“Our Lord Dusk really does have all sorts of treasures!”
Several women chattered away, gathered around the Grandmother’s Book.
The Seductive Demoness, Evil Jade Flood Dragon, glanced at them.
“Why doesn’t one of you just coax Dusk into bed? Heh heh, then everything would be yours!”
Jin Meiting was already annoyed, and Evil Jade Flood Dragon’s words just made it worse.
“Do you have any idea who the woman by the Master’s side is?”
The Witches immediately perked up.
Their gossip-loving souls were burning brightly.
“Who is it?”
“Who’s so lucky that they get to stay by our Lord’s side?”
“She must be a great beauty, right?”
Jin Meiting said,
“You definitely know her name. At the very least, you’ve seen TV shows about her when you were little.”
The Witches grew even more curious.
“Is she a big celebrity?”
“A mere mortal woman is worthy of serving our Lord?”
“Are you kidding? If the Master so much as beckons with his finger, wouldn’t all the sluts in the entertainment industry throw themselves at him?”
Jin Meiting’s eyes dimmed as she uttered a single name:
“Daji.”
The Witches froze for a moment.
Daji?
The Gorging Witch, Li Yaolin, rubbed her nose.
“Which version of Daji? No way. They’re all old now.”
Jin Meiting shot Li Yaolin a look.
“The Nine-tailed Demon Fox, Su Daji. The one from several thousand years ago. The real deal.”
Instant silence.
The Witches’ hearts all skipped a beat.
Their faces went slack, their beautiful eyes filled with shock.
The legendary Nine-tailed Fox, Su Daji, was Dusk’s woman?
It took the Seductive Demoness, Evil Jade Flood Dragon, a long moment to recover.
“W-well, she’s certainly worthy of the Master, then. What a pity, I fainted this afternoon. I didn’t get to see the Master in all his glory.”
Hearing this, the flames of jealousy in Jin Meiting’s eyes were about to erupt.
The Gorging Witch, Li Yaolin, suddenly asked,
“Does anyone still remember what the Master looks like?”
Evil Jade Flood Dragon glanced at Li Yaolin.
“Are you trying to show off? You clearly didn’t faint back then.”
The Angry Witch, Zhang Shi’ai, thought for a moment before saying hesitantly,
“I think… I can’t remember either.”
Evil Jade Flood Dragon was stunned.
‘Can’t remember either?’
Jin Meiting uncrossed her legs.
“Stop guessing. As long as the Master wishes it, no one in this world can remember his divine face.”
The Witches were stunned for a long while.
Slowly, a single thought surfaced in their minds.
‘A divine face cannot be beheld!’
Jin Meiting stood up, walked into the middle of the Witches, sat down, and opened the Grandmother’s Book to the first page.
“Don’t overthink it. The Master granted us this Sacred Artifact, so we need to learn from it quickly.”
She thought of something and smiled.
“The Master praised us for doing a good job this time, so we have to strive to do well next time, too. To be honest, we were just really lucky in our fight against the Seven People. Next time, we might not be so lucky. We’ll have to rely on our strength.”
The Witches all nodded in agreement.
The last thing they wanted was to see the Master look disappointed.
That would be even more unbearable than death!
The Witches huddled together, their beautiful eyes fixed on the book without blinking.
Although the book was written in English, the Witches’ proficiency in the language was clearly not low.
This wasn’t a compliment; it was an objective fact.
The Gorging Witch, Li Yaolin, was a self-taught, top-tier hacker.
Even though she hadn’t even finished high school, for a hacker, English is of the utmost importance.
Although Su Yubo was a provocative livestreamer, she had been a middle school English teacher before becoming a streamer.
Among the Witches, Zhang Shi’ai had the worst English.
But she was a top student; even if there were some words in the Grandmother’s Book she didn’t know, she could figure them out from context.
English wasn’t that hard; it was just a matter of rote memorization.
Gradually, they became engrossed in their reading.
An unknown amount of time passed before they came to their senses, looked at each other, and saw the shock in one another’s eyes.
The Angry Witch, Zhang Shi’ai, was frowning while making some gestures.
Suddenly, a black, six-pointed Magic Array appeared in her hand.
Seeing this, all the Witches’ jaws dropped in astonishment.
Zhang Shi’ai swallowed and reached her hand into the six-pointed Magic Array.
She began to drag something out of it.
Finally, the object was pulled out.
It was a massive, pitch-black, double-bladed axe!
Zhang Shi’ai wasn’t tall, only a little over 1.6 meters, and the two-meter-tall double-bladed axe created a stark contrast with her frame.
Grabbing the double-bladed axe, she couldn’t help but start swinging it around the room.
The large cold weapon, which looked extremely heavy, was wielded by her with imposing flair.
“AHH!”
“Are you insane?!”
“Bitch, watch where you’re swinging that thing!”
The Witches shrieked and cursed, scrambling under the table or behind the sofa, terrified of being hit by the double-bladed axe.
Zhang Shi’ai’s pretty face was flushed with excitement.
“Sorry… I just couldn’t control myself for a moment.”
‘The Exorcism Art from the Grandmother’s Book is just… so damn cool, isn’t it?’
She could feel the destructive power contained within the double-bladed axe.
It was definitely more powerful than any metal blade; cutting through iron like mud would be a piece of cake!
The Grandmother’s Book contained all sorts of miraculous Exorcism Arts, not just the creation of Demon Soldiers, but others as well.
“Bind!”
A cold voice snorted.
Zhang Shi’ai looked toward the sound and saw the Proud Witch extending a hand toward her.
The next second, a Cross abruptly appeared behind Zhang Shi’ai, and several ropes bound her to it in the shape of a cross.
The double-bladed axe in Zhang Shi’ai’s hands fell to the ground with a CLANG.
This was one of the Exorcism Arts—Hellish Torture Devices.
In the past, Constantine didn’t just deal with Demons; he could even take care of Angels.
This cross-shaped binding was more than enough to handle a newly-born Extraordinary Witch like Zhang Shi’ai.
The Seductive Demoness cheekily sidled up to Zhang Shi’ai and started groping her.
“Bondage play? My favorite.”
The other Witches also gathered around Zhang Shi’ai, teasing her playfully.
They were very excited.
‘Once we master the Grandmother’s Book, even those ‘masters’ from the Taboo Association probably won’t be our match, right?’
These women’s ambitions were quite large.
Just then, an evil, ominous, and creepy aura rippled through the room.
All the Witches looked toward the corner, their beautiful eyes widening in shock.
They saw a disgusting monster with a bull’s head and a snake’s body coiled up there.
Its entire body was covered in scales, and when its bull head opened its mouth, a long, scarlet tongue would flick out.
The Proud Witch’s face was full of disgust.
“What is this monster?”
Several Witches adopted combat stances, their faces wary.
After the incident with the Seven People, they now had an awareness of Extraordinary Creatures and naturally weren’t afraid.
“Sisters, I think this is my pet.”
A joyful voice called out.
The Witches looked suspiciously at the sofa not far from the bull-headed, snake-bodied monster.
The Lazy Witch, Su Yubo, crawled out from behind the sofa.
Her face was pale and her steps unsteady. She struggled to climb onto the sofa and sit down, panting heavily.
The Seductive Demoness, Evil Jade Flood Dragon, said faintly,
“Did you sneak off to go down on someone for two hours while we weren’t looking?”
Everyone was used to Evil Jade Flood Dragon’s dirty jokes, so no one paid it any mind.
They stared intently at the bull-headed, snake-bodied monster.
The Gorging Witch, Li Yaolin, even boldly went closer to feed the monster a potato chip.
The monster flicked out its long tongue and swallowed the potato chip, bag and all, chewing on it noisily.
Li Yaolin immediately flew into a rage, slapping the monster’s bull head wildly.
“I gave you one chip, why the fuck did you eat the whole thing! Spit it out, you bastard!”
The bull-headed, snake-bodied monster closed its eyes in enjoyment and even let out a contented cat-like sound:
“Meow~”
Li Yaolin froze, thoroughly disgusted.
The Seductive Demoness Evil Jade Flood Dragon’s eyes gleamed as she licked her seductive red lips.
“That tongue is so long. If only…”
Jin Meiting’s eyes narrowed.
“Is this… one of the Exorcism Arts, Summon Demon?”
Su Yubo nodded.
“Yes, that’s the one.”
The Witches exclaimed in amazement.
“You can even summon Demons from Hell?”
“The Grandmother’s Book is practically the sacred artifact of our Witch Association, isn’t it?”
“A product of the Lord of Dusk is bound to be extraordinary.”
Jin Meiting pondered for a moment.
“The Grandmother’s Book has five types of Exorcism Art in total. Demon Soldiers, Torture Devices, Summon Demon, secret medicine, and Demon Exorcism Body Art. The seven of us definitely can’t learn all the Exorcism Arts in a short period of time. To prepare for any battles that might await us in the near future, we need to divide up the work and specialize.”
Su Yubo asked,
“How should we divide it?”
Jin Meiting said,
“Demon Soldiers and Body Techniques, these two Exorcism Arts can complement each other. All of us must learn these two Exorcism Arts as a requirement. As for Torture Devices, Summon Demon, and secret medicine, you can each pick one to learn.”
The Witches nodded.
That was true.
If they tried to learn all five Exorcism Arts at the same time, it would take too long.
If they just focused on mastering two and then chose one more from the remaining three, it would significantly reduce their learning time.
The Greedy Witch, Xu Wei, said with a grin,
“Secret medicine sounds good. I’ll learn that. I can mix the secret medicine into my coffee; it’ll definitely be a bestseller.”
The Gorging Witch, Li Yaolin, stared resentfully at the bull-headed, snake-bodied monster.
“I’ll learn secret medicine too, so I can poison this son of a bitch.”
A smile played on the Proud Witch’s lips.
“I like the Torture Devices.”
All the Witches looked at her and shivered in unison.
This woman was an S, commonly known as a queen.
‘A ten-minute moment of silence for some poor M.’
…
The dark red sky was like a wound that would never heal.
The scorched earth was split by countless abysses, each fissure spewing forth choking, thick smoke.
In the distance, something struggled in the fire, its shadow stretched long and cast upon the searing rock walls.
In this world saturated with the smell of sulfur, a tall figure with bulging muscles stood at the edge of a volcano’s crater.
It had the head of a goat, the body of a man, and the wings of a Black Dragon. It was covered in long black fur and held a steel trident.
His name was Satan, the lord of Eternal Hell.
Satan gazed at the dark red crater, a hint of doubt in his eyes.
“Why are mortals frequently using the power of Hell? Could it be… that Constantine is still alive?”
Behind him stood two very human-like Demons.
One was a seductive woman in a classic black dress with a low neckline that revealed much of her snow-white skin.
However, her lower body was that of a spider.
Lilith bowed her head and said,
“Master, Constantine is dead. I saw it with my own eyes.”
The other Demon wore a round hat, sunglasses, a black scarf covering his face, and a black overcoat.
Beelzebub said,
“Master, perhaps someone has used the God-Desecrating Bell.”
Satan was silent for a moment.
“Is it the Manager?”
Beelzebub bowed slightly.
“If his act of stealing Hell’s power displeases you, I can go to the Human World and bring back the God-Desecrating Bell.”
Lilith shot a look at Beelzebub, a flash of anger in her eyes.
‘Everyone wants to leave Hell, so what makes you think it should be you?’
Lilith quickly said,
“Master, I can go too.”
Satan was silent for a moment before shaking his head.
“The Manager… we can’t afford to offend him.”
Lilith and Beelzebub exchanged a glance, and both saw the helplessness in the other’s eyes.
They knew what the Manager was.
It was a unique occupation in the Human World. Every few hundred years, the human who served as the Manager would be replaced.
Apparently, the Manager was a profession akin to a Guardian God, tasked with protecting the Human World.
They had only heard of it but had never crossed paths with one.
Firstly, the gates of Eternal Hell were closed, and Satan himself stood guard.
Only the souls of the dead were allowed to enter for reincarnation; Hell Demons were not permitted to leave.
Secondly, even high-ranking Demons like them were extremely wary of the Manager of Antique Shop Zero.
After all, Antique Shop Zero was founded by that great human.
