The second plan was simple.

"I’ll just have to mark her, and then have violet eject her out. The problem with this plan is that it takes time, and I’m pretty sure this drakaina won’t sit still and wait patiently."

Alcott looked at Godvia, and she looked down at him. "If you’re thinking about how to slay me, I suggest you give up, Dragon Slayer. You are powerful, true. But our fight would cost more than its worth, to us both." She lowered her head down. "Besides, I’m almost impossible to kill."

She did explode several times before, but always came back to life. So Alcott’s first plan would just delay her, and even his second plan of ejecting her outside the Mortal world wouldn’t work, as she could just... fly back in the same way she got in the first place.

"Even you said it. ’almost impossible’ doesn’t mean you’re immortal." Alcott replied with a smile. Usually, he would take a few weeks to months to prepare to hunt a new powerful dragon that he had never faced before, and this drakaina was even stronger than those. Having come up with two plans already was far too good.

Even at this moment, Ginger, Jack, and Abel were all working hard locate anything that could help take this Godvia down.

Ginger is looking for ancient blood artifacts that could work on dragons, and she had already located a possible one down south in a place where Vlad once had a lair. She was already heading there with a large battalion of the Blood Sisters.

Abel himself was now back in the ninth layer of hell, trying to find powerful devils that could help take Godvia down, or at least slow her. He seemed to be spending quite a bit of time fooling around, but the progress he was making was already better than most devils that Alcott had worked with before.

Then there was Jack, who simply sat in one of the nearby kingdoms, having rented a large secluded house to watch Godvia from afar with Lydia by his side. He had already mastered a fair bit of his own divine magic and had a trick that could even break Godvia’s ribs if executed correctly.

Following Ginger first, she flapped her massive black wings across the sky and looked back. She could see Capsella flying behind her, and then fifty other vampire sisters. Forty of those sisters were paladins, and the rest were nuns.

"Isn’t this a bit excessive?" Ginger asked, and Capsella flew closer to her. "No, I would say awfully inadequate. If that drakaina called Godvia is threatening the safety of our Blood Lord, we should be spilling her blood."

Ginger looked forward. "Killing her isn’t the problem. I’m certain that Eris can do that with ease. Even turn her inside out. The problem is doing that without destroying half the Mortal World."

Capsella frowned, looking back into the horizon in the direction of where Godvia should be. "The Fragile Mortals... no, even we vampires might not survive such a battle."

"That why we need to find a way to get rid of her safely in case Arad takes a long time to wake up." Ginger started to fly even faster and the Blood Sisters followed her.

"I wanted to say..." Capsella stared at her. "I do find it a bit irritating that you just call our Blood Lord by his name. You being the Daughter of the Former Blood Lord Vlad, or the wife of his father Sir Alcott, doesn’t change the fact that you’re a vampire like the rest of us."

Ginger looked back at her with a grin. "Oh, didn’t Arad tell you?"

"Tell us what?" Capsella lifted an eyebrow, and Ginger giggled.

"I’m the one who turned him into a vampire in the first place. He got bit by a werewolf in a dungeon, got infected with lycanthropy, so I turned him into a vampire so he’ll survive longer."

Hearing that, Capsella gasped, and so did all of the Blood Sisters following her.

"So while Violet is his biological mother... you can see me as the mother of his vampire side, the one you worship as the Blood Lord."

To the vampire, the blood relations might be more important than maternal ones, as they directly link vampires together and determine their power and worth. The fact that Ginger is the one who turned Arad into a vampire means that it was her power and potential that sparked his vampiric growth, and that fact alone was enough to cause the Blood Sisters to freeze.

She looked back at the Blood Sisters with a grin. "You all received power from Arad or Eris... but unlike you, I gave Arad his power. I think that alone should at least earn me a bit of respect, or am I wrong?"

Capsella, who was now even paler than before, couldn’t help but apologize. "I didn’t know you were the one who turned our Blood Lord into a vampire... to think we were rude to you..."

Ginger laughed. "Relax, that doesn’t matter. Just make sure you don’t drop your guard. We have arrived." She stopped flying, and so did Capsella behind her. Down beneath them was an ancient, abandoned temple covered in moss in the middle of a jungle.

"The artifact we’re looking for is down there?" Capsella asked, and Ginger nodded. "It’s an ancient mask, and it should be down in the deepest room underground inside the temple."

"What does it do?" Capsella asked, and Ginger smiled. "It turns any mortal who wears it into a vampire, and if worn by a vampire, it greatly amplifies their Blood Manipulation. With it, Alcott might be able to stun Godvia long enough to teleport her outside the world."

Capsella gasped. "Don’t tell me... this is what turned Vlad into a vampire."

Ginger shook her head. "No, Vlad made the mask to allow human slaves to turn other human slaves into vampires and to empower one of his generals." She started slowly floating down toward the canopy of trees.

"Then... how did Vlad become a vampire?" Capsella asked, and Ginger shook her head. "Even I don’t know. Let’s focus on this mission for now." She pointed down. "The ones living there won’t easily let us inside."

As they all landed on the trees, they could see a bunch of humans living inside the temple, and most of them looked a bit weird. "Who are those?"

"Natives of this jungle, they are a large cannibal cult that descends from Vlad’s slaves who lived here. I bet they still offer blood sacrifices to their sanguine overlord." She pointed at the sacrificing alter and the pile of human bones to the side.

"Vlad gets the blood, and they consume the flesh. For centuries, they’ve been doing the same ritual." Ginger cracked her neck. "They are the reason this jungle is called the Green Hell." She looked back at Capsella. "We can either wipe them out or sneak inside. Your choice. Words won’t work with them, believe me; I already tried."

"Already tried? You came for the mask before?" As Capsella raised an eyebrow, Ginger sighed.

"Alcott, not me. He came here and somehow managed to disguise himself as one of them to sneak inside. But he somehow ended up sleeping with the chieftain’s daughter, got caught, stripped naked, and tied to a spit. Saving him was a mess." She shook her head.

"Tied him... to a spit?" Capsella lifted an eyebrow.

"Like a damned pig..." Ginger shrugged.
