"That’s a serpent guard?" Capsella swung her hand gently in front of her body, and the serpent guard was slashed in half and fell dead instantly. As its blood splashed everywhere, Ginger smiled.

Capsella summoned all of the vampire Paladins and Nuns to assist them, but sadly, there was only one serpent guard nearby, so they didn’t get to fight anything.

"They aren’t that powerful, but their venom and blood are too poisonous." Ginger then flicked her fingers and set the corpse on fire, incinerating it in seconds.

"Remember, don’t reabsorb the blood you use to kill them. You’ll have a bad day." She then pointed at the burning blood. "Their blood is saturated with the snake’s venom."

Capsella gulped and reached into her pocket, pulling out a few vials. "Do you think Claug would love it if I brought her some of their blood?" As she asked, Ginger started thinking. "Did she ask you for it?"

"No... but I was thinking that since she loves working with rare poisons and diseases, I’d be beneficial in bringing her such rare samples." As Capsella looked away, Ginger lifted an eyebrow. "Why would you need to earn her favor?"

Capsella started poking her fingers together. "Well, you see... Lady Eris only sees me as a maid and a replaceable servant. If I want her to recognize me more, I can’t just sit still... so I was thinking that with Claug’s help, I could... just maybe... become a concubine or even a queen..."

Ginger smiled. "So, you want to climb the ranks..." She then pointed forward with a grin. "Fine by me! Let’s collect a few whole corpses and not just blood. Maybe even catch a living specimen or two."

As she rushed forward, Capsella followed her with a cheerful and happy face, excited that she now had Arad’s blood mother to help her. But as soon as they walked past two corners, they were faced with a massive room that had a large pitfall instead of a floor, and down in the darkness, Capsella and Ginger could see thousands of sharp spikes waiting for them.

Capsella leaned down, grabbed the edges, and looked down. "Vlad the Impaler, we should’ve expected a few poky things."

Ginger, on the other hand, was busy looking at Capsella’s massive butt; that girl really knew how to present her rear end even when not intending to. "That’s one hell of a pose you got. You know that I don’t want and don’t need to see that wall you call a butt."

Capsella took a second to realize what she was doing, and then bent her back to pull her butt down. "Well, I don’t know where Lady Eris learned it, but she taught Zia how to do that pretty harshly... and Zia came down and taught me and the rest of the vampire maids." She looked back at the vampire paladins and nuns. "Zia whipped us all into shape."

Ginger looked back at the paladins and nuns following them, and they all nodded. One of the nuns even giggled. "Well, Zia literally went through every single vampire woman in the entire cathedral of blood to make sure they could present themselves well if our Great Blood Lord asked."

One of the paladins added with a large smile on her face. "We were also taught how to present our necks. If our Great Blood Lord ever asked, I’m here and ready to throw myself onto him!"

Ginger smiled. "Isn’t Arad the lucky one?" She then shifted her gaze back to the pitfall room. "See those runes on the walls? They prevent flight, both magical and biological. We have to find another way through here."

Capsella looked down. "I can see some snakes between the spikes, so there must be solid ground there. Should we climb down and move through that?"

"No." Ginger pointed down. "Those snakes and vipers are trained in a different way than the ones we went past. Those down below will bite and kill anything and anyone, regardless of where they came from." She flicked her wrist and shot a string of coagulated blood from it to the middle of the room’s ceiling. "We swing over. Do as I do."

Ginger swung from the room’s entrance all the way to the other side, and everyone just stared at her for a few seconds. "Wait! We can’t fly, but we can swing over?"

"Yes, those runes are designed to only work on things that aren’t directly attached to the room. So by using our living blood like a rope like this, we are basically always touching the room and can swing." She pointed at the walls. "A skilled climber can also climb around the walls and reach this side."

She smiled. "This place isn’t a killing room; it’s a test that Father prepared for the native people. If they managed to pass all of the tests, they’ll find him waiting inside to turn them into vampires."

To make the process faster, all of the paladins and nuns hid inside Capsella’s blood as she swung over, and then summoned them on the other side. "At least we made it here now... but if this place is a trial like you said, we should be able to clear it easily, as we’re already vampires."

"I’m not sure..." She looked at Capsella. "The final boss of the trial is what worries me."

"Boss? Is it a large monster like in dungeons?" As Capsella asked, Ginger shook her head. "No, much worse... It’s one of our ancestors."

"Ancestors?" Capsella gasped, and all of the paladins and nuns stared at Ginger. "What do you mean?" One of the vampire nuns asked, and Ginger looked deeper into the cavern.

"A Giant yellow snake and a Giant Dark Green Hen. Two of the divine beasts that Father received from Akame when he first became a Blood Lord." As she explained, Capsella gasped. "Wait... how come Vlad got gifts from her, and our Great Blood Lord didn’t get a single word?"

The paladins and nuns also nodded, and Ginger lifted an eyebrow. "He took her daughter. Akasha, did you forget about her? I think that’s enough." She shrugged.

Capsella looked at the nuns and paladins, and they looked back at her. "Yeah... but..." Capsella then scratched her head. "Forget about it. That doesn’t matter now. We just have to defeat those two, right?"

"I would want to keep them alive as much as possible. They are important symbols of all the vampires." She rested her fists on her hips. "Or what? Want to kill them?"

Capsella smiled. "They are pretty harmless here guarding this place. So let’s just go past them, get the mask, and leave. They don’t need to die." She then looked back at the paladins and nuns. "Or... what about we drag them back as gifts for our Great Blood Lord?"

They all smiled. "Blood for the Blood Lord!"
