Chapter 2340: Pin, Leveling Up In Hell

  • Next Chapter

Pin walked out of a burned devil village that she had just wiped out. In there, she had found some food, clothes, and even some weapons. She pillaged everything and only left the empty buildings, as she didn’t know what would be useful later. Looking at her left hand, a black eye and a mouth opened in her palm. "Someone powerful is approaching." The mouth spoke.

She frowned. "Good, I was worried that I wouldn’t find any more devils to kill." She was basically trying to level up by farming every single living creature in the first layer of hell. Of course, she avoided the areas with the really powerful devils, especially where Tiamat’s lair is, but everything else was fair game.

"Don’t worry, Hell never runs out of prey." The mouth replied, and the eye looked at her. "But you’ve been shoving a lot of things inside me. Weapons, food, corpses, tools, dirt, and even raw energy."

She smiled. "They’ll be useful... maybe, someday..." She then giggled. "What do you want me to say? You know I’m a loot goblin." She then shifted her gaze up the hill, where a tall and muscular devil stood, wearing black armor and glaring right down at her as his soldiers emerged, tens of them.

"We’re the enforcers’ battalion of Tiamat’s southern army. Countless villages and devils have complained about a rogue, mad devil murdering everyone." He started walking forward. "We’re here to uphold order, so come back with us silently..."

He froze mid-sentence as he saw her reach into her own palm and pull a longsword from it. She was about to level up again and he looks like just enough exp. "You pulled a weapon out; do I take that as you resisting?"

She looked at him and smiled. "Resisting? Of course not. You look just enough for a dessert." And hearing that made the faint hair on his back stand up. Her gaze reminded him of the time Tiamat called him a tiny snack and almost ate him. This woman doesn’t see him as a devil or a living being, but just as a resource to be harvested and consumed.

"Kill her!" He shouted, pointing his fist forward as all of his soldiers rushed down the hill, and some of them even took to the sky to circle around Pin.

ZON! With a single step forward, Pin teleported past all of the devils with a void step and appeared right in front of the Devil Commander, swinging her sword at his neck with a flood of bloodlust. His eyes opened wide, and he could barely dodge the swing at the last moment thanks to his reflexes, but that didn’t prevent him from getting clocked in the face with her fist, sending him rolling on the ground.

All of the devils turned around to protect their Commander, but they were already too far to reach him in time. As he rolled, Pin ran after him with a smile on her face, and he forced himself to his feet while still sliding away.

"Quick fiend!" He growled, flicking his fingers as he summoned one of the flying devils to him. As the Commander, he had contracts with several of his best-performing soldiers to allow him to summon them to him whenever he wanted, so he was never truly alone. The other devils might lag a bit to reach him, but the one he summoned was right there and ready to fight. Two on one.

With a smile still on her face, Pin threw her long sword, impaling the flying devil as she reached the Commander, throwing her fist at his face. He dodged the right hook, but a left jab was coming right after, which he could also barely dodge. Her moves seemed erratic and untrained, but he could tell that she knew one thing: how to kill people.

He moved, grabbed her by the wrist, and twisted her right arm, forcing her body to turn to the side as he pulled a short sword, ready to cut her open. But before he could do that, Pin twisted her body, did a backflip, and freed her wrist from his grasp, hitting him in the face with a kick in the process.

Even if Pin had never trained before, and even if this body of hers was new and she wasn’t fully used to it. She had spent months and years watching, learning, and memorizing. She watched Eris fight and kill; she watched Arad do the same: how he moved, how he killed, and how he acted.

While mid-air, she grabbed the handle of her sword from the falling devil and pulled it out, kicking the devil aside as she rolled away, turning her attention to the rushing battalion of devils.

She wants to kill them all, slowly, and one by one. To cut their flesh and spill their blood... but her current power isn’t enough for that. She can’t afford to play around and enjoy herself. So, she lifted one finger up, and a tiny purple sun an inch in diameter formed above her finger. This was currently the limit of power that her body could draw from Eris, but it should be enough.

As the purple sun appeared, its heat and light engulfed everything, melting both steel and setting the dirt on fire. Unlike Eris, who can summon her suns and safely contain them, Pin couldn’t do that, and her sun’s heat was effectively unrestrained.

The battalion of the devils immediately turned around to run away; they could tell that the purple sun would one-shot them, but it was too late. Pin flung the tiny purple sun toward them, and when the sun hit the first devil, it burst into a massive explosion, burning them all to ash and leaving a massive crater as big as the hill they were standing on.

The Devil Commander’s face twisted as he saw Pin slowly turn around and look at him, with the flames roaring behind her and the ash falling. She wasn’t just any crazed devil that went rogue, but a deliberate and calculated monster that was killing devils for some kind of goal.

He lifted his hands up, smiled, and laughed. "Very good, little fiend! I shall give you the honor of dying by my own hands, Commander Ovary!" Sparks of magic flashed from behind his back as mist expanded from his body.

[Elemental Expansion: Red-Mist Parade]

Red Mist Parade is the Elemental expansion he had to learn and perform to be granted the title of commander in Tiamat’s army, and it was both a simple and deadly expansion. His red mist is highly toxic and would kill any devil as powerful as he is in less than ten seconds, and it could even seep through the skin if the target refuses to breathe it.

He usually wouldn’t have used such a powerful move, as it would catch and kill his soldiers, but since Pin already killed them all, he can just go all out without worrying about anything.

But... Pin didn’t even flinch or slow down as she rushed right through the mist toward him with a large grin on her face, and he gasped. "Why aren’t you affected?" He cried as she punched him in the face.

She was breathing the poison; she was getting hit by it, but the Lord’s Left Forearm immediately neutralized it all, as it was linked to Arad’s body. But even if Pin didn’t have that, her blood was Eris’s blood, and poison wouldn’t work on her.
