Chapter 261: ...go all out

?The imposter removed his hand from his face and with it, a featureless mask.

?Beneath the mask was an otherworldly handsome young man with defined features , jet black hair, and luminous silver eyes. His pale skin didn’t seem to diminish his good aesthetics, if anything, it only made him more appealing to look at, and was in contrast to the black crescent tattoo on his forehead.

?”It’s been a long time, Sia.” Damon muttered with a soft smile. Inwardly however, he had completely different thoughts. ‘You better take the fucking bait.’

?Most humans on the floating platform turn to gaping idiots, their jaw hanging towards the floor.

?”I fucking knew it. I fucking knew it.” Dion kept muttering next to Aric with a grin plastered on his face.

?”You’ll have a lot of explaining to do.” Aric muttered with a smile.

?”That insufferable bastard is this insufferable bastard?” Calum whispered under his breath, as his mind tried to connect the two compare the images of Damon and the imposter.

?”So, he is still alive.” Alistair meanwhile, was left conflicted. On one hand he was glad that he didn’t lost to some nobody, and on the other hand, he was conflicted that he had lost to Damon.

?Elsa grimaced. ‘This bastard is still alive it seems, you should have stayed dead, you son of a bitch.’ Why did he have to suddenly come back?

?Delilah meanwhile, her mind simply blanked and couldn’t even conjure a thought, talk less of her mouth speaking one.

?As for Rose, well, her face didn’t show anything. She had already figured it out, all she needed was confirmation.

?The youths of the other races weren’t dumb. They had also realized that the so called imposter wasn’t some nobody, in fact he seemed to be quite well known in the human domain.

?Most even linked his striking resemblance to Rose Darkfell and came at their own conclusions.

?Ivis had quite the same conflicted emotions as Alistair, but Isolde didn’t particularly think anything about it, she was just surprised, and that was all.

?Meanwhile, the moment Damon removed the featureless mask, the handle of Amon’s seat disintegrated to nothingness from the sheer might with which he clasped it.

?The others were quite surprised at such a reaction, but in the next moment they witnessed Damon’s facial features after the mask was completely away from his face. Then they came to a realization as to why that happened..

?’From his reaction, it would seem he also didn’t know.’ Sevas quietly thought in realization, and so did the others.

?Though Amon’s face seemingly didn’t betray any emotion, for Sevas who had known him for so long, Amon looked beyond happy, not that he would ever admit it.

?”Congratulations on your son coming back from the dead, Amon.” Rhudeus remarked with a smile, and a bit of sincerety.

?”It is as expected of a Darkfell.” Amon muttered with no shame whatsoever.

?”Tch, stop with that nonsense.” Asher scoffed.

?———-

?Meanwhile, far away from the demon continent, a young man watched the reveal in shock, which soon shifted to amusement.

?”You were alive after all, little brother.” Emmet smiled. “Quite the trick you played on everyone, including myself, I must admit.”

?”And quite the timing too, to show yourself. Perhaps I might succeed in this iteration.” Emmett stood up and walked out of his room in the Darkfell castle.

?Not long after, he arrived before a secluded freezing underground cave with huge double doors plastered with ice.

?However, just as he was about to push the doors open, a black cloaked figure appeared before him.

?”Your highness, what brings you here?” the figure bowed.

?”I’m here to inform mother of some rather good, no, great news I have come across.”

?”I’m afraid her Majesty’s is still in seclusion, and isn’t quite stabilized at the moment.” The black cloaked figure replied.

?”Do not worry, I insist.” Emmett walked past the figure and placed his hands on the doors.

?A chilling cold ran up his body, but he ignored it. Insread a sweet smile appeared on his face as he began to speak.

?”Dear Mother, you wouldn’t believe what I just saw.” he paused as if waiting for an answer. Hearing nothing, Emmett decided to drop the bomb at once.

?”Damon is alive, Mother.”

?It happened at once, frost flakes materialized out of thin air and formed into an ice sculpture of Yvonne.

?”What did you just say?” Yvonne asked, as an intense chill enveloped the surrounding at her presence.

?Emmett didn’t speak, instead, he decided to show her. He opened a scroll that projected Damon’s reveal, while Yvonne stared in shock.

?The next moment, her I’ve form dissolved into the air, before the huge double doors opened and Yvonne stepped out.

?She didn’t even spare Emmett another glance, before ceasing to exist in that space.

?”I think that does it.” Emmett smiled, and turned to leave. “You have an incoming, little brother.”

?However, just as Emmett began walking back to his room through one of the unnecessary long hallways in the enormous castle, someone popped into existence before him.

?”Emmett, did you see it? Damon, he is alive.” Ariel said with rippling animation.

?”I have eyes, do I not, sister?” Emmet replied in quite amusement.

?”Then why do you not look happy about it?” Ariel narrowed her eyes.

?”Relax, Sister. I am so happy in fact that I took it upon myself to go inform mother about the good news.” Emmett said with a smile.

?”You what?!” Ariel exclaimed.

?”My bet is… she’s already approaching the demon continent.” Emmett added.

?————

?**Damon’s pov**

?”OH, WHAT A TWIST OF FATE, TURNS OUT THE IMPOSTER AMONG US IS INDEED AN IMPOSTER AMONG US!” The commentator said. “HE IS NONE OTHER THAN THE SUPPOSED DEAD THIRD PRINCE OF THE DARKFELL EMPIRE!”

?Meanwhile, Sia continued to stare at me.

?”What? Not happy to see me?” I chuckled.

?”More than happy, I actually the urge to want to kill you a second time.” Soa replied.

?”Come on Sia, you know to achieve that, it certainly won’t be easy.” I smiled and for the first time since the convergence began, a sword with a mirror like blade appeared in my hand.

?The ground beneath my feet shattered in a spider web pattern as a silver aura radiated off my body and my eyes became two pools of blazing silver.

?Though, my eyes narrowed a bit as I saw through Sia’s eyes with my mirror sight. The crescent tattoo on my forehead had completely changed. Gone was the black, instead it was giving off a silver glow.

?’That bastard.’ I thought with a resigned sigh, before looking back at Sia.

?”I suggest you go all out from the start, Sia, I don’t intend on holding back.” I said.

?It was partially true. I intend to completely out scale her, strength and speed wise, such that in the case I got slowed down or she became faster with her ability or even both at the same time, I’d be able to react.

?Sia’s reply was a scarlet aura erupting from her body.

?The distance between us disappeared as if it never existed in the first place. Our swords clashed in a deafening shockwave. The ground and surrounding trees shattered into multiple pieces.

?From Sia’s perception I could see how I slowed the moment I came in within a certain range, but from my own perspective it was like I was still moving normally.

?Both of us pushed hard against each other, but I had higher strength and had built up more momentum, so Sia was forced to disengage, using the residual force to launch herself backwards.

?But it was for naughty as another me appeared behind her, my sword falling towards her neck in a diagonal motion.

?Sia dodged the slash with effortless ease and almost instantly decapitated the reflection. But with my speed, that was more than enough time to catch her off guard.

?In less than a blink, I was already beside her, my sword making a beeline for her neck. However, she turned towards me with maddening speed, her figure almost blurring before my eyes.

?She dropped low, evading my sword, while simultaneously thrusting her sword towards my heart.

?My hand blurred as I parried the sword away, but it also gave Sia enough time to swerve to the side evading my own sword.

?Our figures blurred, as we continued to exchange rapid and lethal attacks. W didn’t even care about grievously injuring each other because we knew the proctor would stop us in time.

?Our figures turned into two streaks, scarlet and silver

blurring across the landscape.

?Sia seemed to always know what I would do next, and I had to admit, it was quite an annoying ability. It was for this reason I hadn’t manage to land even one attack since the match began.

?Though, she also hadn’t landed any after I got serious.

?[Tidal wave]

?Sia swung her sword and a massive tsunami races towards me with maddening speed, crushing everything in its path.

?[Fall]

?My sword dragged across the ground, the earth exploded, tearing a massive ravine between the water fall and myself.

?The water sunk into the ravine, but Sia was already by my side swing her sword in a bisecting slash at my torso, having used the tsunami to mask herself, but it was fit naughty as the water itself, and Sia’s eyes, were all a means for my mirror sight.

?I could always see where she was at any moment.

?I turned around with effortless grace, and moved with even more speed than I had done before.

?Sia’s eyes widened as I sidestepped her slash and kicked at her side,

Bang!

The kick connected, launching her backwards.
