“In that case, when Giant Horn City is destroyed, don’t forget you were the ones who started this war!”

“Open that coffin!”

Behind him, a man had been waiting with a walkie-talkie. Seeing the Old Count had finally made his decision, the man could only grit his teeth.

The order was relayed. Inside Skinning Manor, people had already moved a black coffin from the lowest secret chamber out into the moonlight.

Several iron racks stood beside the coffin, holding rows upon rows of blood bags. IV tubes continuously fed the blood into the coffin. Countless people surrounded it, on high alert, their bodies trembling slightly.

Once the order was given, someone grabbed a crowbar. They first removed the blood bags, then jammed the tool into the seam of the lid and pried with all their might.

BAM!

The coffin lid flew to one side, revealing the creature within.

Her skin was ghastly pale and covered in wrinkles. She shot up from the coffin. The instant her skin was exposed to the air, blood began to seep from the pores of everyone nearby, transforming into a bloody mist that flew toward her.

“Miss Aileen, we are all your vassals, your bloodline…”

A nearby servant immediately fell to his knees, screaming in terror. Beside him, someone else held a black scroll, endlessly chanting a Spell.

The Spells couldn’t soothe her, but they began to transmit a coordinate and a request into her chaotic mind.

When the chanting was finished, the person holding the black scroll immediately stumbled back and collapsed to the ground. In just those few moments, he had become half as thin, and blood oozed from every pore on his body, completely soaking his clothes.

SWOOSH!

The creature in the coffin snapped open a pair of strange, vertically-slitted eyes. Suddenly, she leaped out.

Her ghastly pale skin caught the falling moonlight, transforming into a gown. Her face seemed to become that of a beautiful Caucasian woman, but in the next moment, she suddenly dispersed into a cloud of white bats and flew into the depths of the night sky.

“What have you done?”

Investigator Wei Ya, already at his wit’s end, suddenly sensed something.

He was utterly bewildered. He had just tried to snatch the Black Goat and failed.

And now the Old Count had gone mad.

‘These nobles are all savages at heart.’

“Heh heh…”

The Old Count’s face was grim as he let out a cold laugh. “She is my great-great-grandmother. She has lived for 1,200 years. The abilities of the Blood Race granted her longevity, but that longevity is imperfect. She is too old.”

“So old that the power of the Blood Ancestor within her grows stronger and purer, while her human mind becomes more and more muddled. She can no longer distinguish friend from foe, but she still possesses the instinct to hunt…”

“Weren’t you trying to hide that Black Goat?”

“Now that I’ve given her the Black Goat’s Spiritual Coordinate, what do you think she’ll do?”

“…”

As he spoke, he turned his head to look at the blood-red cloud in the night sky, knowing it was made of countless individual bats. No matter where the Black Goat was hiding, she would undoubtedly track it down.

And when he saw that blood-red cloud surging toward Giant Horn City without a moment’s hesitation, the fury on his face deepened. “Now what do you have to say?”

“…”

“A 1,200-year-old Vampire?”

Investigator Wei Ya couldn’t help but tremble. ‘This old skinner… does he really know how serious this is? Is he just acting recklessly?’

He even sent out his own great-great-grandmother.

Never mind the number of casualties a mystical being of this level could cause if it lost control.

‘Above all else, in the eyes of the people of the Eastern Continent, this kind of behavior is just plain unfilial…’

What was even more terrifying was that the blood-red cloud really did fly straight toward Giant Horn City without hesitation. It slammed solidly into the reality-defense line enveloping the city, and the massive impact sent tremors through the entire metropolis.

He couldn’t even comprehend it. How could the Black Goat be inside Giant Horn City? How could it have gotten past the reality-defense line?

…

…

‘What a great opportunity…’

Meanwhile, in the city, Han Su watched the changes with some surprise and quickly made a decision.

He turned to the Little Lamb Girl. “Let’s go!”

The Little Lamb Girl jerked her head up, a spark of life finally entering her vacant eyes. She nodded vigorously.

“Baa!”

“…”

This time, Han Su seemed to understand. She was happy.
