Chapter 635: Chapter 343: Clash with the Water God

Inner Sect.

Jiang Man’s courtyard.

As soon as he returned, he circulated his Cultivation to comprehend its power. He had gained some insights from the recent sermon, and his understanding of Cultivation felt much clearer now. However, this clarity was primarily focused on Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment. When it came to the Primordial Spirit realm, he still needed to put in hard work.

With a deeper understanding of how to apply power, one could begin to truly grasp their previous realms and uncover profound truths. Just like when he was at Foundation Establishment, it was impossible to possess his current level of comprehension. This was also why he had been no match for the Bai Family Ancestor. The ancestor might have appeared to be at the Primordial Spirit realm, but he was actually a mighty expert of the Immortal Dao. While utilizing the power of a Primordial Spirit, he possessed a fundamentally deeper understanding of it.

"Do you have an answer?" the Old Yellow Ox asked, referring to Xiaopang and Luo Xuan.

Jiang Man nodded. "Xiaopang is still living his old life. It seems he hasn’t suffered much. However, I already know how to make them endure some hardship."

The Old Yellow Ox didn’t say anything, allowing Jiang Man to continue.

"I’ve gained some insights into Cultivation and want them to solidify their foundations. Their Talents and resources are merely average, so their future achievements won’t be high. But if their foundations are sturdy enough, they will eventually be able to advance with enough time. Besides, the longer they stay in a single realm, the more I profit."

"How do you profit?" the Old Yellow Ox asked.

Jiang Man replied earnestly, "By lending them Spiritual Sources over a long period. When they are ready to advance, I’ll use their advancement qualifications to clear their debts."

The Old Yellow Ox fell silent for a moment before saying, "Why do you think their cultivation resources are average? Where do you think all the Spiritual Sources they earn go?"

Jiang Man ignored the question. Instead, he casually pulled out an envelope, deciding to write a letter to Miss Ji Meng to inform her of his recent gains. He also needed to study Arrays. The stronger his Arrays, the easier it would be to deal with the Array-using Evil Gods. He had to ask Miss Ji Meng to teach him these types of Arrays; they would definitely come in handy in the future.

After having the Seven-Colored Bird deliver the letter, Jiang Man turned to the ox. "Old Huang, finding the Supreme Heart Hall needs to be put on the agenda. I plan to use that stone to contact the people from the Sun and Moon Immortal Path."

The stone was a token he had unexpectedly acquired in the Black Spirit Abyss. He hadn’t used it until now, but it was finally going to serve its purpose.

The Old Yellow Ox said calmly, "With that person’s methods in place, you won’t be in any danger no matter how you use it."

Jiang Man naturally understood this. Currently, no one could bypass Ting Fengyin’s methods. However, since he had never interacted with the Evil Gods outside, he needed to learn a thing or two from Old Huang.

"You have actually come into contact with quite a lot already," the Old Yellow Ox said after a moment of silence. "You should have a general idea of what the situation was like before the Immortal Sect established its great rule. Back then, the Immortal Court ruled over the ten directions of the world, and its ruler was the Sun and Moon Immortal Emperor.

"Nine times out of ten, the Emperor is the mastermind behind the Sun and Moon Immortal Path. Of course, we can’t rule out the possibility that someone is using the Sun and Moon Immortal Emperor’s name to gather a new faction to oppose the Immortal Sect.

"As for the Immortal Spirits, most of them are from the Sun and Moon Immortal Court, especially those who possess an Immortal Record. Therefore, aside from a few special abilities, you can simply treat them as powerful living beings. Furthermore, Immortal Spirits are not all products of the same era. For instance, that powerful Tantai expert who was killed earlier... he was from an even more ancient time."

"What era was this Tantai person from?" Jiang Man asked curiously.

"You would have to ask him. Perhaps you could learn of his origins through certain rumors. People like him usually have their own legends," the Old Yellow Ox replied.

"What does it mean that he was labeled an Evil God?" Jiang Man asked. It seemed that being an Evil God meant more than just suffering defeat in battle.

The Old Yellow Ox chewed on some grass, pausing for a moment before saying, "You should go ask that person. He is the clearest on this matter."

Not getting an answer, Jiang Man didn’t mind. Instead, he asked, "Then what era are you from, Old Huang?"

The Old Yellow Ox fell silent.

Jiang Man then went inside the house and took out the token. Although he knew the other party couldn’t possibly discern his circumstances, he still needed to be careful. Old Huang stood outside by the window, able to monitor the situation inside and provide warnings at a moment’s notice.

Soon after, Jiang Man circulated the Evil God’s Technique, masking his aura while adjusting his expression. He tried his best to imitate Ting Fengyin’s demeanor and tone of voice.

The token was then activated, emitting a secretive aura. The moment it appeared, it began to expand, attempting to blanket the area and trace his location. Furthermore, it even tried to project some power over. The Heavenly Secrets also quickly locked onto this spot.

However, no matter what they did, Jiang Man remained entirely unfazed. He simply looked at the projection and asked, "Have you figured out where I am yet?"

Upon hearing Jiang Man’s voice, the power paused before condensing into a human silhouette. It was impossible to tell its gender or make out its specific build. This was likely done intentionally by the other party.

"Zui Fusheng?" the figure asked.

Jiang Man smiled faintly. "It’s me. I am right here. You can mobilize all your power to search for me and see if you can find me."

"You’re quite confident," the voice opposite replied in a low tone.

Its power and aura rapidly extended, but something felt off. It tried to blanket the area, and though it felt as if it had completely covered the space, it ultimately detected absolutely nothing. Then there were the Heavenly Secrets; they descended and clearly locked onto a person, yet they couldn’t find a path to him or discern his appearance. It was truly bizarre.

Faced with the other party’s probing, Jiang Man merely smiled in silence, waiting quietly.

After a long while, the figure finally gritted its teeth and said, "As expected of a major figure from the Immortal Sect."

Jiang Man smiled and asked, "Giving up so soon?"

"You didn’t contact us so suddenly just to show off your power, did you?" the figure said coldly.

Jiang Man wasted no more words and stated, "The Immortal Sect is expanding its recruitment, and there have been provocations from Evil Gods. You should be aware of this."
