The Evil Bastard of Murim
Chapter 46 - 45: Arrival at Mount Hua (20)
“Oppa...”
“Oppa...”
“Oppa, wake up!”
“Argh! What the?!”
At the sudden scream, Wolryung jumped up from the bed in shock.
“...”
But his mouth went shut as he saw something very unbelievable.
“What the hell are you doing, still sleeping?! It’s already time for your job! Go, and wash up already!”
“...”
Wolryung just stared at the figure before him without saying a single word.
The figure standing in front of him... She looked like she was four or five years younger than him. However, the face was very unfamiliar. He had never seen a face like that in his whole life. No, in fact, the face was familiar. Very familiar. Though it was different, it resembled his mother’s face.
“Why the hell are you staring at me like that? You are creeping me now. Is there something on my face?”
“...Mom?”
“...Huh?”
The girl was dumbfounded upon hearing that.
“...”
“Did you finally lose it, you damn brother?!”
The girl’s thunderous roar echoed through the room, and in the next instant, her rock-like fist moved so fast that he couldn’t even track it.
Thwack!
As her fist hit his stomach, making a huge sound, Wolryung lost all his strength and clutched his stomach before collapsing on the bed.
“Kwack! It... hurts...”
The pain felt so sharp that it was difficult to even talk or breathe.
“Calling your sister your mom? Did you hit your head or something?”
“...”
Wolryung gritted his teeth hard enough to make a cracking sound.
‘Even if I didn’t hit my head, I would definitely lose my memories with that monstrous punch of yours!’
“Huh? Wait... What did you just call me?”
Wolryung asked as he tilted his head in surprise.
“Did you just call me ‘brother’?”
Wolryung immediately scanned the room he was in. Modern building, made of cement. The same bed, the same study table, the same room. Everything was the same. Same as the room when he was living as Kang Junho. When he was still young, living with his father. It was the same home.
‘Another dream?’
Yeah, if he was witnessing things from his past life again, then it should be a dream.
‘But then...’
Wolryung looked toward the girl in front of him who had a similar face to his mother.
‘Who is this girl? Why is she calling me her brother? I never had any sister in my past life.’
His mother had died the moment she gave birth to him. On the other hand, his father never remarried, dead when he was seven. And as far as he knew he was his parent’s first born child. In that sense, there was no way he had any sister in his past life.
So, why was this girl, resembling his mother’s face, calling him her brother?
“You are kidding, right?”
The girl looked really annoyed. It looked like she might attack him any moment again. So, Wolryung instinctively covered his stomach with his arms.
‘Argh... I hate this damn dream that feels too real.’
After transmigrating, every dream he was having was so real that he could feel everything happening inside it. Well, he couldn’t just call all of them a dream. After all, didn’t he also have a future vision at the Western Sichuan Alliance Branch?
Anyway, the problem was the dream feeling so real. It was to the point that he could feel almost everything. He could feel it if he touched anything, he could feel if something was warm or cold, he could feel pain. In other words, it felt like he was actually in a living world. And this made the current dream even worse. Who knows when might this girl hit him again? He didn’t want to feel that unbearable pain again.
He cast a nervous glance at the girl.
“Hmm... So... You are my sister?”
“Yep, what else?”
The girl answered with her eyes closed, her cheeks puffing up which looked really cute. Though she still looked annoyed by Wolryung’s... no, Junho’s behavior.
“...”
Then the girl opened one eye, checking what Junho was doing.
“...?”
‘Did he really lose his memories?’
Seeing Junho’s troubled face, the girl sighed softly. It looked like Junho was really in a situation where he couldn’t understand a single thing.
“Sigh... Losing your memories just like that? Did getting dumped by that bitch hit you that hard?”
“...Eh? Dumped?”
“...”
The girl stared at Junho for a moment.
‘Did he get a trauma from getting dumped?’
Well, she couldn’t call it ‘dumped’ though. It would be accurate if she said that bitch just cheated on him. Seeing the girl you love with another man doing things like that...
‘Yeah, I think he really is traumatized now. How could I... as his sister couldn’t understand him?’
Now she was regretting hitting him on the stomach. But still... No matter how much he loved her, a man shouldn’t get traumatized by things like that.
“Sigh...”
This boy was truly hopeless.
She stepped forward toward Junho and extended her arms.
“Come here. Your sister will comfort you.”
“...What?”
Startled, Junho tried to step backward. However, the girl was fast.
In the next heartbeat, the girl wrapped her arms tightly around him, completely shocking Junho.
“...!”
But soon, he felt something strange in his heart.
Feeling the sudden warmth as if someone really familiar was taking care of him, Junho suddenly forgot all the worldly matters. He just wanted to feel this moment a bit longer. However, at the sudden realization Junho immediately pushed the girl back and shouted loudly.
“What the hell are you doing? I don’t even know you? How can you hug me just like that?! You... Huh?”
Suddenly, something changed. Junho couldn’t see the girl anymore nor could he see that room of his from his past life. Instead, he could see a clear blue sky in his vision.
“Are you okay, Young Master? You were talking in your dreams again.”
Junho slowly turned his head toward the familiar voice. He could see a worried face staring at him. It was Ma Jin Ho. He looked like he had almost lost something precious in his life.
“...”
Without saying anything, Wolryung kept staring at Jin Ho as if trying to figure out if this was another dream or real. Only after some moment of silence passed did Wolryung open his mouth.
“Jin Ho...”
“Y-Yes, Young Master. Are you alright?”
Wolryung didn’t answer him. He simply scanned the area he was in. An empty field with small and colossal trees surrounding it. A rough mountain path. It looked like the place where he had been before having that dream. Then Wolryung looked at Jin Ho, asking another question.
“How much time has passed since I passed out?”
“...”
