The Fantastic Little Farmer
Chapter 171: Crushing Interrogation
Chapter 171: Chapter 171: Crushing Interrogation
Zhang Yun had entered the Peach Blossom Spring Space while lunging toward the wall. When he came out, he maintained the exact same posture.
Just as he calculated, upon realizing her target had disappeared, the woman in black had indeed fired a flurry of shots before running over.
However, there was a slight miscalculation... The door to the adjacent room was a few meters away. Not believing he could walk through walls, the woman hadn’t opened the door to check inside. Instead, she squatted in front of the wall, studying it for some hidden secret.
In her opinion, this had to be some sort of magic trick. Whether it was a Blinding Technique or the use of props, there was no way he had actually phased through the wall. That was unscientific! She had just tapped the floor and the wall, finding nothing unusual. There was no explanation for how he had simply vanished.
Suddenly, her entire body was slammed against the wall!
She thought in shock, "Holy shit! How did a person suddenly appear here?"
Zhang Yun had emerged maintaining his lunging posture, preparing to use the momentum to roll to his feet. According to his plan, he could then rush to the doorway and intercept the female shooter. As a result, he ended up tackling her right at the base of the wall!
"Fuck!"
The female shooter let out an angry roar. She thought, "I knew it! There’s no such thing as walking through walls. This guy just used some Blinding Technique. He was probably hiding against the other side of the wall, waiting to ambush me!"
Since she had been squatting, being pinned at the base of the wall meant both her hands—and the guns they held—were crushed against her body, making it impossible to fire. Cursing furiously, she pushed hard against the wall and shoved backward, intending to knock Zhang Yun flying!
Realizing he had tackled the female shooter, Zhang Yun naturally pressed down with all his might. How could he let her flip him over? Right now, he looked like a fat nerd pinning down a delicate girl... No, wait, a hulking brute forcefully crushing an enemy!
The female shooter was pinned down and couldn’t shoot. In such close-quarters combat, Zhang Yun couldn’t shoot either. If she struggled and caused him to flinch, a bullet might end up grazing him. Therefore... Zhang Yun grabbed her hair with one hand and used the pistol in his other hand to directly smash against her body and head!
"Ah!" The female shooter shrieked in agony. The gun was a solid block of metal. Being struck on the head was already painful enough, but he was pulling her hair too?
"Giddy up!" Zhang Yun blurted out while hitting her.
She thought, "Giddy up? Is he treating me like a horse?" The female shooter was furious! Attacking her was one thing, but humiliating her too?!
She couldn’t push him off. Her entire body was pinned tightly; the only thing she could move was her head! She violently whipped her head backward, trying her best to smash it into Zhang Yun’s face!
However, since Zhang Yun was gripping her hair, how could she possibly headbutt him?
As her head whipped back, Zhang Yun let out a "Whoa!" and without holding back, smashed his gun into her head again with his other hand!
"Ah..." Treated like a horse again! Smashed in the head again! The female shooter was in so much pain that tears streamed down her face.
At that moment, she felt the hard muzzle of a gun press against her neck! Zhang Yun’s voice rang in her ears.
"I’ll give you one minute. Tell me all of Liu Yandao’s secrets, and I might let you off the hook."
The female shooter fell silent.
Although their exchange had been brief—she had been tackled by a trick after just one direct confrontation—neither had managed to shoot the other during that face-off. Regardless of whether it was a trick, Zhang Yun had genuinely restrained her. It was useless to be unyielding now. As for the brute force approach, twenty men had been decimated by Zhang Yun, left with severed limbs. Yang Zhao, who had tried to use his status as a threat, had been instantly shot in the head. In contrast, the guy who had tossed back his car keys had been spared any retaliation.
She thought, "It seems this guy responds better to a soft approach than a hard one..."
"He’s in the building next door," she said. "In the office in the middle of the first floor. To ensure your murder leaves no trace, everyone was given time off, so the place is empty. All the security cameras have been turned off too, so he can’t see what’s happening here.
"He won’t come over unless we report back. They could hear the rapid gunfire from earlier over there. If I don’t report back quickly, he’ll definitely realize it’s unsafe and might leave first.
"Let me go, I’ll talk to him... Ah!"
Zhang Yun yanked her hair. "How many people are still with him?"
"He sent out all his own men. Yang Zhao and I were just invited here. However, he always keeps two people by his side: an armed bodyguard, and an old man whose capabilities I can’t quite gauge. But Yang Zhao was very polite to him, so he must be quite strong.
"I’ve told you everything! You have to let me go!"
"One last question. Did Liu Yandao plant any explosives here?" Zhang Yun still had vivid memories of the explosion at the villa last night. He had only survived then because of his quick reflexes, his Personal Space, and the fact that he was inside the main hall, not far from the door. If he were on the fifth floor like he was now, and the entire building blew up, there would truly be no escape!
"No..."
"Think carefully before you answer. I’m going to knock you out and leave you here." Zhang Yun pressed her face against the wall.
"As far as I know, no! I don’t know if he made any advance arrangements last night. Please don’t knock me out here..."
Before she could finish speaking, Zhang Yun increased his force and knocked her unconscious with a single chop.
Zhang Yun didn’t forget to pick up the Weapons. He snatched both of her guns and began patting her down. Her figure was quite stacked... Oh, wait! She was quite stacked with gear. He found two spare magazines.
Having finished, Zhang Yun quickly left, not even bothering to look at the female shooter’s face. The strength he had just displayed was enough to ensure she would fear him. Just like the knife-wielders from earlier, whether she lived or died was up to fate; he hadn’t directly silenced her.
There were still some severely injured men crammed in the elevator, unable to even go down. Zhang Yun opted to sprint down the stairwell.
It didn’t take long. By the time these heavily wounded knife-wielders had managed to stagger down to the first floor, the sprinting Zhang Yun had already overtaken them. Seeing Zhang Yun charging toward them, all of them either leaned against the walls or gripped the railings, not daring to move a muscle as they waited for him to blow past them like a gust of wind.
Upon exiting, Zhang Yun headed straight for Building B. While still in the space between the two buildings, he spotted a car parked at the entrance of Building B. Several people had just emerged from the office and were about to get in.
The female shooter hadn’t lied; there were exactly three people left. Walking in front was a young bodyguard, followed by a middle-aged man, who was accompanied by an old man.
The fact that Liu Yandao had been able to rapidly arrange such a massive lineup and personally come to oversee the battle showed just how deep his resentment for Zhang Yun ran! It was this country bumpkin, who had appeared out of nowhere, who had shattered the grand scheme they had spent years setting up!
The men on the frontline had been hacked down, Yang Zhao had been shot in the head, and the female shooter might have already reported in. Not having received any further updates from her after the rapid gunfire, they had realized things were going south and were evacuating early.
As a blood-soaked Zhang Yun sprinted over, the bodyguard immediately drew his gun!
But Zhang Yun was charging with his gun already raised. Since there were three of them, he didn’t need to aim precisely; he just fired continuously in their direction!
The bodyguard hastily dodged forward and hid behind the car. Behind him, Liu Yandao, escorted by the old man, retreated back into the first-floor office of Building B.
Seeing that he wouldn’t hit them, Zhang Yun stopped wasting his precious bullets. Instead, he quickened his pace, turning his sprint into a leaping bound!
Hiding behind the car, the bodyguard peeked out to take aim again, only to find that Zhang Yun had already vaulted onto the roof of the vehicle!
He rapidly raised his muzzle, but before he could pull the trigger, Zhang Yun blew his head off with a shot from mid-air!
