The Fantastic Little Farmer
Chapter 93: Hunting Down for Revenge?
Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Hunting Down for Revenge?
Zhang Yun had nothing to do and was about to climb the wall to find some fun. Seeing Yellow Hair and his gang approaching, he immediately decided to have a good time with them.
He turned and bolted!
Having studied here before, he was all too familiar with the surrounding environment. Ahead was a fork in the road leading to a steep downhill slope—exactly the spot Zhang Yun wanted to use.
Seeing Zhang Yun run, Yellow Hair and his gang immediately jeered in excitement.
"He’s scared! What a coward!"
"Weren’t you so damn cocky yesterday? Don’t run!"
"Let him run! Even a dog catching mice will chase them until they drop before grabbing them! Let the great hunt begin!"
"Fuck! What the hell are you saying? Are we dogs?"
"Whatever! We’re gonna beat this prick to death today! I’m going to force-feed him dirt!"
"Forget dirt! I’m going to make him eat cow shit!"
Running meant fear. Since their enemy was afraid, their confidence naturally surged, and they sped up in hot pursuit.
But to their surprise, Zhang Yun ran faster than a rabbit, disappearing around the corner in a flash.
"Fuck! Running that fast, this guy must be the dog, right?"
"Rev it up!"
As local thugs, they were naturally familiar with the roads and knew about the steep downhill slope. However, it wasn’t too difficult to navigate on motorcycles. Immersed in the thrill of chasing Zhang Yun, they didn’t think much of it.
When they rounded the corner and charged down the slope, they looked ahead—there wasn’t a single shadow in sight!
This wasn’t right. They couldn’t see him earlier because of the turn, but this slope was long. It was impossible for him to vanish into thin air so quickly.
Just as they hit the brakes to control their speed, Zhang Yun, who was hiding in the nearby bushes, began hurling clods of dirt at them one by one!
By running as soon as he saw them and putting on a terrified act, Zhang Yun had successfully deceived them. Otherwise, the bushes weren’t that tall; they wouldn’t have missed him.
But now, it was too late to notice!
Zhang Yun forcefully threw a clod of dirt that shattered to pieces upon impact. The force immediately sent one of the motorcycles wobbling out of control! While trying to manage their speed downhill, the suddenly swerving motorcycle crashed into the others.
"Watch out! Watch out! Fuck! How are you riding?!"
"Ah! My leg!"
"Move, move..."
After the chaotic collision, everyone cried out in dismay. The uncontrollable motorcycles instantly flipped over on the steep downhill stretch, sliding far down the slope.
Zhang Yun brushed the dirt off his hands and strolled down the slope with a beaming smile.
"Wow! What happened here? How did you manage to wipe out like this just going downhill? Trying to be a biker gang without any skills?"
"Tsk, tsk! I get it, you guys were trying to do wheelies, right? You don’t have the skills, but you just had to court death!"
"Whoa! Your leg has a foot-long gash! Are you going to bleed to death? Hey! Yellow Hair, you were perfectly fine yesterday. How come you grew a horn on your forehead today?"
Zhang Yun circled the massive pile-up, making snide remarks with relish, which made Yellow Hair and the others boil with rage!
The clods of dirt had shattered upon impact, so they didn’t know the exact situation. They all assumed one person had made a mistake, causing everyone else to crash.
"What the fuck are you blabbering about?!"
Yellow Hair had a swollen lump on his forehead and scraped knees, but he managed to scramble up. His first instinct wasn’t to help the others, but to lift his motorcycle.
The rest groaned in pain as they slowly picked themselves up.
"It hurts so much... I think my leg is broken..."
"I’m screwed! My arm is broken too!"
"I think I just scraped my skin... but it’s a huge scrape, and I’m bleeding a lot."
As guys who messed around with motorcycles every day, crashing was as common as eating. They usually didn’t take it seriously, at most rubbing some safflower oil on the bruises. Going to the hospital would make them a laughingstock for being sissies.
But today was clearly much more severe, and everyone wanted to go to the hospital.
"You guys are pretty banged up, and your bikes are wrecked. Can you still ride? Can you walk to the hospital?" Zhang Yun asked with a smile, acting like a helpful bystander. "Do you want me to call an ambulance for you?"
They had originally intended to catch up to Zhang Yun and beat him for revenge. Now, before they could even lay a finger on him, they were all injured. How could they still act tough?
"P-please call an ambulance for us... I think my leg is broken..." one of the thugs pleaded miserably, his face twisted in agony. Right now, all he wanted was immediate medical treatment at the hospital.
"Don’t try to scam me! Calling 120 might be free, but dispatching an ambulance costs money. Surgery for broken bones and all that medical treatment—you’ll have to pay for it yourselves. Think it through!"
Zhang Yun’s words instantly dealt them a heavy blow.
They were the type to blow whatever little money they scraped together at internet cafes. They were even worse off than Li Bing and the thugs who caused trouble at factories, so how much spare cash could they possibly have? Hearing that it would cost money—and having no prior experience, they guessed the price wouldn’t be cheap—they all hesitated.
"This! Is! All! Your! Fault!"
Yellow Hair hadn’t been lifting his motorcycle; he had been pulling out a knife strapped to it!
Having suffered immense humiliation yesterday, he was dead set on revenge. Even if he didn’t necessarily run into Zhang Yun, he had to put on a show of seeking it; otherwise, everyone would look down on him!
The reason they dared to chase after Zhang Yun for revenge upon spotting him was that they had all prepared weapons. Now that everyone was injured, only he was left with a swollen lump that didn’t affect his limbs.
After drawing his blade, he immediately charged at Zhang Yun, slashing wildly!
Zhang Yun took one look and casually kicked a tree branch on the ground toward him. The force wasn’t particularly strong, but since Yellow Hair was charging downhill, the strike to his leg instantly sent him plunging forward!
This face-first fall wasn’t as violent as wiping out on a motorcycle, but it was an incredibly hard impact. His entire front slammed into the ground, especially his face! The protruding nose and the swollen lump took the worst of it...
Charging downhill and falling so hard caused Yellow Hair to slide a few inches forward after hitting the dirt. Any exposed skin without clothing dragged directly against the ground!
"Oh? Are you wishing me a Happy New Year? I couldn’t tell you were so polite. Even though holding a knife makes it a bit suspicious, prostrating yourself like this is truly sincere. It’s just that the New Year is still a long way off!"
Hearing Zhang Yun’s feigned ignorance and smiling commentary, Yellow Hair was so infuriated he almost exploded!
His nose was broken, blood was streaming down his face, and his scraped skin burned with agonizing pain... He cursed inwardly, "And this bastard is seriously calling it a New Year’s greeting? I’ll greet your ancestors!"
The other injured thugs didn’t dare to move a muscle.
Yesterday, Zhang Yun had beaten them up like it was child’s play. Today, they had banked on using knives for revenge. But now... Yellow Hair had just eaten shit and couldn’t even move. How could they dare try anything?
"Y-you..."
"Boss, why don’t you leave first... We’ll be fine once we catch our breath."
With miserable expressions, they begged Zhang Yun to leave. They didn’t dare expect him to help them; their biggest fear was that he would add fuel to the fire and beat them up again!
"Leave?" Zhang Yun asked back with a smile.
"Y-yes. You must be busy. There’s no need to play the good Samaritan. We’ve got thick skin; we’ll be fine."
Just looking at Zhang Yun terrified them. The trauma of eating dirt and jumping into the river yesterday still haunted them. Yellow Hair had just flashed a knife; what if Zhang Yun decided to chop them up instead?
Zhang Yun suddenly dropped his smile. "But you guys were just trying to hunt me down!"
