The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2994: Did I Really Become a Distinguished Hero?

  • Next Chapter

The giant ship was densely packed, and the people coming down from the ship resembled ants, swarming everywhere.

Carson Flores glanced over the scene; he had no idea how many tens of thousands were present, and trying to find someone like this was clearly unrealistic.

Carson grabbed a guard who was maintaining order and inquired about the process of how these people were being gathered by the camp, then he found the camp’s office.

The office was quite busy, with everyone engaged in their tasks. A worker near the door looked up at Carson, his gaze lingering on the badge representing Carson’s identity for two seconds, and proactively asked, "Can I help you?"

Carson tentatively revealed his identity, "I’m Carson Flores, Captain of the Third Team, Ninth Battalion, First Legion. Having just returned from the battlefield, I happened to see the fleet from the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain arriving. I also come from the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain, so I wanted to see if any familiar friends arrived. I’ve heard there’s a consolidated list of everyone who came over..."

The worker paused his task, looking at Carson with surprise and delight, "Are you Carson Flores, from the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain’s plan to eradicate the Demon Race - the Little Killing God Carson?"

Carson was slightly startled, "That’s me, uh, how do you know?"

The worker suddenly became excited, turned and shouted loudly, "Haha, the Little Killing God is here!"

Everyone in the room fixed their gaze on Carson, eyes burning bright and full of undisguised respect, even worship.

The worker turned back, eagerly explaining, "You’re on the list of first heroes in the War God Mansion, you didn’t know?"

Carson looked baffled, "I just came off the frontline, haven’t even entered the War God Mansion yet..."

The worker enthusiastically explained, "Because of your enormous merits on the front lines, the War God Mansion has listed those with the most outstanding contributions to focus on commendation and promotion, and you’re ranked highly among them!"

Carson suddenly realized that the army needs role models, and figures of merit and heroism always bring greater motivation to the soldiers.

Unexpectedly, he had achieved such merits?

On reflecting, whether it was the prior solo outing of the Third Team or the subsequent sudden assault by the whole army, his performances were exceptionally outstanding, outstanding enough that the Demon Race had taken notice of him, with countless Demon Race members falling by his hand, including at least dozens of Demon Lord Level foes. If we’re talking merits, he certainly deserved them.

Moreover, he also had merits in the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain plan to eradicate the Demon Race. Even without considering the later merits, just this plan alone could earn him a place on the list and deserves a bit of promotion.

Many of the workers there were soldiers, each with eyes glowing bright.

Among the first batch of heroes, many had made great contributions but heroically perished; however, Carson stood alive right before everyone!

For Carson, fighting and killing enemies in battle didn’t seem like a big deal, but in the eyes of these ordinary soldiers, he was a living hero, a living legend!

It’s said that Carson is very young, and although his power hasn’t reached the Peak Great Land Prime Immortal, he’s already continually slaying strong foes on the battlefield, earning the title "Little Killing God," something not everyone can achieve!

Carson hadn’t expected his fame to be so widespread that even the logistic workers were aware of him. It seemed the War God Mansion’s publicity work had been very effective.

The crowd was babbling with questions, and Carson chose those he could answer, telling them stories that heated up the atmosphere.

While conversing, a gray-haired man walked in, seeing the scene, he frowned and reprimanded, "There’s so many people and supplies waiting outside for handover, what are you all doing?"

Pausing, the man’s gaze fell on Carson, "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

Before Carson could respond, the enthusiastic worker answered, "Camp Commander, he’s Carson Flores, the Little Killing God from the first batch of heroes, just returned from the battlefield. He saw the fleet from the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain arriving and wanted to see if he had any friends here..."

The man was Osric Acevedo, the Camp Commander of the Seventh Settlement Camp. Hearing Carson’s identity, his expression softened, "Get back to your tasks, don’t delay the main business."

After sending the crowd away, Osric turned and said, "Carson Flores, right? The list of members from the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain who have arrived is in my possession. Who are you looking for?"

Carson promptly thanked him, "Thank you, sir, I’m sorry for the trouble!"

Osric gestured for Carson to follow him outside. As they stood by the office door, Osric took out a jade slip and handed it to Carson.

"This is the list, you can search through it yourself."

Carson was pleasantly surprised; he could actually search himself?

Having a name made things simpler!

If he were just an unknown soldier, even if these things weren’t exactly secret, they definitely wouldn’t let him look through them.

Taking the jade slip, his divine sense entered it, quickly scanning over the list within.

Finding names wasn’t easy, considering how many shared names there were, but the list was categorized by sect force. Carson didn’t need to search each name individually, only finding the force before looking downwards.

Carson’s divine sense read swiftly, scanning past millions of names in an instant, until his eyes suddenly lit up.
