"This small matter, leave it to me!"

Theron Coffey, upon hearing Carson Flores’s intention, slapped his chest resoundingly, directly promising Carson Flores.

Carson Flores laughed: "Captain, this matter shouldn’t be troublesome, right?"

Theron Coffey chuckled: "Not troublesome at all, we’re the First Legion, we fight the hardest battles and tackle the toughest enemies. It’s only logical to prioritize selecting soldiers from the reserve to fill the ranks, right?"

Carson Flores expressed gratitude: "Then I’ll rely on you, Captain. These people are my old acquaintances; I wish to help as much as I can. I wouldn’t be at ease sending them to other legions or other squads."

Theron Coffey smiled: "No problem. Look, write a list of the people you want. I’ll personally go and communicate with the higher-ups in the reserves, and as soon as they complete their formation and are incorporated into the reserve, we’ll immediately bring them out and add them to our side."

Carson Flores expressed concern: "My Third Squad’s casualty rate isn’t particularly high; personnel supplements are scarce..."

Theron Coffey chuckled: "Though the rule is to have a thousand in each squad, now your Third Squad is our Ninth Battalion’s trump card. Adjusting the formation internally to let your Third Squad have more personnel—isn’t that possible?"

Carson Flores relaxed: "Alright, I’ll hand over the list later; I’ll leave the rest to you, Captain."

Theron Coffey nodded briskly: "Though I’m the Squad Captain, leading you in battle, privately I serve everyone, solving various problems. Only by solving these issues can our Ninth Battalion unite as one, better striking the enemy and preserving ourselves."

"Under your leadership, the Third Squad’s overall strength is now getting stronger; it’s become our Ninth Battalion’s ace squad. In the future, our Battalion’s reputation will rely heavily on your efforts."

After bidding farewell to Theron Coffey, Carson Flores returned to the camp, wrote a list for Carradine to hand over to Theron Coffey, and asked her to send veterans to guide the camps Carson Flores was on good terms with.

Carson Flores set out again, heading once more to the Spirit Ascension Hall.

In the blink of an eye, a month passed, and Carson Flores’s strength saw another significant boost. However, time was limited; he was still quite far from the Middle Grade Peak.

The stronger one gets, the harder it is to improve further, a rule that doesn’t escape even in the Spirit Ascension Hall.

Yet Carson Flores wasn’t anxious; the Immortal Demon Passage was ever open, and who knows how long this battle would last.

Carson Flores returned to the military camp as the Ninth Battalion completed its preparations once again, moving out to the front line.

Combat was growing increasingly brutal, with the figure of Quasi-Saints appearing more frequently in the formations. Their presence brought along heavy casualties, be it in the Immortal Realm or the Demon Realm, both suffering tremendous losses.

From earlier probing and skirmishes, the war had now escalated to full-scale slaughter, turning both worlds into a grinding machine of flesh, continually consuming the lives of beings from both sides.

Time quickly passed, another six months, and the battlefield remained heated.

According to past experiences, the Immortal Demon Passage should be narrowing and closing gradually at this time. Then, the Demon Realm’s troops would attack more frenziedly, like a desperate struggle before death.

However, at this very moment, the Immortal Demon Passage remained stable, showing no sign of contracting or closing, with the Demon Race continuing its stable yet sustained offensive without the usual urgency.

Clearly, the Demon Race had anticipated this, prepared for a protracted war.

Until now, hopes of the entire War God Mansion, the ten legions, and the vast reserves completely shattered.

The Immortal Demon Passage wouldn’t close again!

Either the two realms continue this slaughter, feeding this bottomless pit with people until one side couldn’t take it anymore and ultimately retreats, or decide the victor by launching the fiercest offensive in a short period, breaking through the enemy lines, invading the other’s territory, expanding the battlefield, making it diverse instead of the current tasteless attrition.

The high-level meetings and arguments at the War God Mansion went on again and again until Norric Shepard struck the table with finality.

This cannot go on.

Break through!

Rather than bleeding incessantly, better focus all strength on a decisive battle!

This year saw many spiritual power cannon emplacements destroyed one after another, mountain-like defenses collapsed repeatedly, and despite the defending legions doing their utmost to remedy, the entire defense line showed numerous vulnerabilities, fraught with hidden dangers.

Continuing to defend would certainly lead to trouble; since that’s the case, capitalize on the arrival of reinforcements from various Immortal Domains and launch an all-out assault to annihilate all demons entering the Crimson Immortal Domain and invade the Demon Realm.

If successful, press forward vigorously; if unsuccessful, rebuild the defensive line based on the Immortal Demon Passage, sealing the enemy outside!
