Chapter 2820: Chapter 2820: Farewell (6)

Yang Ruxin almost wanted to clap—Nian Qianqian was speaking with such philosophical depth. "I am who I am," she said, and one could almost add "a unique spark" after it—perfect!

But Mo Chou was fuming, "You lie, you..."

Nian Qianqian just shrugged, "Believe it or not."

Mo Chou wanted to strike, but Zhang Changyang gave her no chance, once again making her cough up blood, and then he looked at Nian Qianqian.

Nian Qianqian leaped forward—this was Yulu Palace’s affair. Even though she had disbanded Yulu Palace when her master died many years ago, cleaning house was still her responsibility.

But Mo Chou suddenly struck her own chest and then stubbornly stood up, engaging Nian Qianqian once more. However, her tactic was now a desperate, suicidal one.

Nian Qianqian was surprisingly forced into a draw by her.

"Let’s die together," Mo Chou’s body was entangled by Nian Qianqian’s silk ribbon, yet she advanced instead of retreating, stubbornly holding Nian Qianqian’s arm, then shooting skyward.

"Qianqian!" Zhang Changyang was startled, but it was too late to intervene.

Yang Ruxin suddenly let out a whistle.

A series of eagle cries echoed from the sky, and then a flock of eagles, led by Xiaohei, swooped in from all directions towards Mo Chou.

A scream of agony spread across the sky.

Then someone was seen falling down.

Zhang Changyang quickly leaped up in the air and caught his wife.

Then came the falling Mo Chou.

With a thud, even the dust was stirred up.

"You can be considered to have returned to your roots, not died in a foreign land," Yang Ruxin walked over, watching the constantly blood-spitting Mo Chou, and sighed softly.

"Although you betrayed our master, he entrusted me with returning you to Yulu Palace if possible," Nian Qianqian also came over at this time. "So, rest assured and go in peace."

Mo Chou opened her mouth to say something, but her voice was too faint to be heard.

Nian Qianqian wanted to squat down to listen.

But Yang Ruxin pulled her back: "Senior Nian, you must guard against her last move."

Nian Qianqian paused, then indeed stepped back two steps.

Yang Ruxin approached, "Elder Mo Chou, are you trying to talk about the Sun Cult? Don’t worry, I’ve pretty much learned what I need to know. You can rest easy; they won’t stir much trouble. Oh, and we are aware of the Wokou invasion and Prince Han’s rebellion too. They’ll be managed, so you truly don’t need to worry about us not being prepared."

Mo Chou’s eyes rolled upward, infuriated.

"Are you done already or what?" Dao Xuzi, who had been watching with his face exposed from the start, grew impatient. "If you’re going to kill, do it quickly, kill and leave without dilly-dallying. I’m starving here."

"Goodbye, senior sister," Nian Qianqian suddenly raised her hand as she spoke.

But Mo Chou suddenly spat out fresh blood, then smiled at Nian Qianqian before becoming still.

Nian Qianqian lowered her raised hand, sighing softly, "If only you’d known this earlier, why did you do it back then?"

Two hours later, the flames dwindled and went out, leaving a small heap of ashes on the ground. Nian Qianqian collected them into a white porcelain jar and sealed it, then joined Zhang Changyang to bid farewell to Yang Ruxin and Dao Xuzi, going to fulfill their master You Luosha’s final wish—to return Mo Chou to Yulu Palace.
