The First Immortal of Destiny
Chapter 1079: The Truth of the Cultivation World
The two contracted cultivators who worship the Long Eared God brought a war prisoner before Shen Mo, paid their respects to Shen Mo, and then turned to leave.
This war prisoner is an Elder under the Wind God within the Cang Country’s God Path system. He is a mid-level military leader in the multinational coalition, leading more than a thousand light cavalry as the vanguard against Yi Country. He was defeated by Qing Country’s army in a skirmish, and was captured by contracted cultivators.
As the great battle draws near, Shen Mo, Chen Mengze, and Jiang Yingying have been stationed at the front line these days. Shortly after Shen Mo gave his order, his subordinates selected suitable candidates from the prisoner camp!
“An Elder under the Wind God, it’s enough.”
Shen Mo extended his hand towards this Xian Dao Stronghold, starting from his auditory senses, blocked his five senses, compelling him to involuntarily begin offering his origin power in sacrifice to the Wind God in exchange for Divine Power. However, this Divine Power quickly flowed into the token in Shen Mo’s hand, activating the Divine Runes inscribed on it.
The next instant, the Wind God’s God Realm was forcibly opened.
Due to the lack of access to the Immortal Path in the cultivation world, Shen Mo couldn’t directly use the phantom of the Death Jaw in his Mind Sea to contact Guan Ling.
He could only slay a fake god, using its scattered primal Essence and Qi to summon Guan Ling’s power.
The Wind God’s Divine Nature and combat power were not strong, and Shen Mo didn’t spend much effort destroying the Divine Runes within its Vitality. The origin power began to scatter, and a piece of flesh resembling a broken organ fell out. Meanwhile, all disciples in the God Path world who worshiped the Wind God lost their Divine Power.
The phantom of the Death Jaw appeared, and a colorful light swept Shen Mo and the broken organ piece into the gate.
…
“Fellow daoist Qingyun, do you have something to discuss with me?”
Guan Ling saw that Shen Mo had only slain a fake god and immediately guessed his intent.
Shen Mo nodded, pondering for a while before saying, “Guan fellow daoist, can you show me the entire view of the Star Zone where the cultivation world is located?”
He had tried using the [Riding the Clouds and Mist] Destiny to fly beyond the Nine Heavens. Due to the absence of clouds and mist in the Outer Void, he couldn’t venture far from the primary star. What he saw of the Star Zone was just a blue planet, a sun, and a moon endlessly orbiting, with the rest empty and devoid of any other entities.
The absence of nature’s spiritual energy was normal, but within this Star Zone, even small dust particles, water vapor, and starlight from other worlds’ suns didn’t exist at all.
However, within the cultivation world, the stars could be seen filling the sky.
“This matter is not difficult,” Guan Ling replied with a smile, then waved her hand, and the scene outside the grass hut began to transform.
From an originally dark void, it gradually became fantastically bizarre, filled with various unimaginable spectacles and colors, but quickly returned to normal, presenting the full view of the Star Zone from a peculiar perspective.
Just as Shen Mo saw initially, apart from the main star and the sun and moon, there was nothing else, only boundless nothingness!
“Originally, there were numerous worlds here, each inhabited by countless creatures, with Immortal Path thriving. But many tens of thousands of years ago, it became the battlefield for Xian Dao Stronghold and leftover evils of the old era. After an indescribable war, the entire Star Zone was rendered into Cosmic Ruins, nothing, including Immortal Path, could exist here…” Guan Ling’s tone was calm, but Shen Mo could see that her heart was not without waves.
“Then do you know how this cultivation world was formed?”
“I don’t know.” Guan Ling shook her head straightforwardly, explaining, “When I came pursuing my master’s corpse, this cultivation world had already existed for millions of years. And although this cosmic wasteland is still within the universe, its situation is extremely special, devoid of future or past, and I cannot use the power of time and space from my body to see past or future events!”
“I came to find you today precisely for this matter,” Shen Mo said, casting a spell to imprint the scene he glimpsed earlier when activating the Sevenfold God Rune onto a jade slip, then handing the jade slip to Guan Ling.
Guan Ling reached out and took the jade slip, examined it with her mind, her face involuntarily showing an expression of astonishment.
She saw in the vast void, from outside the universe, a colossal corpse drifting over, surrounded by colorful light, divine might overwhelming.
From its appearance and aura, it was evidently a “Nature God” among the leftover evils of the old era. Such creatures are true Deities, born in the Divinity Era, living outside the universe, rather than fake gods within the cultivation world; but it seems to have been dead for a long time, without a single fluctuation of vitality.
Countless thousands of years passed, and the Dao runes in its divine corpse began to break down, along with its body transforming in strange ways.
Its main body gradually transformed into a world…
Its bones and bone marrow turned into mineral deposits and underground magma, forming the framework of this world; its muscles and skin became the vast lands and mountains, allowing all things to grow; its hair became flowers, grass, and trees, providing a place for creatures to dwell; its veins and blood became rivers and lakes, nourishing the earth; the worms on its body gradually transformed into the creatures of this realm, reproducing among the heavens and earth.
Its heart became fire, its lungs became wind, its kidneys became rain, its liver became thunder, and its left and right eyes became the sun and moon, bringing light and warmth to the world while establishing the order of the four seasons!
“The entire cultivation world was formed from the corpse of this Nature God, and after its Divine Runes broke down, they permeated the heavens and earth. The corpse of the Empyrean Fairy was divided into millions of parts and buried in this world by the leftover evils of old, and the fake gods born from her corpse are also composed of Divine Runes, with the authority corresponding to the objects formed from the Nature God’s divine corpse…”
Shen Mo pointed to the distant sun and continued, “Within the cultivation world, there is a top fake god named the Flame Sun God, presumably transformed from Senior Yang’s left eye, its authority also related to the sun and sunlight. And the right eye that birthed the Silver Moon God.”
“Years ago, I suspected the motive behind the leftover evils of old killing Senior Yang, dismembering her and burying her in the cultivation world. They could have treated her like Senior Bai Sheng, burying Yang’s corpse in the Death Ghost Realm; even if Senior Yang’s cultivation level reached the heavens and someone like you aided, revival would hardly be possible to return.
“Now it seems they either intend to use Senior Yang’s hand to resurrect this Nature God who fell countless thousands of years ago. Or they want to transform Senior Yang into a true Nature God!”
“I lean towards the latter. For the leftover evils of old, one more or one less Nature God is insignificant. But if Senior Yang revives and breaks free of the constraints of Immortal Path, becoming a Deity, she would be the first divine being since the Divinity Era, and this opportunity could penetrate the God Path of the old era into the entire universe.”
