The Fragrance of My Hot Patients
Chapter 338
Chapter 338: Chapter 338
Although An Xiaoqing and Chenyang hadn’t known each other for long, she already had a decent understanding of him.
She knew he was a steady person who would never go into a fight unprepared.
When a steady person like him mentioned probabilities, they were always conservative.
So, if he dared to say he was ninety percent sure, his chances of winning were basically a hundred percent.
In that case, they wouldn’t need to ask Rongrong for help after all.
Lost in thought, An Xiaoqing started dialing Rongrong’s number as she and Chenyang walked toward the exit.
But when she reached the door, she suddenly stopped and glanced at Gao Tianqi, who was still unconscious in the middle of the yard. "If we just leave him out here like this, will he be okay?"
Chenyang scoffed. "A minute ago, you were wishing he’d drop dead. Why the sudden concern?"
"I do wish he’d drop dead. But if he dies here, we’ll definitely get dragged into it."
"He won’t die. He just passed out from anger. He’ll wake up on his own in less than half an hour."
"That’s a relief, then."
An Xiaoqing smiled, pursing her lips, then stared at her phone. "Why isn’t she picking up?"
"Keep trying while we walk."
Gao Tianqi’s family estate was right behind the hotel where Lin Jiji was staying. An Xiaoqing was very familiar with the area and knew a shortcut, so it only took them two or three minutes to arrive in front of the hotel.
"Still no luck with your friend’s phone?"
"Nope. It just keeps ringing."
An Xiaoqing paused. "It’s getting late. Let’s just go in so we don’t waste any more time. She’ll probably call me back when she sees the missed calls."
"Alright! Then let’s..."
BEEP BEEP~!
Just as Chenyang was about to speak, the sound of a car horn suddenly pierced the quiet night.
Immediately after, a blinding beam of light shone in their faces.
"Dammit, who the hell is shining their high beams in a piece-of-shit car like that?"
An Xiaoqing cursed under her breath and started walking forward as the car came to a stop in front of them.
The car door opened, and a woman stepped out.
The light was too bright for Chenyang to see her face clearly, but her build and attire projected a powerful, martial aura rarely seen in women.
She wore a black, form-fitting tank top.
Her full, impressive bust strained against the thin fabric, making the deep cleavage below the neckline exceptionally eye-catching and alluring.
Her exposed waist was slender, but the defined shape of her abs was clearly visible above her navel.
Below, she wore a pair of slightly loose, dark green pants.
Although the pants hid the shape of her legs, it was easy to tell that they were long.
She walked with a steady gait, her shoes landing with an audible firmness.
From these details alone, Chenyang was certain she was a trained fighter—and one who had received professional instruction.
Paired with An Xiaoqing’s earlier description, he figured this beautiful woman had to be Rongrong.
Chenyang was right. The woman who had stepped out of the car was, in fact, Rongrong.
She looked at An Xiaoqing, who was still grumbling, and said with a smile, "And here I was, getting cursed at. To get here and help you, I had to speed all the way and run several red lights. If my old man finds out later, I’m guaranteed to get another earful."
"You deserve it! It’d be even better if he smacked you around a bit." An Xiaoqing scowled, clearly still angry about Rongrong blinding her with the headlights.
Rongrong scoffed. "I’m afraid your wish to see my old man beat me up is never going to come true. Not to brag, but with my skills now, my dad and my older brother together might not even be a match for me."
"Yeah, you’re a real badass."
"Of course. Among all our friends, I can’t say I’m the prettiest, but I’m definitely the best fighter and the one who has the least reason to fear her elders."
"If you’re so fearless, then next time your dad gets mad and tries to discipline you, why don’t you beat him up right in front of me?"
"I..."
Seeing Rongrong suddenly at a loss for words, An Xiaoqing took a step forward and taunted, "You what? Weren’t you acting all tough just a second ago? Cat got your tongue?"
"I... No matter how tough I am, I can’t hit my own father! That would be completely out of line."
When it came to fists, Rongrong could take on twenty An Xiaoqings. But when it came to a war of words, twenty Rongrongs were no match for a single An Xiaoqing.
To avoid any more of An Xiaoqing’s taunts, she quickly walked over to Chenyang. "Hey, you must be Yang City’s newest superstar, Chenyang, right?"
Chenyang raised an eyebrow. "I’m Chenyang, that’s true, but when did I become a ’new superstar’?"
"In a single day, your name has spread to every corner of Yang City’s media. Anyone who goes online knows your name. Doesn’t that make you a star?"
"Rongrong, what nonsense are you talking?" An Xiaoqing quickly pulled her aside. "You know perfectly well that Chenyang was framed and that everything online is just smearing his reputation. Saying that on purpose is like rubbing salt in his wound!"
"It’s not that serious, is it? I was just kidding. He’s a grown man, is he really going to get mad over something like that?"
An Xiaoqing shot her an annoyed glare before turning to Chenyang with a smile. "Don’t be mad, okay? My friend here spent too much time in the military. She’s got a one-track mind and says whatever she thinks without a filter."
Chenyang waved his hand. "I’m not angry. In fact, I quite like your friend’s personality. Being straightforward is a good thing."
"And I like handsome men like you, Brother Chen," Rongrong said with a chuckle, leaning in. She shamelessly patted Chenyang’s chest. "Tsk, you’ve got pecs. A little more solid than I imagined...
See? There’s a hotel right next to us. Interested in getting a room so I can get a closer look... and a better feel of those pecs...?"
