The Fragrance of My Hot Patients
Chapter 379
Chapter 379: Chapter 379
In the spacious parking lot, people claiming to be Lin Jiji’s fans were shouting vicious insults.
Others, posing as victims, were delivering self-righteous condemnations.
These grating voices, like a downpour of thorny rain, crashed down upon the surrounded Chenyang.
If spit could really drown a man, Chenyang would have been dead once or twice over by now.
But unfortunately, spit can’t drown a person, and these insults—already steeped in prejudice and slander—couldn’t inflict any real harm on Chenyang!
He glanced at the indignant crowd and said with complete composure, "I can understand your condemnation and insults. After all, you either blindly believe what your so-called idol said, or you’ve been incited or paid off by someone."
"Getting paid to defend your idol makes perfect sense. I’d do the same if I were you. But you can’t curse me to death, and insults alone won’t solve the problem.
"So I’m asking you, once you’re done shouting, to please clear a path. I’ll face the trouble and I’ll solve the problem. Just give me some time."
"My ass!"
"You’ve done so much fucking disgusting shit, we’re all itching to kill you right here. Why would we ever give you a chance to leave?"
"That’s right! We finally caught you. You’re not going anywhere!"
Chenyang sneered. "If I don’t go, how is this problem going to be solved? Are you judges? Can you pass judgment on me directly? Or are you saying you dare to kill me for your idol?
"Listen, everyone, we’re all adults. When a problem comes up, why don’t we try to think it through like adults? You surrounding me here solves nothing. When I say I’m going, I don’t mean I’m leaving this place. I mean I’m going inside the hospital to give you all a formal setting to sort out this whole mess!"
Upon hearing this, many people in the crowd were visibly swayed.
They weren’t judges, after all, and had no right to pass judgment on anyone.
Likewise, while some of the fans were bold enough to demand justice for their idol, they didn’t dare to actually do anything to Chenyang.
They had only joined the crowd to surround him because they were afraid he’d make a run for it.
Now, Chenyang showed no signs of fleeing. Instead, he projected an attitude of someone ready to face the situation head-on.
Under the circumstances, doing as he said was clearly the right move. Cornering him here wouldn’t solve a thing.
But just as most people were about to clear a path, someone in the crowd suddenly shouted.
"We may not be judges, but as citizens, we have a duty to deal with a scumbag like you."
"That’s right! You have to pay the price for all the despicable things you’ve done."
"Everyone, don’t fall for Chenyang’s words! He isn’t prepared to handle this properly. In fact, he’s not even capable of handling it.
"Everyone saw the evidence online yesterday. This guy doesn’t even have a medical license! To be frank, his identity as a doctor is fake. He dared to deceive a major institution like the City Hospital, which just goes to show he’s a complete and utter fraud. Forget his words, we can’t even trust a single punctuation mark he writes."
The people who had abruptly shouted weren’t at the very front, nor were they hiding in the back. Instead, they were scattered in several inconspicuous spots within the middle of the crowd.
Furthermore, when Chenyang looked in the direction of the voices, he noticed those people had intentionally kept their heads down while shouting. As soon as they were done, they would immediately move, clearly trying to prevent anyone from seeing their faces or finding them easily.
Chenyang narrowed his eyes. ’These must be shills deliberately planted by Lin Jiji.’
Their purpose was to make the situation even more complicated—in other words, to muddy the waters so that even if Chenyang found evidence to clear his name, he wouldn’t get the chance to present it.
Following that train of thought, it wasn’t hard to conclude that the crowd had likely gathered here after being stirred up by those same individuals.
They were very good at instigating and agitating.
While Chenyang was lost in thought, those words did their work. The crowd, whose resolve had been wavering, instantly abandoned the idea of letting him pass and began cursing him once more.
As the curses grew louder and more vicious, Yan Rongrong started to lose her patience.
"Stop wasting your breath on them! With our skills, we may not be able to knock them all down, but breaking through and getting into the hospital won’t be a problem. I say we just get physical."
"A beautiful woman like you, a big boss of your status—don’t you know that resorting to fists is the most primitive solution?"
"Fists are the most direct and simplest way to solve a problem. How is that primitive?"
"It’s the simplest method, sure. But if you attack them without provocation and it turns into a real incident, believe me, not even your father will be able to protect you."
Yan Rongrong’s eyes narrowed. A few nasty insults weren’t a legitimate reason to get violent. She thought for a moment, then asked, "So what’s the plan? We can’t just stand here and let them curse at us, right?"
Chenyang gave a wry smile, then leaned in and whispered a few words in her ear.
"Will that work?"
"It might not solve everything, but it will put control of the situation back in our hands, no problem."
