Chapter 102: Chapter 83: Lust Is a Bone-Scraping Knife, but My Bones Are Hard
Seeing that Lu Chen actually blocked her continuous flurry of attacks, the smile on the White-faced Spider’s face gradually disappeared, replaced by a serious expression. This boy... didn’t seem so simple.
Initially, when she discovered that Lu Chen was merely a Qi Refining cultivator, she felt he posed absolutely no threat to her. Furthermore, his handsome appearance suited her tastes perfectly. That was why she had ignored the Gold-devouring Ant-man’s warning and come to this underground passage alone to hunt Lu Chen, this interesting and appetizing prey.
But after just this one brief clash, the White-faced Spider realized she had underestimated Lu Chen. Could a Qi Refining cultivator truly reach this level of Sword Skill?
However, despite her surprise, she still didn’t associate Lu Chen with the mysterious cultivator who killed the Jade-faced Saber Mantis. In her memory, she had never seen or heard of a Qi Refining cultivator defeating a Foundation Establishment Stage Nine Nether Evil Object across realms.
Thus, even though she found Lu Chen a bit troublesome at the moment, the thought of fleeing never crossed her mind. After all, it was a Foundation Establishment fighting a Qi Cultivation in a narrow, dim underground passage. The advantage was hers; why would she run?
Perhaps feeling that a stalemate was getting them nowhere, the White-faced Spider’s beautiful feet suddenly shed their disguised human skin, completely transforming into sharp Leg Blades. Then, she planted her hands on the ground and abruptly kicked a blade toward Lu Chen’s face from a tricky, unpredictable angle.
SHING...
The two figures intersected and temporarily came to a halt.
The White-faced Spider stood on one leg, her right leg raised and half-bent. The special Leg Blade—with everything below her thigh transformed into a sharp edge—gleamed with a cold light in the dim underground passage. A trickle of blood slid down from the raised tip of the Leg Blade, dripping onto the damp floor.
Gazing at the tiny cut that had appeared on Lu Chen’s cheek, the White-faced Spider teased, "Handsome boy, it seems your bones... aren’t hard enough.
"If this is all the skill you have, then I’ll just have to give you a proper lesson."
What her "lesson" entailed was self-evident.
Even though his cheek was slightly cut by the White-faced Spider’s Leg Blade, Lu Chen still remained expressionless, unyielding to both force and persuasion. He looked exactly like an emotionless block of wood. His lotus-shaped pupils constantly shifted, staring intently at the White-faced Spider’s two jade-like feet.
Seeing this, the White-faced Spider assumed her charm was working. She spoke in a seductive voice, "So you like this, handsome boy. You should have said so earlier. If you had told me sooner, maybe I... would have let you play with them."
Lu Chen did not reply, simply continuing to calmly observe the pair of feet that had turned into blades.
Although the White-faced Spider spoke casually, her instincts sensed that something was wrong. This guy was constantly staring at her legs not because of some peculiar tastes, but for some other hidden purpose...
Thinking of this, the White-faced Spider decided to stop playing games with Lu Chen. She was gradually being overcome by a growing sense of unease. It was simply because Lu Chen was acting far too calmly.
There was only one answer for such a reaction. He believed he wasn’t in a desperate situation yet, and everything was currently under his control.
To the White-faced Spider, this was undoubtedly a very bad sign. It meant Lu Chen might still possess some hidden trump card she didn’t know about.
At this thought, the White-faced Spider’s muscles tensed all over as she assumed a stance to gather her strength.
"Handsome boy, my time is limited, so I won’t play with you any longer.
"After I chop off your limbs and take you back, I’ll play with you properly."
As soon as the words left her mouth, the White-faced Spider lunged at Lu Chen again. This time, her speed was a full fifty percent faster than before.
CLANG CLANG CLANG...
When the White-faced Spider got serious, the intensity of their battle rose to another level. To her shock, however, even though she was taking this seriously, she still couldn’t take Lu Chen down. While she had indeed sped up her Leg Technique, Lu Chen’s Swordsmanship... had also grown faster.
She realized that something was incredibly wrong. This guy was absolutely not in the ordinary Qi Cultivation Stage!
Right as the White-faced Spider reeled in shock, Lu Chen deflected her foot with his Magic Sword. He then executed a swift spin, raising his right leg high, and launched a kick straight at her face.
Because the kick came too suddenly, and Lu Chen had seized the perfect timing, the White-faced Spider could only barely tilt her head to dodge. Even so, the fierce wind kicked up by the blow still scraped a long, narrow cut across her face.
The White-faced Spider hastily distanced herself. She stood a short distance away, clutching her face, her eyes filled with astonishment as she stared at Lu Chen.
For some reason, Lu Chen had put away his Magic Sword. He stood on one leg in the passage, his right leg raised. Astonishingly, his posture was exactly the same as the stance she had taken when she attacked him moments ago!
No, it wasn’t just the attacking posture that was identical—even the wound...
The White-faced Spider glanced at the cut on her right cheek from the corner of her eye. Aside from a slight difference in length, the position of the wound on her cheek was exactly the same as the one on Lu Chen’s cheek.
Was this a coincidence, or...
She didn’t dare think deeper about it, as the speculation was truly terrifying. However, there was one thing she was certain of: Lu Chen seemed to have genuinely learned her Leg Technique during their few brief exchanges.
There was definitely something bizarre about this cultivator of the Human Race!
At this realization, the White-faced Spider’s mindset completely shifted. This was not some prey she could toy with, but a powerful opponent she needed to go all out against!
Just as the White-faced Spider changed her mindset, Lu Chen, on the other side, held the Leg Technique stance for a moment before silently lowering his foot and drawing his Magic Sword once more.
After all, while the White-faced Spider’s Leg Technique was certainly not bad, it still wasn’t as handy as his own Swordsmanship. At best, it could only be used as a supplementary tool.

"Human Race boy, you have successfully enraged me."
As she spoke, the White-faced Spider’s head suddenly split open, and a hideous white jade spider head replaced her originally charming and glamorous aristocratic face. Following that, she raised her hands, and her ten fingers began to shoot out countless transparent spider webs that were invisible to the naked eye.
These threads quickly covered most of the area around her, acting like an invisible giant net that enveloped both her and Lu Chen inside.
In response, Lu Chen watched curiously, showing no intention of stopping her.
After finishing all this, the White-faced Spider perhaps felt that victory was within her grasp. With a confident look on her face, she said, "Even if you can learn my Leg Blade, can you learn this?"
Lu Chen looked at the mysterious black patterns emerging on the White-faced Spider’s body, then at the transparent threads spread all around. After a moment of silence, he suddenly smiled.
This smile instantly made the White-faced Spider nearly choke on her breath. She thought frantically that this was a special Superpower unique to her—he couldn’t possibly tell her he could learn this too. Surely this boy wasn’t a spider as well!
Looking at the nervous White-faced Spider, Lu Chen seemed to have guessed her thoughts. He said calmly, "I’m not a spider, so I really can’t learn this one..."
"PHEW..."
The moment he said this, the White-faced Spider immediately breathed a huge sigh of relief. If Lu Chen could learn even this, she truly wouldn’t know what to do.
However, Lu Chen’s next words caused the White-faced Spider’s pupils to shrink in shock.
"Although I can’t learn it... I should be able to try mimicking it."
As he spoke, Lu Chen’s Cyan Lotus Pupil began to emit a faint emerald-green glow. Soon after, intricate patterns began to surface around the corners of his eyes, eventually spreading all the way across his entire body.
In the next second, countless Spiritual Power threads that resembled spider webs were released from Lu Chen’s body, overtaking many of the spots that originally belonged to the White-faced Spider’s threads.
Seeing this, the White-faced Spider was completely shocked speechless. She wondered in sheer disbelief how he could actually learn it!
