The Game Became Reality, I Became an Immortal in Reality
Chapter 136 - 95: When You Let Me Get This Close, You Are Already Dead
Chapter 136: Chapter 95: When You Let Me Get This Close, You Are Already Dead
Outside the Nine Dragon Cave, the newly resurrected Lu Chen began his post-death review, a process he hadn’t done in a long time.
He originally thought that after mastering the Dragon Transformation Sword Intent, steamrolling through a small game Dungeon like the ’Bearers of the Tripod’ would be a piece of cake. After all, the final BOSSes of the previous two Dungeons were merely at the early Foundation Establishment Stage. Moreover, they both had quite a few weaknesses, making them even weaker than an average Foundation Establishment Cultivator.
Thus, he hadn’t paid too much attention to the BOSS of the ’Bearers of the Tripod’ Dungeon at first. He had approached it with the mindset of a max-level character returning to the beginner’s village—hoping for a crushing victory just to relax.
But who could have imagined that the Bearers of the Tripod Dungeon was a classic bait-and-switch? The final Dungeon BOSS was neither a ’Tripod Cauldron’ nor a ’Bearer’, but a dragon. A genuine Fortune Golden Dragon!
Although it was only a Foundation Establishment First Level Corpse Dragon, its Personhood was high, and there were many of them! Lu Chen estimated that if converted into a Cultivator’s Foundation Establishment Quality, the Corpse Dragons controlled by the Little Golden Dragon were at least at the Third Grade Heavenly Dao Foundation Establishment Stage.
An expert! Who would have thought that there was actually an expert... hidden within this Dungeon!
Thinking about the uniqueness of those four Corpse Dragons made Lu Chen’s head ache. It was simply because they completely countered him.
Right now, his entire arsenal was essentially built around his Dragon Transformation Sword Intent. This Sword Intent’s greatest Features were twofold: first, it could form a specific Sword Momentum to suppress enemies; second, it allowed his Swordsmanship to mimic the attacks of a Flood Dragon, imbuing his strikes with Sword Intent damage.
However, these two points meant absolutely nothing to the Little Golden Dragon. After all, the Little Golden Dragon itself was a dragon! How could a mere Flood Dragon possibly harm a True Dragon like it?
So, casting those aside, the only aspect of Lu Chen’s Dragon Transformation Sword Intent that could actually deal damage to the Little Golden Dragon was its concussive force. But relying solely on that to harm a Dragon Corpse comparable to the Heavenly Dao Foundation Establishment Stage was undoubtedly a fool’s errand.
Nevertheless, this minor defeat made Lu Chen realize the importance of the ’Dao’ once again. As long as his Dragon Transformation Sword Intent wasn’t countered, he could indeed easily defeat opponents whose Cultivation far exceeded his own. But once that advantage was lost, he was essentially placed on the same starting line as everyone else, forced to compete using only foundational Cultivation and other Technique Divine Techniques.
"I truly underestimated the world’s experts before. I thought that after mastering Sword Intent, even if I encountered a special Foundation Establishment entity I couldn’t defeat, I could at least retreat unscathed.
"But looking at it now, I was taking things too much for granted.
"I’m not the only one in this world with fortuitous encounters; others have their own destinies as well.
"Encountering an ordinary Foundation Establishment Cultivator is fine, but if I face one who has also mastered the ’Dao’, fighting above my Level to defeat them won’t be so easy.
"Right now, if I rely solely on my Swordsmanship or my Dragon Transformation Sword Intent, I have basically no chance of defeating that Little Golden Dragon.
"Only by mastering another Dao that the Little Golden Dragon cannot counter, combined with two uses of the Outer Path One Sword, will I have a chance at victory," he thought.
Thinking of this, Lu Chen immediately looked at his Skill panel.
[Mountain-Breaking Fist: Mastery 100/6000]
[Current Experience Points: 8325]
"Right now, the Mountain-Breaking Fist has reached Mastery. Next, it must break through to Great Success and then Breaking Realm before it can reach Entering the Dao.
"Based on the previous upgrade process of the Dragon Transformation Sword Intent, once a Skill reaches Breaking Realm, advancing it further won’t be so easy.
"I should save these Experience Points for now and use them when the time is right to boost the Level of the Mountain-Breaking Fist in one fell swoop.
"After all, the higher the Skill Level, the greater the value of using Experience Points to upgrade it," he noted.
Having figured this out, Lu Chen chose not to challenge the Little Golden Dragon again. Instead, he stood up and walked toward the wall nearby, where he had previously exposed the black Tripod Cauldron’s body.
Given his current situation, fighting the Little Golden Dragon again wouldn’t change the outcome, no matter how many times he tried. So, rather than challenging it directly, Lu Chen decided to bide his time and focus his energy on increasing the Skill Level of his Mountain-Breaking Fist.
After all, the Cultivation of the Mountain-Breaking Fist was not actually a complicated process. He simply needed to continuously punch the mountainside. During this process, the harder the rock, the better the Cultivation Effect. That black Tripod Cauldron wall was undoubtedly the best punching target. Given his current Power, let alone a Mastery Level Mountain-Breaking Fist, even if it reached the Dao Entry Level or beyond, he still wouldn’t necessarily be able to damage this special Black Cauldron descended from the Cyan Cloud Upper Immortal.
Aside from having an excellent wall for punching practice, Lu Chen had a special method to double his Mountain-Breaking Fist’s Cultivation speed. That was his Talent Divine Techniques: Outer Path Incarnation!
As Lu Chen executed his Divine Techniques, an identical replica of himself appeared by his side. He then nodded at his Outer Path Incarnation. The replica understood immediately, walking up to the wall of the black Tripod Cauldron’s body and instantly throwing a Mountain-Breaking Fist at it.
BAM!
Looking at the completely motionless black wall, the Outer Path Incarnation didn’t seem to feel anything and threw another punch.
Seeing that the Outer Path Incarnation had already begun the Cultivation of the Mountain-Breaking Fist, Lu Chen also started his own Cultivation. His main body and clone practicing together—this was one of the reasons Lu Chen was confident he could raise the Skill Level of his Mountain-Breaking Fist in a short amount of time without using Experience Points.
The same amount of time, but double the Cultivation efficiency!
