Chapter 1229: Chapter 835: The Rift Becomes a Gate (Part 2)

Fingertips swiftly glided gently through the void, and a special communication channel appeared in front of him.

"Coordinates, Level, Energy mode, Conversion pathway estimation data stream—send!"

Oliver’s will, as tangible as iron, compressed the terrifying reality he observed into a beam of light, instantly shooting it through the wartime channel connected to the Guardian squad, straight to the core command hall of Ring Tower City.

Cedric braced against the heavy blow of a Destroyer’s crystal hammer, the Giant Shield emitted a muffled vibration, and the ground beneath his feet cracked inch by inch.

Without turning his head, his voice steady as iron yet instantly discerning the gravest possibility: "Confirm reception! Judgment: The target has surpassed the standard rift of the Vanguard Army and is transforming into a stable ’pathway’! If its expansion speed gets out of control, the catastrophic level index will skyrocket! This place is the dam gate, not a step back!"

His judgment was cold and clear.

Just like the Hamilton stronghold squad pinned down coordinates with their lives before, at this moment, this Soul Guardian squad is the last and strongest shackle to prevent this about-to-be-completed Gate of Void from getting completely out of control.

Once this gate is cleared, what will gush out will no longer be "creatures" but a deluge of destruction and more terrifying legions.

Almost at the moment Oliver’s information was sent, and Cedric’s decision was issued.

That violet-black vortex suddenly paused, contracted, and then exploded with a deep purple column of light piercing the sky.

As the light dissipated, a brand-new, mirror-stable, larger than ten meters in diameter giant ring floated at the original rift’s position.

It was the standard mode of the expanding Gate of Void.

Undoubtedly confirmed.

But how was it done that it would actually be a Gate of Void.

Buzz—!

A far purer, more condensed, and even more oppressive aura of destruction spread.

The air seemed to freeze, and even the low-level Void Creatures in fierce battle briefly stalled, emitting submissive hisses.

A figure slowly stepped out from the cold gate.

It stood nearly five meters tall, its form both sleek and bizarre, like an artistic creation carved from the purest energy crystal and a deformed embryo’s fusion.

What covered its body was no longer carapace or membrane but layers upon layers of translucent prismatic crystals flowing with deep violet-black luster.

Its head had no features, only a complex polyhedral crystal rotating endlessly and emitting a faint blue glow, as if containing a dead celestial cloud.

Its limbs were proportionate to a humanoid, but at the ends were sharp crystal claws and hooves; with each step, the crystallized ground extended a web of purple-black lines, emanating a perpetual aura of desolation.

This was the Void Commander stepping into the Legendary Domain—[Annihilation Throat].

Its level, Level Twelve.

Its reason for existence was ’Obliteration,’ along with the ’Echo of Silence’ domain entangled upon its birth.

Any order creature touched by its soundwaves would see their soul and spirit inevitably wither and decay as though exposed to a vacuum.

Its faceless prismatic head turned towards the Soul Guardian squad that had just joined forces to cleave a crystal hammer destroyer.

A voice, calm as eternal ice yet causing a tidal wave on the spirit level, resonated directly in everyone’s soul.

"Struggle, only increases fluctuations. The world, shall eventually fall silent. Resistance, delays the process. Embrace the void, and you shall find eternal peace.

"Abandon the meaningless clamor, accept the destined... end."

Its voice lacked inflection, lacked emotion, as though the cold Cosmic Law pronouncing judgment.

Every syllable carried a whisper eroding will, seeking to dismantle all resistance.

This was its rule—Echo of Silence.

The fusion of destruction and voice.

Void’s legendary creatures carry a rule of destruction, which means any accompanying rules will be immensely destructive.

Cedric, facing this unprecedented pressure, his Giant Shield hummed, and the Order inscription shone brighter than ever.

He stared directly at that rotating dead prism, his voice deep and weighty, like a rock roaring in a storm.

"Order stands here, it is our responsibility to maintain it! This is not your realm! The barrier stands here, you shall not cross! Baron, Lydia, Isabella—clear the ants swiftly!

"This ’mute,’ leave it to me!"

His commands were concise and clear.

A Level Twelve legendary Void creature, enough to instantly rewrite the battle.

He must be restrained by a fellow Level Eleven entity.

And the other five Level Ten destroyers, though powerful, must be quickly eliminated under the advantage of level and numbers, with Baron’s main attack, Isabella’s precision, and Lydia’s tactical support; otherwise, they will fall into absolute disadvantage.

Not to mention those pesky low-level void creatures surrounding them, although it’s like squashing ants for them, the sheer number is troublesome.

Baron let out a thunderous battle cry, abandoning the tactic of burning small monsters with his chain whip, his entire heavy armor jetting alchemical steam, resembling a frenzied steel-clad rhino.

He brandished the flame-spitting giant chain whip, roaring as he charged toward the destroyer in the form of a lava scorpion-tailed crocodile.

"Big lizard, let’s play, Grandpa! Let’s see if your shell is harder or my fire is hotter!"

The scalding chain whip collided fiercely with the lava pillar tail of the scorpion-tailed crocodile, flames and lava splattering, emitting a deafening boom.

Isabella’s pretty face turned icy cold, her eyes focused solely ahead, drawing her light bow into a full moon.

Under Lydia’s cover, her form moved swiftly, every pause followed by a space-ripping demon-breaking light arrow shot.

"Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!"

Three arrows shot in succession toward the core of the airborne jellyfish-form destroyer-pollutant source, the joints of the humanoid crystal blade destroyer, and the gaping abyss mouth of the shadow raptor destroyer.

"Purification, begin!"

Her voice was like the sound of judgment, each arrow precisely lethal, clashing with the destroyer’s defense and exploding in dazzling energy flashes.

Lydia’s silhouette completely transformed into a battlefield phantom, hauntingly weaving through the destroyers and remaining low-level void creatures.

Her dual blades were no longer merely cold gleams but were smeared with alchemical toxins and space disruptors that corroded crystal life force, glowing deep purple, cutting into the energy structure of polluted creatures.

"Too slow!"

Her whispers were like death’s summons, strategically targeting weaknesses and action lags, creating kill opportunities for Baron and Isabella.

The five destroyers, hit by the sudden frenzied assault, were divided and suppressed, roaring continuously, yet swiftly headed toward destruction under the trio’s coordinated efforts.

At the battlefield’s edge, five armored, raptor-like land birds fought valiantly.

Do not underestimate these land birds; their level is also high enough to handle these void creatures.

Having been datafied, they are absolute war machines.

Capable of rapid all-terrain assault, gliding, swimming, and playing a supportive role in battles.

With such capabilities, land birds became the standard mounts for the Night Watchers.

Their sharp beaks and alloy giant claws tear apart several low-level void creatures with each rise and fall, while their iron hooves crush swarms of crystal foot bugs.

Oliver’s Holy Light protection flickered on them, barely resisting void erosion.

"Screech—!"

A land bird let out a piercing shriek, piercing through the head of a clawed combat beast.

However, they are too few in number; the massive tide of low-level void creatures surged like a filthy flood, beginning to spread past the main battlefield towards the town.

The friction of crystal foot bugs, the mental interference of screechers, merged into a death wave that sent shivers down the spine.

In the distance, the militia of Hampton Town under Old Jack and Hans’ urgent organization leaned on hastily erected barricades and houses, attempting to use simple swords and farming tools to block these seemingly not-so-large purple monsters.

However, when the first crystal foot bug leapt into their visual range, and that wriggling purple light caught their eyes.

"Ah—!"

"Head... my head is splitting!"

"Mom... those voices..."

Void whispers were like countless cold needles, directly piercing their untempered spirits.

Heart-wrenching screams instantly echoed, and the weaker-willed militia clutched their heads, collapsing to the ground, tears streaming.

Some even had their eyes roll back, faint purple-black blood seeping from their seven orifices, their spirits instantly damaged.

Merely being affected by the high-tier battlefield’s scattered pollution, these ordinary lives proved unbearable.

Hans’ eyes turned red, fiercely hacking at a crystal foot bug temporarily dispelled of its influence by Holy Light, while roaring.

"Cover your ears! Don’t look at them! Get to the cellar!"
