Chapter 1378: Chapter 904: City of Gods
Kana’s gaze, following Talia’s proud guidance, turned towards the city known as "Bonsai Terrace."
The sight before them truly lived up to its name, a marvel of seamless fusion between nature and divine craftsmanship.
The entire city resembled a meticulously carved jadeite, nestled within a grandiose river valley.
The most awe-inspiring vista was the enormous river, winding and flowing like a dazzling blue gemstone ribbon.
It surged from the misty mountains in the distance, bearing immense life force, and leisurely traversed the very center of the city, splitting the vast city in two.
This is the lifeblood of the city, the flow of life in this region.
It is the pulse of life.
Along the riverbanks lay the city’s main body, with tightly packed buildings sprawling outward along the gentle riverbank plains.
Yet, the most breathtaking aspect was that the city did not confine itself to the flat valley floor.
A portion of it boldly climbed upward, clinging closely to the towering, nearly vertical cliffs on both sides of the valley.
These cliffs themselves were the city’s grandest and most vibrant "bonsai."
Wherever the eyes wandered, the cliffs were dotted with countless large terraces, some naturally formed and others artificially hewn.
These terraces varied in form, some carved deeply into the rock to form serene aerial gardens, while others protruded like giant trays, proudly overlooking the river valley and city below.
Each terrace was an independent and thriving microcosm, meticulously cultivated into natural scenic planters.
They were draped, covered, and climbed upon by innumerable exotic plants.
Lush vines spilled down like waterfalls, their abundant leaves shimmering with varying shades of green in the sunlight.
Clusters of flowers, colorful and diverse in form, blossomed vividly—red like fire, blue like the sea, purple like dreams—adorned within the greenery, akin to scattered stars.
Ancient twisted tree roots burrowed deeply into rock crevices, their crowned foliage unfurling like canopies, casting dappled light and shadow upon the terraces.
These plants did not grow chaotically, but were artfully combined, as though fragments of the Star Realm forest’s essence had been clipped and embedded on the cliffs a kilometer high, creating an encircling vertical panorama of life around the city.
And within this panorama, various exotic insects, birds, and beasts intermittently appeared, adding even more vitality to them.
Each terrace scene might even be a small-world of natural environment.
The river valley itself was embraced by an unimaginably vast wilderness.
Nearby were lush and ancient, deep forests, with dark green tree crowns undulating.
Beyond stretched immense expanses of emerald grasslands like a sprawling jade carpet.
Further away were endless golden wheat fields, undulating with waves of harvest in the breeze.
Between the wheat fields and wilderness, scattered farmhouses and tranquil villages dotted the landscape, smoke curling up, stretching to the horizon, merging with distant mountains.
From the city’s heights, the river valley and wilderness constitute an immeasurably vast, tranquil, bountiful pastoral tableau, filled with the rhythm of life and harmony of nature.
However, when one’s gaze truly returned to the urban complex at the valley floor, the "scale" of the Titan World was profoundly felt.
The seemingly dispersed and irregularly arranged houses were each grand beyond imagination.
No doorway was less than four meters high, enormous windows, rugged and solid stone materials, towering rooftops—all proclaimed this was the land of Giants.
The entire urban complex sprawled across the vast river valley, its scale overwhelmingly immense.
In contrast, the towering cliffs on both sides of the valley, shrouded in distant mist, appeared even more unreachable, highlighting the grandeur of this world and the smallness of one’s existence.
Kana and the others stood on a highland, near a majestic cliff at the city’s edge—Talia’s palace.
This palace cleverly relied on the cliff’s foundation, its main structure seemingly growing out from the mountainside, integrating with the rugged rocks.
The palace’s entire form and structure looked very unique, at least in Kana’s world there was no such style.
But, faint traces of elven influence could be seen.
The design clearly blended nature and elegance, with numerous rare, softly glowing plants meticulously introduced into the courtyards and corridors; even in its construction, a rich life presence was already palpable.
Elf attendants gracefully wove through scaffolding and partially formed exquisite columns, busily at work.
Their slender figures sharply contrasted with the pair of towering Titan Guards standing at the entrance, clad in heavy armor, exuding formidable suppression, silently conveying the extraordinary nature of the master here.
The master here possessed the bloodlines of Elf and Titan.
At this moment, they stood at the viewing platform of the palace’s highest point.
Talia slightly raised her chin, her emerald eyes sparkling with pride, her voice flowing like a clear spring, with a subtle hint of boastfulness.
"Look, here lies ’Bonsai Terrace,’ my city. And here," she gently raised her hand to indicate the palace beneath as well as the boundless river valley panorama before them, "is where my palace resides."
Chronos’s hearty laughter echoed across the platform, he nodded vigorously, his rugged face bearing sincere admiration.
