Chapter 1401: Chapter 914: Another Evil God_2
Someone like Kana, who had just ascended to divinity not long ago and is still such a fledgling god, inexplicably brings their scroll to assault the Abyss.
It’s nothing but hatred and anger.
The Abyss has too many of such existences; the mere presence of the Abyss invites countless worlds, countless races.
But what does that matter?
This is the foundation of the Abyss, its role within the entire Star Realm.
For millions of years, they have always been this way.
There have been losses and gains, moments of ruin and prosperity, but they still persist.
What can a god like Kana really do?
Merely a child venting its fury.
Faced with the insults, threats, and mockery from the Evil God, Kana remained silent, his expression calm and unshaken, as if the repulsive words were merely a foul wind passing by his ear.
Until the Evil God seemed to feel that his intimidation was sufficient, the sharp laughter gradually ceased, with condescension appearing in his compound eyes, Kana finally felt the desire to speak.
Just when the Evil God thought the other was subdued by his might, Kana’s dormant core of divine power suddenly erupted.
No longer the restrained glimmer of weak divine power.
A vast, resilient, world-origin-filled divine power rose thunderously.
This power created a wondrous harmony with the surrounding space—the area of the Blood Pit Fortress, a special plane overlap point built with a fragment of world from the Holy Stone Plane as the core.
Here, Kana, as the world will spokesperson of the Holy Stone Plane, also its Savior and creator of the new rule of "Datafication," could momentarily harness part of the source power from the whole plane.
In the original world, remember, Kana could use the world’s power to achieve a level of medium divine power.
And here, he could elevate by one level.
His divine might surged instantly, like a giant beast awakening, steadily reaching parity with the Abyss Evil God before him—weak divine power peak.
"Wha...?!"
The twisted eyes of the Evil God suddenly opened to their utmost, the expression on the goat-head froze instantly, the sharp laughter stopped abruptly, replaced by an incredulous shock.
The restless limbs on its body also froze in mid-air.
Its chaotic perception swept wildly around, finally detecting the abnormality of this space—the special rule structure closely linked with the world origin.
It had come blindly threatening, without comprehending the depth of this place.
This clearly indicated the other had not a bit of space-related rules.
Against such a fool, Kana had no fear because even if the other’s level surpassed his by one, Kana could envelope him in another layer of space with rules of space.
Even if his power was no match, it couldn’t do anything to the Blood Pit Fortress.
Not to mention that here Kana’s power could reach weak divine power level, the opponent was no match for Kana.
All Abyss Evil Gods possess a certain god-like quality power.
Such as exterminators, destroyers, etc.
While a Savior is the natural nemesis.
"Hmph."
Kana let out a cold, mocking laugh, not loud, yet clearly piercing through the chaotic divine power fluctuations of the Evil God.
He looked into its doubtful eyes and goat head, his gaze carrying unabashed scorn.
"Dared to rant without perceiving even the essence of this space? Truly foolish."
He stepped forward, his presence undiminished.
The suppression of weak divine power countered sharply back, his tone indifferent yet carrying undeniable strength.
"Normally, I wouldn’t deign to deal with someone of your sort. Those fools beaten back, even severely wounded by me before, are just like you, pitiful creatures compelled to spring out by the will of the Abyss.
"If you don’t wish to be harmed here, don’t want your pathetic divine origin damaged, so other ’companions’ of the Abyss don’t covet and devour..."
Kana’s gaze swept over the twisted body of the Evil God, hinting intentionally.
"Then obediently return to your lair, stay on the ’other side,’ don’t move."
The twisted face of the Abyss Evil God was a tapestry of horror and anger, its compound eyes flashing resentment, the teeth on its goat head grinding audibly.
However, the firm suppression of weak divine power from Kana and his revelation of the "internal strife" within the Abyss as harsh reality, was like ice-water dousing its immediate urge to act.
More importantly, its purpose—probing and warning—had been fulfilled to some extent.
"...Very well!"
The voice of the Evil God was hoarse and twisted, full of unwillingness and venom, but its divine might began to retract.
"Remember your words, little brat! Also remember the warning of the Abyss! Do not, trespass!"
It shot Kana a final sharp glare, the twisted body vanished in a ripple of space, leaving only a faint stench of sulfur and decay.
Its departure was not a complete failure.
Kana’s strong response and the unique nature of this place made it understand the cost of forcibly destroying the Blood Pit Fortress far exceeded estimation.
The information it brought back was enough to temporarily earn the Abyss’ recognition of the Blood Pit Fortress’ existence "within the rules"—as long as it no longer expands.
This is in itself a kind of twisted "recognition."
Though embarrassing, it doesn’t matter, the goal was achieved.
The Evil God’s original intent was to avoid exertion.
And now Kana had explicitly stated this, the divine-level powers from both sides would not intervene.
Let the demons attack instead, this is what the other wanted.
So although tensions were high, an understanding was reached.
It’s not that they don’t want to fight, it’s that Kana’s divine power reached weak divine power, with equal power, there’s no certain victory, there’s nothing to be done.
Isn’t it?
Just as the Abyss Evil God disappeared, space beside Kana rippled again, a stable Teleportation Gate opening.
From it emerged swiftly the Night Watcher in charge of Blood Pit Fortress, Raelia.
She was swift, carrying a longbow, her leather armor reeking of gunpowder.
Once out, her sharp gaze swept across, finally landing on Kana, a look of surprise and joy on her heroic face.
"Kana?! I was just wondering who caused such a powerful energy fluctuation here... Turns out you’ve returned."
She immediately furrowed her brow, her expression wary, "Wait... I faintly sensed a deeply evil, nauseating aura just now, like a divine-level power, what is that thing? Did you drive it away?"
Kana looked at Raelia, genuine surprise flitting in his eyes.
He examined this legendary centaur who had been in the Abyss for a long time.
Clearly feeling the power flowing through her stronger than at their last farewell.
The aura was more concentrated, nearly touching the threshold of the Legendary Peak.
Raelia had reached Level Fourteen.
She had become the foremost beneath Kana.
Of course, the foremost here refers to those who have gradually risen from within the Night Watcher as core members.
Previously it was Alyris.
But Raelia, after all, had been on the front line in the Abyss all along, where legendary level combat was not lacking.
Such a boost in strength is understandable.
"Raelia," Kana’s tone carried a trace of approval, "your growth in strength is faster than I imagined. You can already vaguely sense the fluctuations of divine-level power?"
Hearing Kana’s affirmation, Raelia’s face bloomed with a proud smile, shaking her brown ponytail.
"Haha, it’s something forced out of me! Been in this wretched place long enough, dealing daily with those demon brats, if I don’t struggle to get stronger, how’s that gonna work?
"Besides..." she flashed a hint of lingering fear coupled with excitement in her eyes,"last time you fought against that Abyssal Lord, the world was falling apart, and though I was far off, the apocalyptic sight and divine power ripple were truly etched in my bones.
"Plus the fact those two powers just now didn’t bother to conceal, I could barely sense a fringe. If facing it truly, these skills of mine wouldn’t even fill a gap between teeth."
Although she spoke lightly, the resolve in her eyes showed she was chasing that unreachable goal fiercely.
"You’ve been away for quite a while this time; have you wrapped things up?"
"Wrapped up, now things will get busy, get ready."
"Seems like something big is up, awaiting expectantly then."
