Chapter 1528: Chapter 968: Advancing Triumphantly
The alliance between Blood Pit Fortress and Blood War Fortress.
Although they had never coordinated before, in this war, the two sides were in perfect harmony.
The alliance army of Blood War Fortress was forged in blood and fire, their elite forces and understanding of fighting demons were beyond doubt.
The Night Watchers of Blood Pit Fortress, needless to say, had tight communication with each other using the Night Watchers as nodes. The connection between them was exceptionally close, and their coordination could be described as perfect.
And those Avengers, as well as the adventurers and mercenaries who joined temporarily, had all survived in the Abyss.
With this first cooperation, both sides achieved spectacular results.
The trumpet of victory sounded after destroying the fifth outpost, but it was by no means the end.
Rather, it was the beginning of a more brutal combat.
The sixth and seventh outposts were the festering sores on this land, even though this land was part of the Abyss itself.
But if you look upward, who knows if it was a world that was once destroyed?
These outposts naturally became the next targets of Order’s spearhead.
In the torrent surging towards the sixth outpost, a mixed squad composed of Night Watcher Shield Guard "Stone Wall" Carl, human ranger Leia, dwarf berserker Glenn, and wood elf avenger Airen was caught in a bloody massacre.
"Left flank! Horned Demon Commander!"
Leia’s voice rang sharply in the data chain, as an armor-piercing arrow entwined with wind element flew from her bow, aimed precisely at the eye socket of a giant horned demon trying to crash down a makeshift shelter from the flank.
Thud!
The arrow pierced flesh, bringing up a spray of purplish-black blood.
The horned demon commander let out a howl of pain, its charge slowed slightly.
"Glenn! Push forward!"
Carl roared, thrusting the massive tower shield forward to clear a path for the dwarf to charge.
"Get out of my way!"
Glenn’s eyes were bloodshot, his body rippling with corded muscles, as the newly exchanged rune warhammer "Rock Breaker" came down with a terrifying whistle, smashing into the side of the horned demon commander’s thick knee.
A loud crack echoed, and the massive demon fell to its knees with a crash.
"The Night Watcher’s weapon sure is handy, genuine dwarf craftsmanship."
"Finish it!"
Airen’s figure flashed out from behind Carl’s shield like a ghost, the poisoned elf scimitar in his hand traced a cold arc, precisely slicing into the horned demon’s thick neck joint.
Purple-black blood gushed out, splattering over him, the cold eyes of vengeance in the foul blood appeared even sharper.
Yet before the joy of victory could rise, an anomaly suddenly occurred.
Boom!!!
It did not come from the enemy ahead, but from the distant battlefield of the gods.
Carlos and Magrum collided once more with earth-shattering force, their violent shockwave swept over like an invisible tide of rage.
The ground shook violently, as if a giant beast was turning over.
Carl, maintaining a defensive stance, felt an irresistible force slam into his shield, lifting both him and the heavy tower shield into the air, tumbling backward into a pile of demon corpses, with a dull thud.
Leia gasped, barely catching onto a broken spear embedded in the ground to keep from being blown away, but the rough spear shaft gouged a deep wound down to the bone in her arm, turning her face ashen with pain.
Glenn staggered a few steps before steadying himself, swearing loudly:
"Damn stone god and demonic shit! Don’t they ever pick a better place to fight?"
Usually, he could politely call them venerable ones.
But at times like this, all he could do was curse to vent his anger.
But what can be done? It was a conflict among gods, and despite the distance, being affected was inevitable.
And this wasn’t the first time.
Airen, like a light leaf, rolled to dissipate the force on the shaking ground, immediately dashing towards the thrown Carl.
"Carl! Can you move?"
"Cough... I’m not dead yet!"
Carl struggled to climb out of the filth, helmet askew, mouth bleeding, left arm hanging unnaturally, obviously dislocated or even fractured from the impact.
But he firmly grasped the edge of the shield with his still-functioning right hand.
"Cover me! Leia, stop the bleeding! Glenn, those Flodemons ahead are charging!"
Thankfully, they had the Night Watcher’s potion.
Goddamn, long live the Night Watcher!
The entire battlefield trembled under the intermittent ravages of these divine aftershocks.
The scarlet land cracked and rose like an enraged giant beast, lava spewed from the fissures, mercilessly engulfing the soldiers of both sides.
One moment they were fiercely fighting, the next they might be impaled by suddenly rising spikes of earth, or buried under collapsing scorched land.
The healing radiance from the Sky Dragon struggled to maintain Order Faction’s line, while casualty numbers relentlessly climbed on the data panel.
As a Star Realm Giant Dragon, already at level fifteen as a Legendary Powerhouse when accepting the Night Watcher’s power.
When she held the data panel, she had completely adapted it as her assistant.
I must say, it was quite handy.
Like now, she could easily classify battlefield data with ease.
Though she could sweep the entire war city with widespread healing.
But this precise healing method was more suitable.
However, Order’s torrent did not stagnate.
From higher up, the alliance’s offensive resembled a precise war machine operating with difficulty yet steadfastly amid the blood and fire.
The silver-gray phalanx of the Night Watchers interlocked with the steel torrent of Blood War Fortress, the cold efficiency of the data chain perfectly merging with the experienced bravery of the blood war veterans.
