The Game of Global Mining
Chapter 1002 - 831: Searching for Fujalo’s Office
Chapter 1002: Chapter 831: Searching for Fujalo’s Office
A new day already...
Another 1.4 million coming in, but holy shit! No matter what I’ve got to go back to town today. You can only exchange 50,000 Mining Coins a day—skip one day and that’s 50,000 gone...
My Saturn Luck only has half a day left too. No matter what, the moment that Luck ends I’m rushing back to town.
Looking at my Misfortune accumulation, there’s only 1 day’s worth left. Yesterday’s battle with Fujalo pretty much wiped out the prison time I’d painstakingly saved up.
And the moment he thought of Fujalo, Chun suddenly remembered something: "Goddess, last night Fujalo came from this War Angel Ruins City, right?"
Liya said, "Seems so, he gathered up 18 Spirit-type Sand Demons. Judging from the current situation of the fighting in the ruins, it looks like there aren’t any Spirit-type Sand Demons showing up at all. Either Fujalo took every last one, or they only spawn at night—"
Chun said, "What I mean is, Fujalo should be the stationed guard of these ruins, yeah? Otherwise how could he mobilize 18 Sand Demons?"
Liya snapped back to it: "Oh, right?"
Chun got even more fired up: "So does Fujalo have some kind of office here? There’s gotta be some loot inside, right?"
Liya said, "Ask that Nightmare Dragon of yours that swallowed Fujalo’s Divine Format!"
Aileen laughed: "From last night till now it hasn’t even been half a day, hard to say how effective Mina’s suppression is—"
Even so, Aileen still called out: "Mina, can you talk with Fujalo?"
Mina let out a muffled groan.
Alright then, looks like the internal struggle is still pretty intense.
Liya, however, had an idea: "No worries, we can search. Fujalo is a Wind Element Demon God, his office should be somewhere in the Elemental Realm where wind energy is thick. And our Bat happens to be an Elemental Creature, plus a flying creature, naturally attuned to Wind Element. Let the Bat go search the Wind Elemental Realm. Since it’s his office, for his own convenience going in and out, the barrier between Wind Element and the real world shouldn’t be that thick. High chance it’s at some spot where the space got warped by the battle, maybe the Bat is already near that location!"
Chun, excited, immediately gave the order: "Bat, go search the Wind Elemental Plane..."
"Master, copy that!"
This is what an entry-level Divine Treasure Hunting Pet is like—way too capable!
Just then, Chun’s phone rang. It was Zhou Qing: "Brother Chun, busy? Late-night barbecue is all set."
Chun was in a great mood: "Busy till I’m starving!"
Zhou Qing laughed: "Also kinda a celebration, Moore just edged out that King Arthur and climbed to rank 12!"
Chun laughed: "Moore’s got a Dragon God Hall opportunity plus an Evil God opportunity, that’s a given."
Zhou Qing added, "By the way, the Silver City Flower has come to the Black Iron Astrology Shop too. Now there are four City Beauties and five Astrology Old Ladies all gathered in the shop. Are they looking for the missing Bronze City Flower?"
Ah, that line of thought really does follow the logic! No idea whether Tifa has snuck into the Dragon Sleep Divine Hall yet. If she had and gotten recognized, Zhou Qing definitely wouldn’t be asking this.
"Could be. Keep watching."
Zhou Qing laughed: "And outside, the crowd of streamer players watching has packed in like a sea of people..."
...
In the Ten Lords Chat Group, they were live-streaming the current situation inside the Black Iron City Astrology Shop.
The tiny Astrology Shop looked especially crowded today, and the energy aura was surging like crazy. Five Astrology Old Ladies plus the Mermaid were all gathered around one table. Spread on the table was a map of the area around Gem City that Raphael had brought, and on the map were piled all kinds of little tools—tarot cards, pencil-fairy sets, turtle shells, glass balls, compasses, marble boxes—every sort of random gadget showing off its "abilities."
Shariel Raphael leaned close to the table, recording video. Fafnir, Eve, Liya, and Remia stood farther out, watching in solemn confusion. Their job was to provide the aura of powerful beings and boost the so‑called wish power at the scene—of course, that’s how the old ladies put it, the game doesn’t actually have any related mystical Attributes.
The Astrology Old Lady from Silver City seemed to show up with a chip on her shoulder. The other day, when the Mermaid invited the Black Iron Lady and Empire Master Hubble to her aquarium, she hadn’t invited the old lady from her own city, leaving the woman feeling deeply embarrassed.
That was also Sariel’s fault. Before this, Sariel had never taken Astrology seriously; in the group they’d always joked it was just a scam, and she herself didn’t even know where the Astrology Shop in her own city was.
So right now, the Silver Old Lady was working the hardest. Her head of silver hair was practically flaring up with power, and in her hand, dangling on a thin thread, was some shabby little "Luck" pocket watch whose pointer was spinning at high speed, the thread trembling wildly in all sorts of chaotic vibrations under her exertion.
Sariel dug a bit into her background and found she was actually a retired Priest. That exertion might be her priestly prayer power and probably has nothing to do with Astrology. But her particular "unreliable broken watch" style of Astrology was kind of unique; noon and midnight were when her inspiration peaked.
So with noon approaching, the whole room was waiting for her performance.
o’clock, on the dot!
The Silver Old Lady let out a sharp scream, and the trembling thread suddenly snapped. The pocket watch fell onto a certain spot on the map, and at the same time, the battered watch’s pointer stopped dead from the impact.
The room fell silent, waiting for the old lady’s explanation. But the Silver Old Lady seemed completely drained, panting for ages without being able to speak.
Sariel ran out of patience: "Well?"
The Silver Old Lady stammered, "I can confirm—the target is currently resting."
Sariel was so mad she could barely breathe. That’s just nonsense! The target swept through twenty villages in one morning, fighting the local strongmen in each. The consumption has to be massive; now it’s been over two hours with no activity, of course they’re resting.
But the Mermaid suddenly had this look of enlightenment: "I think I kinda get it. Let me try your watch?"
The Silver Old Lady froze for a moment, then could only gasp out, "Then please, Lord of the Divine Throne... press the watch’s switch first."
The Mermaid picked up the watch and pressed the switch. The pointer started spinning again. Then she lightly tapped it against the table, and the pointer clicked to a stop.
Then the Mermaid kept tapping it over and over, playing with it like she was having the time of her life.
The Silver Old Lady caught her breath and started to feel distressed: "Lord of the Divine Throne, tap more gently!"
The Mermaid asked, "What’s that thing turning in the back?"
"That’s the mainspring..."
"Can I wind it tighter?"
"Don’t wind it too tight..."
Everyone present, as well as the whole chat group, were completely baffled, but the Mermaid was Sariel’s little darling, so their patience with her was endless.
After a few more taps, the Mermaid suddenly got serious, then turned to ask the visibly impatient Raphael: "Gem Sage! If I go to Gem City, will the Gem Guardian God report me for overstepping my authority?"
Raphael was startled: "Lord of the Divine Throne has already made her prediction? You’re going there in person?"
The Mermaid said, "First time, I have to verify it personally."
As she spoke, she opened the pocket watch. The pointer was sitting at the 12:30 position.
The Silver Old Lady exclaimed, "Lord of the Divine Throne means...the target will appear at 12:30?"
The Mermaid smiled: "Can’t be sure. But once it’s verified, my Astrology will definitely break through."
Raphael said, "Then I’ll head straight to the Gem City Church and have the Church send an invitation letter to Lord of the Divine Throne. As long as you have an invitation, it doesn’t count as overstepping."
Eve said, "Then I’ll go back and talk to them too."
Fafnir laughed: "Since everyone’s gathered for once, let’s all go?"
The City Beauties laughed: "Let’s go!"
