The Game of Global Mining
Chapter 944 - 781: Returning to the Camp for a Dream
Chapter 944: Chapter 781: Returning to the Camp for a Dream
Liya set out with her seven little followers.
Chun was stunned: "This many people?"
Liya laughed: "As a Guardian God, of course it needs to be impressive. Besides, after they absorbed the Daydream’s Angel Energy, they look a lot like angels."
Indeed, you couldn’t see any Enchanting Demon features on them, and they have reached Middle Tier in strength.
The group arrived at the Barrier of the camp. Liya turned around and seemed a bit troubled: "It’s up to you!"
Chun was truly puzzled: "Up to me?"
Liya said: "Yes, I could also break it, but since leveling up, my energy is a bit strong and might trigger an alarm. That would ruin the mystery of the Dream."
Uh... you’re right! This is the goddess’ high praise of my Divine Artisan Level Spatial Technique.
Chun actually noticed the weak point of the Barrier as well, and he slowly penetrated it with his fingertip, as if carefully passing through a layer of soap bubble.
If an alarm flash of red light appeared, Chun would immediately withdraw his hand. All in all, it took him a full ten minutes to slowly tear open a hole the size of a fingertip.
Liya said: "Alright, let’s go in first!"
After saying this, she transformed into a stream of light and seeped in along Chun’s finger. You’ve got to admit, this is the advantage of being in a soul state, as you can change forms at will.
After Liya and her group passed through, she held Chun’s finger and beckoned: "Come!"
Then Chun also transformed into a stream of light and entered.
Once inside the camp, they began to search for people who were asleep.
But clearly, it was only 10 PM and seemed a bit early. All the NPC stalls were staffed, and everyone had their weapons on hand, looking very much on guard.
Chun said: "Let’s go to the tavern and see if there are any drunks."
Liya: "Alright!"
Inside the tavern, the scene was astonishing: luxurious glass chandeliers, extravagant carpets, exquisitely shiny wooden table bars, the bar adorned with neatly displayed high-end bottles, and desert Aladdin-style sheer belly dancers, with a crowd of drinkers happily indulging.
Chun was totally taken aback. The house outside was sun-scorched, wind-eroded, pit-laden, and shabby while inside, it was a different world!
Obviously, the place was so remote and miserable, entertainment and dance must have been provided to satisfy the staff.
But there were many drinking, yet not a single had passed out drunk. This is quite troublesome! Do we have to wait another hour?
Just then, Chun heard some drinkers discussing: "It’s only halfway through the night, but Sand Demons number 1, 2, 3, and 4 have all disappeared. That guy is quite skilled!"
Oh, I love hearing people say good things about me behind my back!
Another snorted: "It’s not that simple. The real ace is the Palace Maid Chief!"
Another one said: "The Palace Maid Chief coming to this poor place; is she really just here to catch criminals? Or has the Emperor noticed us?"
All scoffed: "The Emperor’s focus is entirely on the Golden Continent, where there are endless mines. Would he even consider us here?"
"You never know! The Empire is a web of debts with everyone superficially flashing wealth, but when it comes to money, few can shell out! Look at the four bitches that came; three belong to indebted, fallen families, and even the Hathaway Race probably isn’t doing well, or they wouldn’t be waving their family banners to invest?"
"Hmph! What investment? If they truly join in, their family would borrow a ton of money from the bank to take control and squeeze us out!"
"Then what do we do?"
"No idea, let’s see what the boss thinks."
Chun was truly shocked. So this is what NPCs think? Although my goal is simple, things are far from as simple as I imagined!
Another let out a sinister laugh: "Isn’t the boss tired of those two bitches every night? Why not change it up and let the brothers have some fun."
Chun was suddenly alert!
Someone asked in surprise: "Change up for what?"
"Didn’t four just come in? And they’re noble ladies!"
"You drink too much and still so conservative? Be bold, five of them!"
"Wishful thinking, those are Palace Maids!"
"What’s wrong with Palace Maids? I want a taste, see what’s different about the Emperor’s women!"
The crowd erupted in mischievous laughter!
Even though it’s drunken talk, Chun couldn’t help but feel murderously intent! Even though he doesn’t think much of those four, just being around them triggers possessive instincts, not to mention the Head Maid!
Liya said: "Looks like their boss should be upstairs, let’s go meet him."
Meet him? Won’t that sully your noble goddess’ eyes?
Chun felt uncomfortable all over: "These people have such a bandit vibe, working with them is very risky."
Liya laughed: "Didn’t you encounter this when you first came to Red Sand City? Just be more of a bandit than they are and you’ll be fine."
Ah, that makes sense!
Perhaps this is why I’m the global number one, Empire’s notorious criminal? I forgot that in others’ eyes, I’m just like them, perhaps even worse! I just don’t know if leaving this scene to Sela, can she control it?
Chun went up to the second floor and indeed heard the sound of humming and sweet chatter coming from a room.
Holy Shit, thinking about the goddess having to send a Dream to this thing makes Chun feel... forget it, considering my own dealings with the FBI aren’t few either.
Outside the door, Chun suddenly noticed a faint pink smoke drifting out from the door crack!
Chun was startled, Enchanting Demon!?
Liya gestured for silence and was ready to act.
Chun was speechless! Initially thought of using a Dream to stimulate a minor rebellion, now it seems too complicated; it might be better to wipe them all out—if it triggers a plot kill.
They waited for over ten minutes and still didn’t end, Chun was extremely impatient. But considering the Ten Lords’ wrath, he held back.
Finally, Liya whispered: "I’ve met an acquaintance, we can start!"
Chun asked: "Andariel?"
Liya laughed: "Yes! Should be possessing a mortal woman."
Holy Shit!
Chun asked in surprise: "This Andariel is spread so widely, probably the Emperor’s Demon Servant, right? Won’t taking them out expose us?"
Liya laughed: "Let’s defeat them first and talk later!"
Chun asked in surprise: "Not waiting for them to fall asleep?"
Liya laughed: "No need, right now they’re at their happiest, most relaxed moment, seven against one, you and I against another."
Alright then, although Chun was overly cautious and doesn’t quite understand her bold style, she does know the Emperor.
Liya waved her hand, and the door crack instantly expanded into a Spatial Gate, and the group directly entered.
They saw a burly man lying on a bed, alongside two extremely voluptuous Dancers riding in ecstasy, cries ringing out.
Liya waved her hand again, and the group transformed into nine streams of light rushing at the two Dancers whose minds were blurred by tumultuous thoughts.
Upon entry, Chun’s scene changed again!
He indeed saw a woman enveloped in pink mist twisting unabashedly, entirely unaware of Chun and Liya’s intrusion.
Liya didn’t give her any chance, a flash of golden light, and she flattened her instantly!
