Chapter 985: Chapter 818: Return from the Void Arena

Chun was genuinely dumbfounded; they actually managed to pull off a festival celebration! Right now it was only the last day of open beta that had a full-server festivity with a Luck buff. Then after Sariel caught the Mermaid, she also held a festival celebration in Silver City.

Thinking back, on launch day when I was on the boat with Sherry drifting toward Spice Island, we’d also talked about this whole "festival celebration to create gods" thing. Sherry had mentioned a few steps: first you had to get a title, then you could become a village chief, then you needed land and people, and only after that could you have booze and fireworks and finally afford to host a festival celebration.

Chun confirmed, "Yatnass, does this festival celebration require being a village chief and having booze and fireworks?"

Yatnass: "No need. As long as the energy is sufficient, it can be triggered at any time."

So, the booze and fireworks were just side-consumption items? But booze and fireworks themselves probably came with holiday buffs, right?

Yatnass added, "I’ve now finished updating the new data for the future robots. I can leave a copied backup version in the robot database, so you won’t need to open the arena to contact me in the future. Shall I copy it?"

Of course it had to be copied! But better ask Tifa first.

Chun asked, "Tifa, do we need to leave a copy system on the machine?"

Tifa laughed, "Of course. We all need to research the Creation Law."

"Then copy it!"

Gauss was insanely excited: "Cracking the Creation Law behind the festival celebration has given me huge confidence. I believe cracking the Teleportation Law won’t be a problem either. Maybe we should adjust our plan a bit—no need to rush out. Let’s fully understand the entire Law system first?"

Tifa smiled, "We’ll all listen to the teacher. We’ve got a year’s worth of water and food anyway. And I’m a robot, I don’t need to eat or drink."

Chun almost didn’t dare imagine it: "You mean, once we crack everything later, we can also trigger festivals whenever we want, or fire off siege teleportations and stuff?"

By the definition of traditional games, this was basically being the operator, right? You could spin up game events whenever you felt like it.

Gauss said, "Exactly. As far as I’m concerned, I only handle the research and don’t worry about the consequences."

Tifa said, "This is power that even the Emperor might not have. Once we grasp it—anyway, before that, let’s set the stage properly."

Chun gave a wry smile, "So that means we’ve gotta be able to tank a beating from the Emperor?"

Tifa sighed, "That’s not realistic either, but we can find a place to do everything on the down-low."

Exactly, I love doing things on the down-low; I’m already addicted to it!

Speaking of which, Tifa smiled again, "My main body has already reached the coordinates of that Dragon Sleep Divine Hall you mentioned."

Chun was shocked, "That fast? Did anyone spot you nearby?"

Tifa laughed, "Even though my Magic level isn’t that great among the City Beauty, I’m still a City Beauty. I turned on Invisibility and teleported all the way there—no one can find me. Besides, to draw others’ attention away, I blew up the motorcycle in the hideout and set off a huge firework. I also did a bit of disguise work."

Chun quickly asked, "Can you find the entrance?"

Tifa said solemnly, "I can already sense it. It’s not just some ordinary spatial rift; it really is the Creation Law! If it were before, I wouldn’t have sensed anything, but after these past days of Law research plus today’s breakthrough, I’ll search slowly while staying Invisible."

Tifa said happily, "I feel different all over again. You should head back too; keeping the arena running burns a lot of energy. If something comes up, use the Creation System to contact me. I’ve got a lot of energy here, I’ll reach out to you one-way from time to time."

Chun was very cautious, "Don’t. Only contact me if it’s something big, otherwise the communication might get noticed."

Tifa said, "Alright, then you go back first."

Huh, I keep feeling like this Tifa’s engineering soul isn’t wild enough? In that sense she overlaps with Eve’s straight-A-student Attributes.

Chun then picked up the handset and called out to the outside of the cabin, "Ms. Celia, Ugly Emperor, I’ll head back first."

Celia: "Now that you have the Creation Law, you must be extra careful."

The Ugly Emperor also laughed, "Don’t worry, I’ll be making progress here too. I’m grinding mining to break through to Divine Craftsman Level!"

Holy Shit, right, this was a great place to train mining!

"Yatnass, end the arena."

—Yatnass 1.99Plus+ version prompt: Void Arena ended, exiting match scene.

The scene went dark, and Chun started flying and drifting through the Void again.

Chun immediately switched back to the Main World; outside the house was still the sound of that Giant Monster gnawing on corpses.

Chun felt an indescribable satisfaction. Being able to quietly pull off a Creation-level feat right under the most dangerous nose, and having the player get promoted to operator in one shot—this status was now second only to the devs, right?

Then, he quickly texted Zhou Qing; Tifa didn’t need Moore’s help to get in anymore, and ideally no one should see her.

"President Zhou, Metatron planted a lot of mining bombs near the Divine Tomb. Have Moore hurry back underground to notify the Evil God again."

Zhou Qing was startled, "Alright, right away. Also, Moore is a squirrel and might have some bomb-disarming ability. Should we defuse the bombs?"

Chun was really surprised this time, "Moore’s that awesome? Let’s inform the Evil God first and see what it thinks."

"Got it."

After hanging up, Chun finally officially logged out of the Void Arena.

Then Chun checked himself to see if he had any festival Luck—nope.

So it only worked in the arena, huh.

He checked the Divine Domain; there wasn’t much change either, except the lightning was getting less and less bright. Gotta say, opening the arena really was a drain; earlier it had still been plasma.
