Chapter 370: Happy

Auric saw the accumulated energy on his head. This accumulated energy behaved in a manner he had never seen before.

All of a sudden, the accumulated energy broke apart and flooded his head with so much energy that it was no wonder Timothy claimed he couldn’t breathe.

The accumulated energy was condensed, which made it look small on the surface, but it overwhelmed everything after it broke apart.

However, there was one thing he noticed. The energy remained on his head. It might be because his neck was acting like a channel, but the energy in his head couldn’t flow down his body. Instead, it was being overwhelmed by the energy coming from his heart.

This was something he had never seen before.

Still, the first thing he did was create a wall to block the energy from entering or leaving his head. He used the same technique that allowed him to block the flow of energy coming from the ground when he was in the ruins.

Katarina was struggling to restrain him, but it looked like the treatment was effective.

Timothy gradually moved less, not because he started losing his consciousness, but because he could breathe.

Auric smiled and continued treating him.

Gradually, Timothy regained his breath. This was the first time he managed to stay awake after having an episode. More importantly, he stayed awake not because he could endure the pain, but because the symptom had stopped.

His head became clearer to the point where he wondered if this was actually just a dream.

"Haa... Ha..." Timothy breathed heavily, but his expression was filled with shock.

Timothy looked at Auric and grabbed his arms in disbelief, shaking him. "It worked. It worked! It workedddddd!"

Timothy was jumping like a child. The pure smile on his face reflected his sincere happiness.

Auric nodded with a serious expression. "Well, it indeed works."

Timothy started to move around to check whether he was really fine. "This feels refreshing. It’s been so long since I last had such a clear head at night."

Despite his big smile, tears began to flow from his eyes.

"Ah... This..." Timothy wiped his tears, but they refused to stop flowing. "I’m sorry. This is weird. I really can’t stop my tears."

All this time, he had been suffering from a condition no one could understand. He was afraid of ruining everything, but at the same time, he realized he had ruined a lot of things.

He wanted to make things right all this time, but he never had the opportunity. There was always a thought that haunted him every night.

Katarina was just smiling on the side. It looked like her job was done. She was glad that everything worked out just fine.

It took Timothy a few minutes to finally calm down.

Katarina had brought him a water bottle.

"Thanks." Timothy received it with a smile.

"Have you calmed down?" Auric asked.

"Yeah. Sorry for showing such a thing."

"It’s okay. I want to talk a bit more about your condition. Is that all right?"

"Of course." Timothy agreed without hesitation. Auric was the first person who could treat his condition, so he would gladly say anything about his condition.

Auric explained, "All right. From my observation, you had accumulated energy in your head. That accumulated energy condensed and became denser. Eventually, it broke apart and started flooding into your head. That was how you drowned.

"If I had to describe it, it looked like the sea. When night fell, the sea would rise. When the sun rose, the sea level would go down."

"I see." Timothy closed his eyes. "So, that accumulated energy..."

"I have removed it."

Timothy took a deep breath, feeling relieved.

"Yeah. Let’s go back." Auric waved his hand.

Instead, he called his father.

Timothy’s father was already asleep in his bedroom when the ringing of his phone awakened him.

"Ngghhh..." He let out a small groan and searched for the phone on the bedside table. He picked it up and answered the call while his eyes were still closed. With a sleepy voice, he asked, "Do you know what time it is?"

"I’m sorry for waking you up, Dad. It’s just... I want to call you because of an important matter."

"Important matter? What important matter?"

"Mhmm... Honey? What are you doing?" His wife couldn’t help but wake up as well.

"It’s nothing. Timothy is calling me about something. I will take care of it, so you can go back to sleep."

"Y-Yeah... No, wait. Timothy?" His wife noticed something was wrong. The drowsiness immediately vanished.

"!!!" His father’s eyes widened as he realized what was happening. "Wait, what? Timothy? Son?! You’re calling me right now, Son? Are you really my son?"

His father couldn’t believe it. This was the first time in a year and a half that he could hear his son’s voice this late.

His father got up, while his mother rushed toward the phone, trying to listen as well.

"Wait. You okay?"

"I’m glad that I joined this training program. I have encountered a person who is able to treat my symptoms." Timothy chuckled, listening to their shocked voices.

"What? Really? What is going on?"

"Well, do you mind if we talk a bit?"

"Of course. The night is still young."

Timothy took a deep breath. "You should already know about the ace of Esfrata, right?"

"Auric Elfe? That’s right. He helped you?"

Timothy paused for a moment before explaining the entire situation from the beginning. "The situation in the training program doesn’t seem to be good. So, he approached me and helped me relieve my symptoms. Apparently, I should be able to maintain this for a few months.
