Chapter 445 Crushing Victory

  • Next Chapter

Auric and Ming Tian stood in the arena. Other students were confused because this was the first time they had seen Auric.

Some people recognized him right away.

"Aahh! Isn’t that Auric Elfe?"

"Why is he here? Why is he fighting the vice president of the Heaven and Earth Club?"

"What is actually going on?"

"The Heaven and Earth Club’s vice president is a Rank 4 human. Are they really going to fight?"

"Still, Auric Elfe is as handsome as ever."

"The new rising star."

They couldn’t take their eyes away from the arena. Some of them even started taking out their phones to record the battle.

Song Xue gulped nervously, thinking, ’He is a Rank 4 human, so he should have the ability to win, but he shouldn’t win. However, I don’t think Auric Elfe is weak. He should have a fighting chance against him. The longer this battle lasts, the more information I can find out regarding his power."

Auric saw a wave of energy coming out of the floor. Pillars emerged, separating the two.

In Auric’s eyes, the pillars were made in the same way as the gravity room. There was another mechanism that poured out energy, but instead of the gravity element, it was the earth element.

The principle itself wasn’t hard, but making the arena complicated surely helped with battle simulation.

Lindwurm asked, "Are you sure about this?"

’Yes. I’ve calculated everything. Whether this calculation is wrong or right, I’m going to see this through. It might help me in the long run.’

"If you’ve made your decision, then there’s nothing else I can say. Good luck."

’Thanks.’ Auric intended to fight Ming Tian by himself. More importantly, he planned to crush Ming Tian. Fighting a Rank 4 human when he was only a Rank 3 would be extremely hard, so crushing him would be difficult.

However, there was one thing Auric could take advantage of. If he used something that no one in this world had ever seen before, it would create a gap to exploit.

And there was indeed one thing that he wanted to test.

Auric and Ming Tian saw the countdown projected in the air.

Both of them released their energy. Ming Tian showed his light green energy, symbolizing his wind element.

Meanwhile, Auric showed the world his gray energy. Yes, he actually used his unique element.

"!!!" Katarina, Ellia, and Maya stood up as soon as they saw that energy.

Stella was confused since she started following Auric not too long ago.

"Oh, boy. You’re screwed." Katarina chuckled.

Song Xue was startled. "What? Me?"

Song Xue was originally happy that Auric showed his unique element because Auric barely used it. It would be a great opportunity to figure out Auric’s true element.

Ellia simply shook her head. "The fact that he’s showing his unique element means he’s pissed."

"W-Wha—" Song Xue was taken aback.

"Do you need us to spell it for you? You must be thinking about gathering information about him, but he has told you about his principle. He considers your failure to stop that idiot too."

"That’s going to be interesting." Mathias crossed his arms. "Even I have never seen his ability. I guess I have to thank that idiot and your country for pissing him off."

Stella tilted her head in confusion. "Well, what do you mean by pissed?"

Maya chuckled. "Back then, I recruited Auric to Grand Magica College after his high school threw him away for his best friend. When he achieved all that glory, he didn’t allow the school to even mention his name. Now, I wonder what he will think of you."

Song Xue’s face turned pale, finally understanding what would happen next whether Auric won or lost.

Unfortunately for her, it was too late to stop him.

The countdown had reached zero.

"I’m going to show you the power of a Rank 4 human!" Ming Tian raised his hand and formed five giant balls made of his wind element.

Then, he launched it toward Auric in a parabolic curve, bypassing all the pillars.

’Hehehe. Once the wind spheres burst, you will have no choice but to reveal your position.’

Auric simply looked at the wind spheres without any change of expression. There was one thing he wanted to try.

When he treated Supervisor Jacob, he actually thought of this method.

Two months ago, he learned the method of using his power on the environment around him. He had been honing his power ever since.

Then, one week ago, he gained the ability to single out one particular energy.

As a result, he could see the passive energy.

Passive energy was an energy that wasn’t in the circulation, but that meant that passive energy could turn into active energy by entering the circulation, specifically the avatar.

He wondered what would happen if he removed it from the equation. Would that energy remain as active energy, or would it turn back into passive energy?

If he fought more than one person, he might not be able to do it since he could only single out one element.

Hence, he released his chaos element to destroy everything that made the wind spheres active energy.

Auric’s fingers twitched. Seeing the incoming wind sphere, he simply raised his right hand and snapped his fingers.

Then, the five wind spheres suddenly disappeared.

"!!!" All the people who watched the battle widened their eyes in shock.

"W-What did he do?"

"The wind spheres disappeared?"

Song Xue felt chills down her spine. Even Ellia, who knew Auric the longest, wasn’t able to figure out what Auric actually did this time. There was only one thing on her mind. Auric was really pissed if he was willing to show this kind of ability. Of course, she misunderstood him this time.

Auric wasn’t pissed. He merely thought that acting pissed would actually benefit him on this trip.

What he did earlier was actually simple. He first spread his energy like his father did, which meant that his energy brushed the wind spheres.

Confronting five wind spheres head-on would be impossible even for Auric, which was why he only confronted the active parts in those wind spheres. Once he got rid of them, all that was left in the wind spheres was passive energy.

Passive energy would simply disperse and get connected with the rest of the energy in the air.

Despite the simplicity of the principle, Auric was probably the only one who was able to do it in the entire world.

"Wha—!" Ming Tian took a step back in horror. He was expecting his wind spheres to burst, believing Auric had nothing that could stop them.

Yet the wind spheres simply disappeared as he lost his connection with them.

Auric didn’t stop here.

That gray energy burst from his right foot this time. He lifted it up and stomped the ground.

The gray energy dispersed in all directions.

In that instant, all pillars were dismantled, turning the arena back into a plain platform.

"What? What did he do? There’s no way to remove all those pillars even if you have earth element..." Ming Tian trembled.

The students were speechless. They were wondering what they were actually watching.

Auric walked toward Ming Tian.

Ming Tian gritted his teeth and waved his hand. "NOOO! I’m the vice president of the Heaven and Earth Club, the first son of the Ming family!"

His hand released a powerful gust of wind that could slice anything in its path to pieces.

Yet it took Auric a single snap from his fingers to make it disappear. Auric continued to walk slowly. Every step he took put unimaginable pressure on Ming Tian.

"You monster!" Ming Tian gradually lost his mind. He had never seen anything like this before, so his mind wasn’t prepared to analyze it or counter it.

Unfortunately for him, no matter what he threw at Auric, Auric simply snapped his fingers.

A battle between a Rank 3 human and a Rank 4 human? They believed Ming Tian would win, but since Auric was a rising star, they thought that Auric would put up a great fight.

But the scene in their eyes couldn’t be any different. The Rank 4 human had already lost his mind, seeing that none of his attacks worked.

Meanwhile, the Rank 3 human who people expected to struggle simply marched slowly. The closer he got, the more terrified the Rank 4 human became.

At this rate, Ming Tian would lose his mind first without Auric doing anything.

And finally, Auric stood in front of Ming Tian.

Ming Tian’s back was already drenched in cold sweat. He looked at Auric in horror. He had done everything possible, but Auric kept snapping his fingers.

Just hearing someone snap their fingers would definitely give him a nightmare at this point. He had never been utterly defeated, let alone by someone who was supposed to be weaker than him.

There was one thing he hadn’t tried yet, but it wasn’t something he was supposed to do.

As someone who relied greatly on his elemental control, Ming Tian simply screamed and threw a punch. "Aaaahhhh!"

He screamed as loud as possible, showing his desperation. He thought that if magical energy didn’t work, he could still use his superior physique.

Auric covered his body with lightning energy this time to boost his speed.

With this, there was no way Ming Tian could keep up with his speed.

Auric grabbed Ming Tian’s face and slammed his head into the ground.

Bam!

A huge crack formed in the arena as Ming Tian’s eyes rolled back.

Auric harrumphed and tossed him up as if he were throwing trash, causing his body to bounce and roll a few times on the ground.
