Chapter 1359: It Can’t Get Worse.

The severed arm fell to the ground like a hammer hitting an anvil. Then it disintegrated and sank into the white ground.

Meanwhile, Loki looked for a way to escape, racking his mind. Whether by fluke or lack of power, he sensed no one around him. As he looked left and right, the hole in his chest closed up and healed. But then something swept through his neck, beheading him.

His head struck the ground, rolling across it and causing the earth to quake. It also disintegrated and turned into spirit stones that fell into the second heaven.

Meanwhile, another head had grown on his neck. With his new mouth, he shouted, "You can’t kill me, Wandering Thief. I am a Gemini."

The person attacking him finally spoke. They said, "Don’t worry. I have something to deal with that."

On the other side, black Loki thought about what he could use to get a world to accept his Supreme Metac.

’I don’t have Supreme Metacs to make deals. I don’t have the strength to use force. I also don’t have money, so what can I do?’

Someone replied, saying, "Prepare to die, invader."

Then his surroundings changed, turning into an ocean of fire.

One moment, it was the upper realm, and it was dry. But now he was submerged in lava as far as his eye could see.

The lava was burning him too. It wasn’t just for show. It was burning him alive and destroying his body.

White Loki fell for it completely, but true Loki wasn’t impressed. He looked around the ocean of fire and forced white Loki to say, "Is that you, Heavenly Eye?"

When he looked around for the source of the voice, he saw no one. This could be because the person was too fast to keep track of, or they had a Supreme Metac to hide themselves.

Based on what he was currently experiencing with the lava that suddenly appeared from nowhere, he believed that the latter was at play.

But he also couldn’t be sure why he couldn’t see this person because even with over 2,000 free divinity from the spark of power, he was too weak without Domain Power and the amplification of the Divine Spark.

But he was sure of two things. He was sure that Wandering Thief meant to kill him permanently, and he was sure that it was time to go.

Black Chain’s appearance around the golden mountain, and his imminent joining of it, confirmed his worst fears. Once Black Chain joined the Divine Mountain, the situation would only get worse. He didn’t want that to happen at all.

’He is targeting both clones at the same time, so he definitely knows what needs to be done to kill a Gemini completely,’ he thought, feeling impressed.

’He shouldn’t have known how to kill Gemini younglings so soon. There is only one reason he will know this information so early.’

’I am impressed, to be honest. The fact that he could mobilize so many people to work together with him and target me is just spectacular.’

’First, the Will of the Blessed Heaven World. Then Heavenly Eye appeared. Now Black Chain has joined the party too, making it four against one. Is this all because I’m a Gemini now?’

To prevent what happened in the previous timeline from happening again, he had created the Rewind Metac with black Loki and left it in the Devouring Supreme Metac.

He didn’t care that it would become exposed that he possessed the Rewind Metac and could use Divine Metacs of other pathways. He disregarded that potential danger in favor of keeping himself alive and not living his life and death in the hands of incompetent clones.

Now that he was in a pickle, he should activate the Rewind Metac and escape with it. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do that because his Supreme Metac had descended into his avatar in the lower realm. So the only option was to have the avatar activate the Rewind Metac.

However, before the avatar could activate it, Wandering Thief said, "So you’re the one who took the Rewind Metac. Count yourself lucky."

As he spoke, he stopped cutting Loki’s body. The world also faded away into darkness.

Of course, Black Loki and White Loki didn’t notice the world losing its color. It was the true Loki who noticed the end of the timeline.

But even though he saw it happen, he couldn’t do anything to stop it. He was simply too weak at the moment.

’I see. They want to reverse time to get another crack at me. I bet they will target the Rewind Metac next.’

Then he grinned and thought, ’Bring it on.’

Just then, the world fell into total darkness. When Loki sensed the anchor of the viable timeline, he said, "Let’s goooo!"

His figure flickered through the darkness, quickly approaching the light at the end of the tunnel. Then, with one final exertion of power, he burst into the light, embracing it and merging with it.

The light dispersed the darkness, revealing a complete and full reality. Loki looked around and saw the golden mountain beneath his feet. He also saw Gemini younglings rushing over from all around him.

’So I’ve returned to the time I established the Divine Mountain. It is even earlier than last time. My white clone hasn’t left the golden mountain yet.’

’Now that I know what time I’ve returned to, I can deal with the other questions I have. Like, why did they all target me? What did I do to offend everyone and warrant being ganged up on like that?`

’What did I miss in that one month I was away?’ he asked, frowning.

As usual, his clones were no help. From their perspective, the downfall and beating down that happened in the previous timeline never occurred. So he didn’t bother asking them for information.

’The priority is to secure my Domain Power. Only then can I deal with Black Chain and any other Dao Lord that wants to jump out to get me.’
