THE GOD EATER

Money Body was usually always lying, but he wasn’t lying this time around. This time, both his spoken words and his inner thoughts were aligned. Of course, his inner thoughts had more information that he didn’t want anyone to learn.

Inwardly, he gritted his teeth as he thought, ’He is strong, so I admit defeat. If he also has lifespan to burn, then he can go and burn it.’

’I also burned through a lot of lifespan to make use of the information. There is no way I will let him take a shortcut through me. He will have to burn through his lifespan for that information to be useful.’

It took him burning over a million years of lifespan before he reached the Quasi-Supreme Grandmaster level of understanding. Even then, he hid the fact that he had reached that level of understanding by not using up to four Divine Positions.

He had made up his mind that when he finally got the fourth Divine Position, it would be when he was sure that he would be able to escape the control of the sect. This is because the sect will start to pay close attention to him once he acquires four Divine Positions.

With so much at stake, there is no way he will expose the fact that he has reached the Quasi-Supreme Grandmaster level of understanding just for Forced Exchange’s life or for the secret hidden in the second dimension of the Blessed Heaven World.

Of course, he would like to keep that secret to himself and hoard the benefits. But between protecting his life and advancing to rank 9 on one side and saving Forced Exchange and keeping his life on the other side, the former is more important than the latter.

Forced Exchange could tell that Money Body had made up his mind, so he said, "In that case, just kill me. It is better to die early than to waste lifespan just to ensure more pain for nothing."

Then he chuckled as he said, "I’ve always hated this life anyway. I’ve always hated being your slave, and I’ve always hated you. So it might not be a bad thing to die like this."

"I know I won’t miss this kind of life. Hopefully, after I die, I will get a better life in my next life."

The chests of the other five slaves tightened when they heard this. Then they looked at Money Body with fear in their eyes.

Forced Exchange could say what he said because he was going to die anyway. But they were still alive, and Money Body could take his anger out on them. After all, what Forced Exchange said is similar to what they truly feel.

But Money Body didn’t get angry. Instead, he laughed loudly.

His laughter rang out through the core of the Cave Heaven and into the Cave Heaven itself. He laughed like that for several seconds.

After laughing, he clenched his fist and raised up as he said, "This is why strength is so important. It is why having strength is so sweet and pleasurable. Because I am stronger, I can enslave people and force them to work for me even if they hate me from the bottom of their hearts."

Then he brought down his fist on Forced Exchange’s Life Fire. The Life Fire immediately scattered and went out. So Forced Exchange died.

After he killed Forced Exchange, he smiled and said to the five slaves, "Don’t worry. I know what you’re thinking, but I won’t use that to punish you because I don’t care about what you really think of me."

"It is more than enough for me that I can enslave you. Unlike a certain unreasonable person, I won’t demand that you think well of me. In fact, the fact that you hate me only makes this whole arrangement more pleasurable for me. So you can continue to hate me."

No one said anything in response to this. They didn’t speak because they didn’t know what to say.

They couldn’t very well thank him for being so reasonable. They especially didn’t want to thank him for being reasonable when they hated him.

What they wanted to do was to smash that smug smile off his face. Since they couldn’t do that, they would rather settle for an awkward silence.

But it seemed that even an awkward silence was a luxury that they couldn’t afford because their Cave Heaven began to shake a few seconds after Forced Exchange died.

The shaking Cave Heaven sounded like an earthquake was going through it. The sound of the earth cracking and opening up was so loud that they heard it within the core of the Cave Heaven.

The shaking of the Cave Heaven immediately drew their attention, and when they looked at what was happening in their Cave Heaven, they saw that a small part of the Cave Heaven was collapsing.

Apparently, 3.5% of their Cave Heaven, or an area of 100 million square kilometers in size, was breaking away from their Cave Heaven. This could only happen if the core of the Cave Heaven didn’t have enough Divine Metacs to maintain the size of the Cave Heaven.

When Money Body realized this, he shook his head and said, "This shouldn’t be happening. Something has gone wrong."

His first guess about what had gone wrong was that something had malfunctioned in the Forced Exchange Divine Metac. So after speaking, he turned to the Forced Exchange Metac to examine it.

His examination revealed that the Forced Exchange Metac was dead and couldn’t be used by him to stabilize his Cave Heaven. Not only that, it appeared that the Forced Exchange Metac was now in no condition to be used by anyone.

This made his heart skip a beat in fear as he muttered, "What kind of entity did we just cross?"

When this question popped up in his mind, the first guess that came to his mind was that the person Forced Exchange fought was actually a Dao Lord.
