THE GOD EATER

As Loki smiled, he said inwardly, ’That should be 468 million square kilometers out of 2,868 million square kilometers. It should hurt nicely. I hope the hurt is enough.’

Then he turned to Many Eyes and beckoned to him, saying, "Pay up. You have one hour, and you can’t leave until you pay me."

In response, Many Eyes sighed in defeat. He shrunched up his face in bitterness and reluctance. So Loki had to urge him again.

Loki said with impatience, "Don’t waste my time. I have places to be and people to meet."

No matter how reluctant Many Eyes was about losing his small worlds, he signed a contract. So he could only open his mouth and spill his guts to Loki about the location of all the worlds he knew.

He told Loki about 13 worlds. Of these 13 worlds, 7 belonged to him. The remaining 6 belonged to other people.

One of these 6 worlds was the small world that Money Armor is currently guarding. It was the one Loki had stopped by earlier. So it was the biggest of the five small worlds that Loki knew that the Thorn House of Commerce possessed.

That small world was 15 million square kilometers in size. He didn’t know about the other five small worlds, but Many Eyes told him that one of them was a medium world that was nearly 700 million square kilometers in size.

When Loki heard this, he smiled and said, "It seems it was worth it that I didn’t kill you."

If he had killed Many Eyes, he would have only gained a Cave Heaven that was 375 million square kilometers in size and two Divine Metacs. But with this deal, he was going to gain more than a billion square kilometers and at least 12 Divine Metacs. So he was in a good mood.

What he didn’t know was that Many Eyes was also in a good mood.

On the surface, Many Eyes’ face was downcast, and he looked like he had lost half of his life, which should be the case. After all, the 12 worlds he had saved up so far were the fruit of the labor of half of his life.

But, inwardly, Many Eyes wasn’t actually downtrodden about the whole thing. Of course, he was sad about losing so much of what he had worked for. But he was also full of anticipation for what evils would soon befall Loki.

He was full of anticipation because the medium world belonged to someone very powerful, who he was sure would be able to deal with Loki. The other small worlds that didn’t belong to him also belonged to many people who would be angry when Loki stole their world.

The best part is that Loki didn’t force him to hide the fact that he told Loki the location of their worlds in their contract. Loki also didn’t ask him to keep it a secret that he knows who the thief is when the worlds go missing.

Because of these loopholes, he is sure that when Loki gets into a lot of trouble for stealing those small worlds, he would be able to make sure that all of the trouble buries Loki.

The more he thought about what he could do, the more excited he became. His mind churned with anticipation as he thought, ’Forget about waiting for him to get into trouble. I can even bring the trouble forward by selling my small worlds to other people.’

’I should also make sure to sell the small worlds to powerful people. That way, the quantity and quality of trouble he will get into will improve drastically.’

Another thing that Loki forgot to ask him to do was not to sell the small worlds. In fact, the small worlds are still his. Loki didn’t ask him to transfer ownership. So he could still do whatever he wanted with those small worlds.

He has accepted the loss of the small worlds at this point. It is something he has to do after witnessing Loki’s strength. But that doesn’t mean that he will give up on having his revenge. Especially now that Loki has given him too many opportunities to do so.

However, he didn’t expose any of his true thoughts on his face. Instead, he looked sad as he told Loki what he wanted.

After he had fulfilled his part of the contract, he took his leave. As he flew away, he said, "I hope I don’t see you ever again."

In response, Loki chuckled and said, "I have a feeling that we will."

Inwardly, he thought, saying, ’Maybe not in this timeline, but we will surely meet again.’

There is actually a good chance that they will meet again in this timeline. After all, the contract could only protect Many Eyes for one year.

According to their contract, he wouldn’t try to hunt and kill Many Eyes for a period of one year. Of course, if Many Eyes tries to hurt him in the one year of peace, he would be well within his rights to fight back.

This one year of safety was satisfactory to Many Eyes, and Loki decided to go along with it. But he was sure that if Many Eyes knew that Loki had marked him and could tell where he was in one year’s time, Many Eyes would not be so agreeable.

Because of the tracking mark, in one year’s time, Loki can visit Many Eyes again. If Many Eyes doesn’t have enough worlds to lay for his life at that point, then the situation can become dire for him.

When Loki thought about this, he shrugged and said inwardly, ’I don’t plan to be here in one year’s time. But if for some reason I am still around, then I won’t mind snacking on a seer with too many eyes.’

Then he turned towards the east as he thought, ’On to the third strongest. I hope she gives me a pleasant surprise. I just hope my tracking marks will be enough.’
