He paused at this point to consider something. Then he said, "All I know about ancient cultivation is that they could cultivate with some substance in the air, and that substance could increase their lifespan. They seemed to use that substance too much, so it ran out. That made ancient cultivators unable to cultivate, so they had to switch to another method."

He was actually telling the truth about this. This is all he knows about ancient cultivators. If not for the fact that he will need to beg for 500,000 years of lifespan later, he wouldn’t have said anything.

He didn’t want to offend his sponsors, so instead of lying and saying he didn’t know anything about ancient cultivators, he decided to tell them something useful.

Actually, he had started out intending to lie. His decision to tell the truth was made after he said his second sentence.

Inwardly, he sneered and thought, ’It is not their fault that they can take advantage of me. If I didn’t need their lifespan, I wouldn’t have said it.’

Then he looked at his precious Supreme Metac as he thought with a heavy heart, ’This thing needs a lot of lifespan, though. If I had to get 1 million years of lifespan myself, I would need more than 6 million years worth of world essence to convert to 1 million years of lifespan with my conversion efficiency of 16.5%.’

’Even with a conversion efficiency of 50%, I would still need 2 million years’ worth of lifespan. There is no way I can afford that.’

’And that’s just for the final touch. I wonder how much it cost the will of the super world to create those eight rank 8 Divine Positions.’

’Truly, becoming a rank 9 being is very expensive. I must not give up on this fat thigh that I’ve hung onto. Who would have expected me to be so lucky?’

He was truly grateful for the generosity of his sponsors, and he made up his mind not to make them angry until he didn’t need them.

So when the dragon nodded in satisfaction and said, "How many ways are there to advance to rank 9?"

He didn’t get angry.

He should get angry that someone wanted to get such a valuable piece of information from him. But he said truthfully, "As far as I know, there should be at least two ways to advance to rank 9. One of them is related to the creation of Supreme Metac. The other one should be related to the size of one’s Cave Heaven."

"I don’t know much about how the size of one’s Cave Heaven can help us advance to rank 9. But I believe that it had something to do with why the eight sects have placed a limit on the size of our Cave Heaven."

"I also know that a super world is needed to advance to rank 9. I don’t know why, but that’s always been the case in the Sea of Worlds. For some reason, only super worlds can create rank 9 beings."

Then he shrugged and said, "That’s all I know about the methods of advancing to rank 9. As for how to become a Dao Lord, that information is beyond me."

He knows who to ask for the information about how to advance to rank 10, but he is not going to expose that secret. Not only did he swear an oath not to reveal the existence of Time Traveler, but he also didn’t want to lose all of his usefulness to his new super world.

If he held on to the secret of Time Traveler’s existence, he could always use this leverage to remain useful to his super world. That way, even if he is weaker than the dragon king, it will be difficult to get rid of him.

But even though he didn’t reveal Time Traveler’s existence, Loki was satisfied with the information he had revealed. He was extra satisfied because he hadn’t expected a real answer from Money Body.

He had asked the question about the methods of advancing to rank 9 because he had used a method other than creating a Supreme Metac to advance to rank 9. So he wanted to know if what he did was common practice or not.

He didn’t expect to hear that there were actually at least three methods to advance to rank 9, and he had used the one method no one else could. This got him thinking.

He thought to himself, ’This Money Body sure knows a lot of things. I am willing to bet that he learned them from Time Traveler. Maybe I should have a chat with Time Traveler soon."

Just as he had this thought, he realized that Money Body had used more than 500,000 years of lifespan for his Supreme Metac. This made him look at Money Body with a suspicious gaze.

From what he saw, Money Body didn’t seem to notice that he was overdrafting lifespan. At least, if he noticed it, he didn’t have any plan to bring it up and admit to it.

So Loki had to be the one to say, "What are you doing? Why are you using more than 500,000 years’ worth of lifespan? The dragon king is very angry."

In response, Money Body asked in confusion, "I have used more than 500,000 years? That can’t be right. My estimates indicated a maximum of 500,000 years of lifespan."

His words didn’t appease Loki at all. In fact, Loki seemed to become angrier.

Loki shouted with fake anger, saying, "Are you saying that the dragon king and the will of our world are wrong? Do you know what you’re saying?"

Money Body immediately apologized, saying, "I wasn’t accusing them of anything. I am sorry if my words came off as an accusation."

His face became thoughtful as he said, "It would seem that my estimates were wrong. Maybe I was wrong somewhere."
