He originally thought Li Jiaxiang had told her what happened last night, but to his surprise, he was called in to coordinate with Jun Yue.

"You two already know each other. We don’t have much time."

"We need to get this product to market as quickly as possible."

"Huh?"

Listening to Li Muwan, Jiang Fan’s brain stalled for a second. "What do you mean, we don’t have much time?"

"We’re launching the new product directly?"

"Huh? What happened?"

Jiang Fan looked at Jun Yue.

Looking up at him, Jun Yue chose her words carefully before speaking.

"Don’t worry. I’ve named this product ’Guardian,’ and there won’t be any issues with the launch."

"And it’s guaranteed to be a bestseller. That’s how confident we at Yuefan Group are."

"Right now, we need to quickly announce the partnership between our two companies. This new product will be our main focus."

"Actually, the main reason is that Li Fengming has woken up."

As soon as Jun Yue finished, Li Muwan jumped in.

"I suspect Fengming Group is planning another big move, especially with how deep the bad blood between us runs now."

"So we need to hurry."

"He’s awake? How could he be awake?"

Jiang Fan was stunned. ’I was so careful with my attack. I calculated he’d be out for half a month, definitely not just a week.’

"Also, stay here at the company for the time being. If anything comes up, tell me immediately."

Li Muwan added, looking troubled.

"The first thing he did when he woke up was to name you as his attacker. He’s insisting you’re the one who beat him to a pulp."

"What the hell? Is he just making wild accusations??"

Jiang Fan’s eyes widened.

The memory of being tested in Yin Ruxue’s office was still fresh in his mind.

He wasn’t sure if this was another test, so he put on a very convincing act.

"That’s what the police are saying too, but it’s no use. He’s sticking to his story and refuses to budge."

"Even when they showed him evidence to the contrary, he wouldn’t accept it. He said if they couldn’t handle it, he’d take care of it himself."

"I’m afraid he’ll get desperate and do something crazy."

Li Muwan explained succinctly, then handed him a folder. "This outlines the collaboration process."

"Yuefan has already provided the design schematics. Go coordinate with them."

After she spoke, Li Muwan hesitated for a moment. "It’s not that I’m just dumping this all on you. There’s a company bonus for this work."

"Plus, we really are short-staffed right now."

She was afraid Jiang Fan would misunderstand again like last time.

"How much is the bonus?"

Hearing the word "bonus," Jiang Fan’s eyes lit up.

"Six thousand! As long as you can complete this task."

After speaking, Li Muwan slapped a voucher down on the desk. "This is already signed. The moment you finish the job, you can collect on it. The finance department will transfer the funds immediately."

"You got it!"

Jiang Fan beamed. ’Who’s going to say no to money?’

Seeing his pathetic display, Jun Yue rolled her eyes. "Why don’t you just come work for my company? I’ll double your salary and bonus."

"You look so pathetic."

"Get outta here. Why’d you have to go and speak the truth? This is money!"

Jiang Fan straightened his back and glared at her.

"Quick, explain these schematics to me..."

"Never mind, we’ll talk on the way. I think it’ll be more efficient for you to communicate directly with the production engineers."

"After all, everyone has their own expertise, right?"

Jun Yue was both annoyed and amused. ’The boss of the Yufan Design Team, a world-renowned designer, is being roped into doing grunt work for me. Is there no justice in this world? No law?’

But seeing Jiang Fan’s enthusiastic expression, she really couldn’t bring herself to refuse him.

The two of them spent the entire day coordinating with the production team about the new product.

Workers would begin manufacturing that very night.

"Don’t go yet. Let’s grab dinner together," Jiang Fan said, rubbing his throbbing temples.

"I’ll pass on dinner. But I do have some news for you."

"Li Fengming has been discharged from the hospital and gone home. His house is at Tianshui Villa, Number One."

After Jun Yue finished speaking, Jiang Fan stared at her blankly.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"You think I did it, don’t you? Do I seem like that kind of guy? Is that what you really think of me?"

But before Jiang Fan could even get a few yaps in, Jun Yue grabbed his ear. "What are you trying to pull? It’s one thing to put on an act for them, but you’re trying it on me, too?"

"I know you too well. Who else is that devious? If I wasn’t sure before, I definitely was after I saw you take down those guys with a few slaps last night. Do you think I’m an idiot?"

"You can put on an act for them, but if you try it with me, I’ll kill you!"

Jiang Fan quickly begged for mercy.

The two of them had grown up together. To be frank, they knew each other far too well.

After Jun Yue confirmed that Jiang Fan was the one who had done it, she immediately had someone gather information on Li Fengming, including his home address.

She was certain Jiang Fan would find it useful, and just as she’d expected, she was right.

After dropping off Jun Yue, Jiang Fan drove back to his residential complex, but instead of going into his apartment, he stealthily slipped out again.

He really couldn’t afford any unexpected moves from Li Fengming at such a critical time. The variables were too great.

After changing into an all-black outfit, covering his face, and putting on sunglasses, Jiang Fan arrived at Tianshui Villa.

As if strolling through his own backyard, he snuck into Li Fengming’s room in the dark.

Although the room was dark, it was no obstacle for him at all.

He quickly reached Li Fengming’s bedside, but his gaze darted toward the area behind the curtains.

Confirming it was Li Fengming on the bed, Jiang Fan raised his hand and slapped him.

Then, a storm of blows rained down on him, beating the barely-recovered Li Fengming’s face until it was swollen like a pig’s head.

He was swollen all over.

This quick combo knocked him unconscious again before he could even cry out.

He then retreated quickly, but just as he exited the villa, someone blocked his path. "I knew you’d come!"

Hearing this voice, Jiang Fan’s heart tightened.

Although he had forgotten the person’s name, he remembered she was the female police officer who had tested him in Yin Ruxue’s office!
