When he got home, Sun Yanzi had already prepared dinner. Jiang Fan took a shower and sat down.

However, he noticed that Sun Yanzi’s spirits didn’t seem very high. She asked a couple of questions about the school but didn’t say much else.

"What’s wrong? Have you been busy and stressed at the company lately?" Jiang Fan asked. "Or did something go wrong with the proposal?"

Sun Yanzi shook her head. "Things at the company were going pretty smoothly the past few days, but we’ve run into difficulties with the new product we’re developing. The launch date will probably have to be pushed back. On top of that, it seems Li Fengming of Fengming Group has woken up. I expect he’ll make a move against us again soon."

"He’s awake again? I thought I heard he was seriously injured last time. Shouldn’t it have taken him at least a month to recover?"

"That’s right. I don’t know what happened either. In any case, we’re working on a viable plan now. Otherwise, not only will this whole pre-launch campaign have been for nothing, but we might also get hit with a counterattack from Fengming Group."

"How are things with the school? Is everything going smoothly?" Li Muwan asked first.

"Not bad. Everything’s going great. We just have to arrange a few follow-up details today, and then classes can start as scheduled."

’Come to think of it, if it weren’t for Yin Ruxue and my so-called father-in-law, the school’s progress wouldn’t have been this smooth.’

"You called me in this early in the morning. It must be about the event proposal, right?"

"The proposal itself isn’t the main issue. It’s some unexpected situations that have come up!" Yin Ruxue said. "We’re short on raw materials for the new product we’re developing. Our original supplier has run into problems. Even if we can find another supplier now, the factory might not have enough time to produce the goods. Jiang Fan hadn’t expected that such a problem would arise in the company after he was gone for just a single day.

Li Muwan also shook her head gently.

"It happened suddenly. The raw material issue has actually been resolved, but the supplies are being shipped from out of town. Even if the factory works overtime, we might not be able to get the product out before the event. We must have a backup plan."

Jiang Fan nodded and said in a deep voice, "This problem is actually simple. The partnership between Xuerong International and Yuefan Group is already a huge publicity stunt. Yuefan Group, in particular, has always released high-end, custom products. We can launch a pre-sale event with them. We’ll put the new product in stores, but only for pre-sale. And we’ll make it offline pre-orders only, with a small number of units on display but not for purchase. Customers will have to come to our stores to pre-order the new item. Jiang Fan’s words made Yin Ruxue and Li Muwan nod again and again in approval.

"It seems I wasn’t mistaken about your business acumen. This is indeed a good method."

"Wan, I’ll take charge of the factory and resolve the product issues as quickly as possible. You two continue to refine the plan. We must ensure this event is completely foolproof."

Just as he was putting the finishing touches on the proposal, Jiang Fan felt a light tap on his desk.

He looked up and was surprised to see Yin Ruxue.

"Pack up. You’re coming with me!"

"But there are still over two hours until we get off work."

"When have you ever left work on time? Hurry up!"

"Then wait a second. I need to send the proposal to Manager Li right now."

"Faster!"

Jiang Fan was speechless. Not daring to delay, he hastily sent the proposal to Li Muwan and followed Yin Ruxue out of the company, leaving a crowd of stunned onlookers in their wake.
