He checked his phone. Li Muwan had sent him a message saying she would come pick him up around eleven-thirty.

Jiang Fan replied, then noted it was still early. He stretched, feeling full of energy, as if his body held an inexhaustible power.

He checked the time—it was already past eleven. Jiang Fan was surprised. In what felt like just a moment, he had been sitting cross-legged for over an hour without even realizing it.

Just then, Li Muwan messaged Jiang Fan, telling him she had left the office and was on her way, and that he should hurry up and get ready to go.

Jiang Fan glanced at the timestamp. Li Muwan had sent the message ten minutes ago. The drive from her office to his place was definitely less than half an hour.

Jiang Fan didn’t have time to think. He quickly replied with an “Okay” and rushed into the bathroom to shower.

After a hasty shower, he changed into the suit Li Muwan had prepared for him and checked his phone again. Li Muwan had already called him several times.

Jiang Fan quickly sent a reply and hurried downstairs. As he walked out of the residential complex, he saw a pink Mercedes parked a short distance away.

Jiang Fan quickly got into the car, offering an apologetic smile.

Li Muwan was wearing a white short skirt today, along with a light perfume.

The scent wasn’t strong, but it was captivating.

She looked especially lovely today, with her hair styled nicely and light makeup on. Her fair, slender legs were particularly eye-catching.

Just then, a dry cough suddenly rang out.

Jiang Fan wished he could find a hole to crawl into. Li Muwan, her face also beet red, could only pretend that nothing was wrong and keep driving.

“Jiang, when did I, in your eyes, become a ‘bargain-bin father-in-law’?” Li Jiaxiang asked, his voice calm but radiating authority.

“Dad, I’m telling you, this isn’t the first time this brat has called you his ‘bargain-bin father-in-law’ in front of me!”

And here was Li Muwan, brazenly ratting him out.

Jiang Fan was even more mortified.
