The Goddess CEO Fell in Love with Me
Chapter 85: Stubbornness and Tenderness
Chapter 85: Chapter 85: Stubbornness and Tenderness
"What are you talking about, you silly girl?"
"What’s wrong? Craving a man’s touch?"
Sun Yanzi looked her up and down, a faint smile playing on her lips.
"Hey, what are you saying, Yanzi! It’s so embarrassing!"
Though Yu Xiaoyu said she was dying of embarrassment, she wasn’t blushing in the slightest.
In fact, her eyes betrayed a hint of longing.
"Yanzi, this place is like a convent. We never even see any men around here."
"Now that a handsome one has finally shown up, and with a body like that..."
Yu Xiaoyu stuck out her pink tongue and lightly licked her lips!
"If you’re thirsty for a man, just admit it."
Sun Yanzi turned, her slender waist swaying, and walked away in her high heels.
Meanwhile, Jiang Fan had all but fled to the door of Yin Ruxue’s office.
He felt like Tang Monk who had fallen into the Silk Cave.
Every woman wanted a piece of him.
An internet joke he’d seen before suddenly popped into his head.
’My love, will eating this really grant immortality?’
’Don’t talk. Put your hair up!’
"Pfft."
Jiang Fan grinned, and the tension in his heart dissipated.
After taking a deep breath to calm himself, he pushed the door open and walked in.
"You were looking for me, Chairwoman?"
Yin Ruxue looked up at Jiang Fan as he entered, slightly taken aback.
Though his gaze was clear, she could see the distant, unapproachable look on his face.
This intensified the emotions swirling in her heart.
But she quickly suppressed it. "Yes. It’s nothing serious, so don’t be nervous. I just wanted to ask, what were you and Mu Wan up to yesterday?"
"That doesn’t really have anything to do with you, does it?"
Jiang Fan frowned, his reply lukewarm.
Stung by his sudden jab, Yin Ruxue froze for a moment. But as the founder of Xuerong Group, she was quick to recover and immediately adjusted her composure.
"Of course, I didn’t mean anything by it, and I’m not trying to control you two."
"I’m just worried that if you’re dating, it might affect your work."
"She is the general manager of the sales department, after all."
"We’re not dating. And I understand what you’re saying."
"If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going. I have work to do."
’To be honest, I really don’t want to have any contact with Yin Ruxue right now.’
Any man whose dignity had been trampled by a woman would harbor a thorn in his heart.
Even if he never spoke of it, even if he said it was all in the past.
This was especially true for someone as proud as Jiang Fan.
"Um... are you coming home tonight?"
Jiang Fan turned to look at her, and Yin Ruxue quickly explained, "It’s just that Mengmeng misses you a lot. She throws a tantrum now if she’s away from you for even a day."
"Today she was crying and screaming for you. I managed to calm her down and take her to school. I told her you’d be home to have dinner with her tonight."
"Is that so? I understand."
Jiang Fan nodded and left Yin Ruxue’s office.
Watching his retreating figure, Yin Ruxue slumped into her chair as if half of her Essence, Qi, and Spirit had been drained away.
She knew she had gone too far before, but with her personality, she would never bring herself to apologize.
Not even if she needed to ask Jiang Fan for a favor.
But for some reason, she felt as if she and this man were drifting further and further apart, and a faint, sharp pain pricked at her heart.
Especially when she saw him getting closer and closer to Li Muwan.
...
Back at his desk, Jiang Fan rubbed his brow. He couldn’t quite figure out what Yin Ruxue was up to.
’This woman is acting strange today. Her tone is so much gentler than usual.’
’But to be honest, this version of Yin Ruxue makes me incredibly uncomfortable.’
"What did you talk to the Chairwoman about? You look like you have a headache. Want me to rub your temples for you?"
Yu Xiaoyu leaned over the back of Jiang Fan’s chair, her firm breasts pressing against the top of his head.
While the scale of these "watermelons" couldn’t compare to Sun Yanzi’s, they were certainly not to be underestimated.
As she spoke, Yu Xiaoyu’s hands pressed against Jiang Fan’s temples.
The soothing pressure felt incredible to Jiang Fan. ’Her technique is really something. If we weren’t in the office, I might actually moan out loud.’
"It was nothing. The sales department has a project, and Manager Li wants me to come up with a proposal."
"But I have no idea how to do this kind of thing."
Jiang Fan’s frustration was genuine.
He had never encountered anything like this before.
"A proposal?"
"I can’t help you with that. That’s my weak spot too."
"But I can help you relieve your stress in other ways~"
Yu Xiaoyu whispered ambiguously, leaning close to Jiang Fan’s ear.
Especially with those gently swaying "mountains," Jiang Fan instantly understood what she meant.
"AHEM, AHEM. No, that’s okay. I’ll figure it out myself."
Jiang Fan hastily refused.
"Get back to work! Don’t bother your colleagues!"
Sun Yanzi walked over and lightly pinched Yu Xiaoyu’s ear.
"Yanzi, what are you doing? I was just talking about work with a colleague! Work!!"
Yu Xiaoyu didn’t want to leave, but Sun Yanzi wasn’t negotiating.
"Talking about work, are you? If you can’t hand in your proposal tomorrow, I’m docking your bonus for this month."
"Nooo! I’ll go work on it right now!"
Yu Xiaoyu let out a miserable cry and scurried back to her desk.
"Don’t mind her. That little girl has never been in a relationship, so she’s always been curious."
"You should get back to your work."
"I won’t bother you either."
Sun Yanzi said this with great consideration, knowing Jiang Fan was under a lot of pressure.
Jiang Fan nodded. Although he felt a little disappointed, he knew that if he didn’t finish, Li Muwan would definitely dock his pay.
With no other choice, he steeled himself and opened his computer.
Project Phoenix Proposal!
After typing out those three words, Jiang Fan felt an endless stream of inspiration welling up in his mind.
It was just that if anyone else saw the name of his proposal, they would probably roll their eyes into the back of their heads.
’Who names a project like that?’
But Jiang Fan couldn’t be bothered with that. He went from typing clumsily on the keyboard at first to his fingers flying across the keys.
The entire process took only about an hour.
Before long, the sound of frantic tapping echoed through the sales department office, all of it coming from Jiang Fan’s desk.
It frequently attracted the gazes of many people.
Everyone was curious about what on earth Jiang Fan was doing.
"What are you doing? You’re making so much noise that nobody can concentrate on their work."
Sun Yanzi walked over.
Seeing the screen densely packed with text, a spark of curiosity appeared in her eyes.
"I’m writing the proposal."
Jiang Fan’s hands didn’t stop moving.
"Use this keyboard. That one is too loud."
Sun Yanzi handed him a pink keyboard.
"A silent keyboard?"
Jiang Fan stopped and asked curiously, turning his head to look around.
He noticed that everyone’s eyes did indeed seem to be focused on him.
"Sorry, I didn’t notice."
Jiang Fan grinned, quickly swapped the keyboards, and started typing again.
"It’s already noon. Aren’t you going to eat?"
