Chapter 2250: Chapter 3: He Is Kind

Gan Wenshan and Gan Wenji brought two female classmates and chatted passionately. As an NBA player, he undeniably has a deadly attraction to girls, and his attitude toward relationships is entirely different from his father’s.

He loves his mother and sister deeply. In his eyes, other women are just companions who provide emotional pleasure. He never thought about settling down with anyone to start a family.

If he had to name someone, it would be his first love in Portland, when he was just fifteen. She soon disappeared, reportedly hiding in China, and Gan Wenshan knew why but couldn’t change it—it was a mistake he made in his youth.

Facing almost omnipotent parents, Gan Wenshan could only suppress some emotions or channel them on the court and with women. Choosing the number 34 jersey in college was his greatest act of rebellion in his career.

"I heard Kobe is here too, is he next door? Can we go see him?" the pretty blonde girl leaned close to Gan Wenshan and asked.

An hour ago, Kobe, Allen Iverson, and other stars arrived, causing bursts of exclamation from the crowd. They quickly entered the inner private rooms.

"Yes, if you want to go to him for an autograph, you can. You might even have a chance to date him; that guy is a lecher. Of course, Allen Iverson is too. NBA players are actually no different from prostitutes."

"You’re an NBA player too." The blonde girl replied in a teasing tone.

"I’m younger than them, so I’m pricier," Gan Wenshan wasn’t upset; while he teased others, he accepted being teased himself.

But he’d already made up his mind that today he would pin down this blonde girl and go at her fiercely a few times. These female students always spoke with a certain frivolity and arrogance, which made Gan Wenshan quite displeased.

Of course, what irritated him more was Gan Wenjiang’s composed and mature demeanor on the side. He didn’t participate in the discussions but was coming and going, busy arranging and observing everything.

Everyone thought Gan Wenjiang’s behavior and actions were more like Gan Guoyang. His appearance didn’t resemble the round and plump Gan Guohui, but was angular, and as he got older, his square face became more pronounced. Many said this nephew would inherit Gan Guoyang’s vast empire in Vegas, while Gan Wenshan would just be an NBA player and enjoy a rich man’s life after retirement.

Gan Wenshan indeed wasn’t very interested in the empire his father had built—at least not now; focusing on being a basketball player and then enjoying life was his ideal pursuit.

The money he earned from playing was enough for him to lead a prosperous life. He didn’t like any of the various businesses under his father’s name. Now is the era of high technology and the internet; if investing, invest in the internet, technology, chips, film and entertainment. But his dad, as the Goat of the basketball world, started with investments in the funeral industry and ventured into construction, catering, real estate, gambling, finance, water supply, medical care, waste recycling, agriculture, and livestock—all traditional industries as ancient as human society.

These industries have low investment returns and high operating costs, with a lot of fixed assets and management on a large scale. This forced Gan Guoyang to maintain a huge group—only an energy Superman like him could handle it, and still open a restaurant and cook once in a while. In Gan Wenshan’s view, his dad is wasting his life.

He also made countless friends, from all walks of life. Gan Wenshan preferred solitude; he even didn’t want to stay overnight with women, leaving after the deed. His circle of friends was kept small and limited; he couldn’t accept being like his dad, meeting endless people, handling endless things like a tribal chief.

On the contrary, Gan Wenjiang accepted and admired all this. There he was, busy with the meeting list, greeting people everywhere. Gan Wenshan wasn’t jealous of him, nor did he mind Gan Wenjiang taking over the family business in the future. After all, Uncle Guohui contributed a lot to the group, and he loved this brother. Just couldn’t stand his demeanor and always wanted to cause him trouble.

After Gan Wenjiang reported the list to Gan Guohui, Gan Wenshan came over, grabbed him, and hugged his neck, saying: "Ah Jiang, is there anything happening tonight? I rarely return to Vegas; let’s go out and have fun."

Gan Wenshan inherited his father’s incredible strength, his arms like iron clamps, and intentionally squeezed Gan Wenjiang, almost making him breathless.

"I still have things to handle tonight... bro, find your own fun..."

"Yeah right! What fun can I find in Vegas? Better just train at home. You punk, always busy with this and that, what are you handling?!"

As Gan Wenshan spoke, he exerted more force, almost lifting Gan Wenjiang up; he liked to bother his brother this way.

The private room door was pushed open again. A capable, dark-skinned man stood there like an iron bar; everyone paused, seemingly intimidated by his sternness.

He pointed at Gan Wenjiang, saying: "Ah Jiang, the boss wants you upstairs, second floor."

Gan Wenshan quickly let go, and Gan Wenjiang adjusted his clothes, followed the man out, and hurried upstairs.

The blonde girl asked Gan Wenshan: "Who’s that person? He looks kind of intimidating..."

"The eldest of the Feng Brothers, Feng Peiyu, my mom and dad’s most capable assistant. He was our bodyguard when we were young, but we all kind of fear them, except my sister. Right, Xiao Yi?"

Gan Wenyi glanced at her brother and said: "Uncle Feng is a good person, just has a cold personality."
