The Golem Mage

Chapter 1205: The Invading Groups [1].

Across the Wilderness realm at the other opposite domain of Alec’s, a vast sea stretched out before them, from which several aquatic demi-humans were currently emerging.

Spotting these strange lifeforms, the guards of the nearest city lord immediately rang the warning bell to alert their master. However, preoccupied in his chambers with pleasures of the flesh, the city lord paid little heed to the alarm.

He simply ordered additional warriors to the city gates, remaining unconcerned due to the long-standing peace in the human territories and the knowledge that the major hostile forces that were still actively at war with the humans were kept at bay by the unified strength of the human emperors.

Within minutes, the disruptive sound of battle reached his ears once more, making him wonder what was truly wrong because he had dispatched his army commander to crush the troublemakers at the gates earlier.

Which meant he had anticipated a swift, quiet resolution, but on the contrary it seems the conflict only continued to escalate, he realized this threat surpassed conventional means and finally decided to investigate personally.

Standing upon the second floor of his castle, the structure’s uppermost level—the human lord stepped outside, unable to believe the devastation before him: nearly half of his domain was completely submerged under water.

His military forces were struggling heavily against the invading aquatic demi-humans, and terrifying aquatic beasts like the Frost Jaw crocodiles were actively preying upon his citizens.

Many of these demonic entities were of Mid rank realms. Watching from his vantage point, the king trembled with anxiety, desperately wondering how he had managed to draw the attention of the dreaded sea race.

This was the very same race that had waged a massive war against all of humanity on the central plain just a few years prior.

During that conflict, it required the unified forces of numerous human king pillars from across the human realm just to push them back into the ocean; they had never actually been defeated—merely repelled back to the sea.

With the remnants of his army reduced to a handful of soldiers holding out on the center of the city wall, the king knew he stood no chance if he delayed any longer.

As a mere Low Tier 7 mage, his heart sank further as he scanned the horizon and counted roughly ten Tier 7 sharkkin positioned just past his defenses.

These humanoid demi-humans possessed light blue skin and heads that could instantly shift into a shark-like shape while remaining completely compatible.

They had shark-like eyes and a row of dangerously sharp teeth, ensuring a bite power that no human could ever compete with, whether in their human or shark-headed form, and Dorsal fins also traced along their necks.

As the human lord fled downstairs to retrieve his lord token and escape, he discovered an intruder already waiting for him, seated upon his throne.

“You... how did you get here?” the human lord asked, pointing at the uninvited guest.

The moment he finished speaking, a deep-seated terror washed over him as the figure allowed his aura to erupt wildly. In that instant, the lord’s fingers trembled with fear from the overwhelming pressure.

The aura sweeping across the room belonged to a Tier 8 lifeform, the figure on his throne was by far the most human-looking member of the sea race the lord had ever encountered, yet he was entirely non-human.

Instead, he was a royal born of the sea race—a sea dragon man.

He possessed deep water blue dragon scales and a fin, though his race was more preferably called the Dragonfin. His draconic eyes were the color of deep blue, with a tint of black crossing around them.

“You asked me how I got here? Well, it’s simple: I killed off all of the guards you had around,” the sea dragon man said with an unrushed ease.

“You see, you humans are just so predictable, just after a few years of peace, you all have gone lax. I already knew right from the start that when the battle begins, you would try to run, leaving your whole residents in harm’s way. So, I came to wait here specifically to kill you.”

“But I have not done anything to instigate the sea people, why are you people attacking my domain?”

“Idiot,” the sea dragon man said, simply pulling his right hand backward towards himself before clenching his fist as it got closer.

The next moment, a halberd made from water poked out from the water-littered ground. Although it wasn’t as flooded as the area outside, the water had already reached a level where it would reach the knee in a couple more minutes.

The human lord coughed up blood upon seeing the sharp tips of the halberd protruding right before him.

“Those of your kind have absolutely no authority to question the actions of the sea races,” the sea dragon man retorted.

“You claim you have never provoked my people, yet your kind has repeatedly hunted the fish within our own ecosystem for food simply because your own lands are completely barren.”

“You have always dumped your waste into the ocean, yet you still claim innocence. To me, it matters little what you have or haven’t done; I have come here simply to slaughter humans. In the world of cultivation, there is no right or wrong—there is only the powerful and the weak. Because you are weak, you are wrong,” the sea dragon man declared before casually swatting his right hand.

Following the motion of his hand, the water halberd cast the lifeless body of the City Lord onto the ground. Before he began striding toward the city heart, he pulled out the lord token and began enveloping it in his mana.

“The invasion has officially begun,” he mentioned to himself.

Similar scenes were unfolding across numerous human regions, extending far beyond the wilderness, the sea races faced a severe crisis of overpopulation, which made finding sustenance incredibly difficult and drove many to resort to killing one another.

The sea race had long coveted the surface realm, a fractured world controlled by various races yet still bound together by fragments of space.

Previously, when they targeted the domains controlled by humans, it was solely to feast on them and quickly retreat into the ocean before the human emperors could arrive.

However, a certain individual who had long harbored designs against humanity approached them with invaluable secrets, this informant revealed that the human emperors would be unable to intervene, as they were fully occupied trying to prevent the Demonkin and the Zergs from breaching the portion of the origin realm under the humans control.

This distraction provided the perfect opening for the sea race that didn’t want a high leveled battle. Armed with this new intelligence, the sea race completely altered their strategy.

Instead of launching fleeting raids to devour humans, they began a systematic conquest of human territories.

Their ultimate goal was to extend the ocean depths onto the surface, permanently expanding their domain and hunting grounds.
