Originally thought it would go smoothly, but the woman upstairs said, "I don’t have the landlord’s contact information. This house was rented through an intermediary. If you want to find the landlord, it’s best to ask the intermediary."

The two left the neighborhood and took a car to the location of the intermediary company.

It was a small company with a modest facade. Judging by its size, it probably had fewer than ten employees inside.

But since this is the prosperous Capital City, even such small companies shouldn’t be underestimated; they might have information on hundreds or even thousands of apartments in their hands.

Ling Feng and Li Xiaonian walked straight in, and a staff member was about to greet them warmly, but upon seeing Ling Feng, their eyes widened, and they froze on the spot!

"Don’t be nervous, I’m just here to ask some questions."

Ling Feng smiled and continued, "I called earlier; who said there was no landlord contact and then hung up on me?"

The person was trembling.

Getting closer and seeing the nervous look on their face, Ling Feng smiled and said, "Relax, I’m not here to trouble you. I just want to ask, can you now give me the landlord’s contact information?"

"Sure, sure..."

The person was extremely nervous and nodded hurriedly.

The person took out their phone and quickly found Li Chaoyang’s contact information.

"Is this Mr. Li Chaoyang?" Ling Feng asked.

"My name is Ling Feng, the one from Ling Corporation," Ling Feng said.

There was a brief silence on the other end, then a chuckle, "Have fraudsters changed their tactics now? What do you really want?"

Ling Feng was also a bit helpless and said with a smile, "I really am Ling Feng, not a fraud. I’m contacting you because I have something I’d like to discuss. Rest assured, it’s definitely not about your money!"

"Is that so?"

Li Chaoyang laughed, "Since it’s not about money, I’ll give you three sentences to see if you can persuade me to continue the conversation with you. Remember, only three sentences!"

Ling Feng thought one sentence was enough. He smiled and said, "I found Li Xiaonian!"

"..."

There was complete silence on Li Chaoyang’s end.

Ling Feng said nothing and waited quietly.

After nearly a minute of silence, Li Chaoyang asked, "Are you really Ling Feng?"

"I am. If you don’t believe me, how about I release the Ling Yun in the sky above Capital City?" Ling Feng suggested.

"No need!"

Li Chaoyang took a deep breath, "I’m not in Capital City. Did you really find Little Nian? Where is she?"

Ling Feng could tell that he believed his identity, so he smiled and said, "Don’t get too excited yet. I want to know where you are so that we can meet and discuss this in person."

"I-I’m in Wu Cheng," Li Chaoyang said, breathing heavily.

"Then here’s the plan: You know I have an affiliation with the Bureau of Safety. How about you go to the branch office in Wu Cheng, and I’ll teleport over immediately. That way, you don’t have to worry about me being a fraud," Ling Feng said.

"Okay...."

Li Chaoyang only managed to say one word.

Ling Feng didn’t say much more, directly hung up the phone, and held Li Xiaonian’s hand, "Wu Cheng is on the southeast coast. Seems they’ve already moved."

"That’s my mother’s hometown. They might have changed their environment after losing me back then," Li Xiaonian said softly.

Ling Feng nodded and then said, "Alright, let’s go. I’ll teleport us there. This time, we definitely won’t be in vain."

"Okay."

Li Xiaonian took a deep breath and nodded.

Ling Feng told the driver about the teleportation and left, without needing him to drive them.

After a quick transfer, they arrived at the Wu Cheng branch office.

Ling Feng hadn’t been here before; there was a teleportation array set up because of some subterranean creature attack previously.

Although the personnel moved away afterward, the teleportation array remained.

Upon appearing, Ling Feng noticed that the security bureau personnel were somewhat surprised, so he smiled and said, "Hello everyone, I’m here unannounced today because I’m expecting to meet someone later. I hope you understand!"

"Mr. Ling, it’s an honor to have you here at our branch!"

The branch chief came over immediately, saying with a big smile on his face.
