「Falling Valley Mountain Villa.」

Leo Grant carried Yvonne Lowell upstairs. Leogryph glanced at their figures on the staircase, shook its head, and then turned, sashaying back to its room.

‘The world of adults is just too complicated,’ it thought. ‘It’s not something a three-year-old little lion like me can understand.’

‘Still, this cheap new dad of mine isn’t completely clueless. He knows my supreme family status as the dowry lion, so he even replicated my large, custom ‘bedroom’ identical to the one at Tidalview here.’

Leo Grant set her down on the sofa in the master bedroom and gestured for her to look at the thick stack of documents on the table.

“These are all the assets under my name, all sorted. Please inspect them, ma’am.”

A flash of surprise crossed Yvonne Lowell’s eyes.

“You sorted them out this quickly? Ian Lynch is certainly efficient. But… isn’t this a little much?”

She casually picked up the document on top. When she opened it to the first page and saw the contents, she whipped her head around to look at the man beside her, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief.

“What is the meaning of this?!”

“Exactly what it says.”

Leo Grant rested his chin on Yvonne Lowell’s shoulder, lightly tapping the three large words at the top of the document—’Share Transfer Agreement’—and said softly,

“I actually prepared this a long time ago. Even if you hadn’t mentioned it this afternoon, I was planning to give it to you tonight.”

Yvonne Lowell opened her mouth to speak, but he cut her off.

“My father, my grandfather, and I hold shares in The Grants in a 3:3:4 ratio. All my dad’s money is with my mom, and my grandpa did the same thing when my grandma was still alive. I know you’re not short on money, but this is something I’m giving you willingly. Think of it as me buying myself a lifetime insurance policy, to lock you down for good.”

This wasn’t just a promise he had made before the Lowells, but also a promise to her for the rest of their lives—one he was making willingly, joyfully.

Yvonne Lowell casually flipped through a few more documents on the table. Besides various businesses, both large and small, some she knew of and some she didn’t, the files even included all the revenue from the Shadow Pavilion and G Group.

“All of this… is for me? Then what will you live on?”

“Mhm, everything except the money for payroll is yours. As for me… I’m committed to being a kept man, of course. I’ll live off the allowance my fiancée gives me, and later, the allowance my wife gives me. I’ll spend however much you give me, and I’ll work for you for free for the rest of my life.”

Leo Grant pecked her on the neck, his voice husky.

Yvonne Lowell couldn’t help but click her tongue. “The Grant Family really specializes in producing hopeless romantics, doesn’t it? Aren’t you afraid I’ll just take the money and run?”

‘We haven’t even gotten our marriage license… and he trusts me this much? And what kind of normal person goes on a document-signing spree right after getting engaged?!’

“You can run, but you have to take this dead weight with you,” Leo Grant said, stuffing a pen into her hand.

“So, my dear fiancée, would you do me the honor of letting the Grant Family tradition continue to flourish?”

Yvonne Lowell’s lips parted and closed a few times before she finally said just one word, “Okay.”

Then, she signed her name on the share transfer agreement.

For the next half hour, Yvonne Lowell became an emotionless signing machine, using both her left and right hands. She signed so much that the name ‘Yvonne Lowell’ started to look foreign to her.

Finally, just as her patience was about to run out, she signed the very last document.

Beside her, Secretary Grant, who had been helping turn the pages, also stopped and perceptively began to massage her wrist.

His tone was teasing.

“Good work, sweetheart. But don’t forget to give me this month’s allowance.”

“Get lost! It’s all docked this month,” Yvonne Lowell retorted, rolling her eyes.

Then, as if remembering something, Yvonne Lowell spoke again. “Oh, right, I need to tell you something.”

Leo Grant didn’t stop massaging her hand and said softly,

“If this is about Lance Young, I already know. Zion took the call here earlier.”

Yvonne Lowell froze for a moment, then her lips twitched into a smirk.

“Heh, President Grant, you’re quite impressive, aren’t you? Buying off everyone around me.”

A chill ran down Leo Grant’s spine. He gave an awkward laugh.

“Well… I just wanted to give you a surprise, you know?”

‘Why are my knees suddenly feeling weak? It must be from kneeling in the backyard for too long!’

Yvonne Lowell shot him a sideways glance. “However, that’s not what I was going to talk about.”

Leo Grant’s hands paused. ‘So… did I just accidentally sell out my future brother-in-law?!’

‘And… he was the first brother-in-law to acknowledge me and call me ‘brother-in-law’…’

‘But that wasn’t the main point. The main point was that it seemed like he! Him! Self! Was! A! bout! To! Be! Doomed!’

“Alright, I’m not blaming you. What I’m about to say will make us even for you deceiving me.”

Yvonne Lowell could see right through him.

‘Tsk, this man’s thoughts are still so easy for me to read.’

Leo Grant immediately perked up, feeling as though his life, which had been hanging by a thread, was now a little more secure.

“What is it then?”

“Oh, it’s not a big deal. It’s just that this dress I’m wearing… I designed it. And the forty million US dollars you spent on it are now in my account.”

As she said this, Yvonne Lowell felt inexplicably guilty.

She looked at the sky, she looked at the ground—anywhere but at him.

‘It was only because this guy had given her his entire fortune that she decided to reveal another of her little identities to him.’

‘For now, aside from that unspeakable identity as Number 1, there shouldn’t be anything else she was hiding from him… right?’

The atmosphere in the bedroom grew silent for a few seconds. Yvonne Lowell didn’t dare to look up at him.

The next thing she knew, the world was spinning, and somehow, she had been moved from the sofa to the bed.

The man’s muscular body pressed down on her, his tone dangerous.

“The founder of ilpianeta? The legendary haute couture designer ‘Y’? My fiancée is quite the prodigy, isn’t she? Hmm?”

“Well… I guess so. I didn’t know you were the one buying it at first,” Yvonne Lowell replied, neither confident nor particularly self-assured.

“Besides, it was going to be my money sooner or later anyway, so we’re even.”

“You have a point.”

Leo Grant nodded in all seriousness, but then his tone suddenly shifted.

“In that case, it’s only fair that I, as the middleman, collect a small service fee, right?”

Without waiting for a reply, he kissed the lips he had been longing for.

An unknown amount of time passed before Yvonne Lowell, her mind completely blank, was able to breathe again.

But immediately after, a new barrage of soft kisses rained down.

Just as things were about to progress naturally, the man suddenly stopped.

He was about to get up and head to the bathroom when Yvonne Lowell wrapped her arms around his neck.

Her voice was a little hoarse, yet tinged with a seductive charm, as if every cell in her body was plucking at his heartstrings.

“Gigi, I’ll take responsibility for you.”
