The Heiress They Lost Came Back Overpowered
Chapter 309 - 308: Here... Isn’t It a Bit Inappropriate?
Andy had just stepped out of the elevator and was about to walk toward his car when he sensed something was off about the woman walking toward him.
Not only did she have the scent of his own kind, but she also looked like... she was coming for him.
So he instinctively tried to turn back, but Tina didn’t give him the chance, charging straight at him to attack.
Andy was forced to fight back. The two of them exchanged blows in the empty parking garage.
At first, he had the upper hand, but the longer the fight went on, the more he struggled. A sense of horror grew in his heart.
While trading moves with her, he asked, "Who the hell are you? I have no quarrel with you, so why are you doing this?"
"I’m your daddy, ever-changing, now shut up, you ungrateful son!"
Tina threw a roundhouse kick, but he caught her by the ankle.
She used the opportunity to leverage herself onto his shoulders and injected a tranquilizer into his neck.
Andy instinctively reached up to pull it out, but as soon as he raised his hand, his strength failed him, and he collapsed face-first onto the ground.
Tina calmly remained seated on him, only hopping off just as he was about to hit the ground. She didn’t forget to give him another kick.
"Woohoo! This kiddy ride is still the most fun. Daddy’s daddy is called grandpa. Have you learned your lesson yet?"
A soft chuckle escaped.
Sitting in the car and hearing their entire conversation clearly through his earpiece, Felix Knight couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
This trip to Aurelia was basically a paid vacation. Other people went to bars, spas, or enjoyed a full package of food, drinks, and entertainment on their days off, but this bunch of rascals had somehow gotten obsessed with the kiddy rides at the mall entrance.
He’d already lost count of how many times he had heard the same lines from how many different people.
Besides that, they would also blurt out classic lines from a grade-schooler’s argument from time to time.
Colin looked back, a little confused. "Hall Master, what are you laughing at?"
"Don’t you think it’s hilarious to hear two foreigners arguing in Aurelian?"
Besides, who knows if this Andy guy was always this weak or if he’s just gotten soft from sitting in an office for too long. He was a terrible fighter.
Colin completely failed to get the joke.
"But don’t we speak Aurelian most of the time at headquarters too? And that Andy guy has been working in Aurelia for so long. Isn’t it normal for him to speak Aurelian?"
Felix Knight couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
"Alright, alright. Hurry up and get out of the car. Go help her bring the guy up."
"But some of the guys have already gotten out. And he won’t fit in our car anyway."
As he spoke, Colin pointed to the figures outside who were lugging the guy around like a dead fish.
Felix Knight took a deep breath. "Then shut up, turn around, and get ready to drive. Got it?"
’This unlucky kid. He’s good for nothing but fighting. He’s even worse than Andy!’
Colin: ...’You can call me as dumb as a pig, but you can’t say I’m worse than that piece of trash!’
"Yes, sir!"
Colin didn’t understand, but Colin obeyed the order.
Felix Knight dialed Yvonne Lowell’s number. As soon as the call connected, he spoke.
"Master, we’ve got him."
"Yes. Understood."
After hanging up, Felix Knight began altering the parking garage’s surveillance footage and kicked the back of the car seat.
"Tell everyone we’re heading to the abandoned warehouse in Emberfall."
"Yes, sir."
...
When Yvonne Lowell’s group arrived in Emberfall, the people from Moonshadow were already there.
Felix Knight was standing at the entrance. "Master, he’s inside. Hasn’t woken up yet."
Nolan Crawford, who had come along to watch the show, got out of the car and looked around.
"Nice place. It’s in the middle of nowhere. A perfect spot to kill someone and dump the body. How did I never find this place before?"
Zachary Jacobs leaned in, blew a breath of air into his ear, and said sinisterly,
"Since you like it so much, you can just stay here and keep me company forever. Mwahahaha... Oww! What was that for!?"
"Get lost!" Nolan Crawford shoved his face away with the back of his hand.
"You think I’m a simpleton like Lowell the Second? If I got scared by that, how could I even show my face around here anymore?!"
"Insult him all you want, but why did you have to hit me?!"
"I hit you because..."
"Shut up."
Yvonne Lowell glanced at the two big idiots who seemed to have left their brains at home and walked straight into the warehouse.
Her two softly spoken words scared them into standing at attention on the spot. They glared at each other once more before following her inside.
Nolan Crawford belatedly realized what had happened. ’She was taking sides, wasn’t she? Wasn’t she?!’
’Otherwise, why didn’t she say anything when Zachary Jacobs was insulting him, but chose to interrupt the moment he retorted?!’
’Damn it! I’m so pissed! A broken heart is like shards of glass!’
Yvonne Lowell walked into the warehouse and saw Andy, his hands and feet bound.
"Colin, go strip off his shirt," Yvonne Lowell said, her tone light.
"Yes, ma’am."
Colin stepped forward and slit his shirt open with a small knife. With a flick of the blade’s tip, it was reduced to a few scraps of cloth.
Yvonne Lowell walked up, glanced at the scar on his left shoulder, and used the tip of her foot to flip him over.
Sure enough, it was a through-and-through wound—another one left behind by her, the "pure and harmless little beauty," back in the day.
She lifted her gaze to Nina Jennings and Zachary Jacobs, who were watching from the side, and gestured for them to look.
As for Zachary Jacobs, who had been grinning and joking just moments before, he seemed like a different person the moment he saw Andy. His entire being radiated a bloodthirsty killing intent.
Upon seeing the familiar scar, he wanted to charge forward but was yanked back by Nina Jennings.
Before he could break free, Nina Jennings shoved a phone in his face and said coldly,
"What’s the hurry? Wait a little longer."
Seeing the time on the screen, Zachary Jacobs gradually stopped struggling, but the look on his face was no less grim.
Meanwhile, Yvonne Lowell had already walked over to Leo Grant and, smiling, whispered something in his ear.
Leo Grant’s expression instantly became a little strange. He subtly scanned their surroundings.
Seeing that no one was paying attention to them, he whispered,
"Sweetheart, here...? Isn’t it a little... inappropriate? There are so many people."
"What’s inappropriate about it? I have faith in your skills. Besides, I’ll definitely make them all leave in a bit, leaving just a few of us inside."
Yvonne Lowell said nonchalantly.
For a moment, Leo Grant didn’t know how to respond.
"Honey, don’t mess around. Tonigh..."
"I’m not asking you to freeze his whole body. You freeze a part, and then I’ll use fire to help him melt it. Won’t that work? I’ll only play for a little while! And I promised Jackie I’d leave the last breath for him, so I won’t play him to death!"
Yvonne Lowell cut him off, not forgetting to gesture with her hands to emphasize ’a little while’.
Leo Grant’s expression cracked for a moment. ’Damn, so *that’s* the "heaven of ice and fire" she meant?!’
*Damn...*
Looking at her eager eyes, Leo Grant could only say through gritted teeth,
"Fine. Whatever you say."
Having received his affirmative reply, Yvonne Lowell turned to her subordinates and said,
"Everyone out. Felix, you stay. And wake him up."
And from an angle Leo Grant couldn’t see, a fleeting, sly glint flashed in Yvonne Lowell’s eyes.
’Heh. That’ll teach you for being such a beast last night.’
