The Heroines Can Hear My and the Protagonist's Inner Voice!?
Chapter 225: Boundaries With Sister
The convoy tore through the city.
Streetlights flashed across the windows.
Three black vehicles moved together, surrounded by Shen Family security.
Inside the center vehicle...
Nobody spoke for several minutes.
Ling Shuangxue had transferred the eastern dock schematics onto a large screen.
Bai Xue examined the Red Scorpion properties.
Gu Qingya sat across from Shen Tian.
Shen Yan remained directly beside him.
Far too close.
Again.
Her eyes never stopped moving.
Window.
Driver.
Mirrors.
Buildings.
Cars.
People on sidewalks.
Every possible threat.
Shen Tian noticed.
At first...
He ignored it.
Then Shen Yan leaned forward.
"Slow down."
The driver immediately eased off the accelerator.
Shen Tian looked toward her.
"Why?"
"We’re entering a denser traffic zone."
"So?"
"More vehicles."
"And?"
"Harder to identify an attack."
Shen Tian stared.
Shen Yan tapped her earpiece.
"Vehicle One, increase distance."
Shen Tian finally spoke.
"No."
Everyone looked toward him.
Shen Yan paused.
"Tian?"
"Keep formation."
The driver immediately returned to the original speed.
Shen Yan frowned.
"The current spacing is dangerous."
Shen Tian leaned back.
"According to who?"
"Me."
"Exactly."
She became quiet.
Bai Xue slowly looked away from the screen.
Ling Shuangxue noticed the change too.
Shen Tian’s voice remained calm.
But...
There was something different about it.
Authority.
Not joking.
Not indulgent.
Not the younger brother allowing his sister to do whatever she wanted because he found her behavior amusing.
Shen Tian looked directly at Shen Yan.
"Big Sis."
Her expression softened immediately.
"Yes?"
"You are my bodyguard."
"Yes."
"Not my commander."
Silence.
Shen Yan stared.
Shen Tian continued.
"You advise me."
"You warn me."
"You protect me when I need protection."
His eyes sharpened.
"But you do not decide where I go."
"You do not decide who I speak with."
"And you do not override my decisions unless I am physically incapable of making them."
Shen Yan’s expression changed.
Not anger.
Something closer to hurt.
"Tian..."
"No."
His voice remained gentle.
But firm.
"You’ve been doing it constantly."
She became silent.
Shen Tian continued.
"You watch every woman around me."
"You threaten people who aren’t threats."
"You follow me into situations where I specifically tell you not to."
"You treat anyone who gets close to me like an enemy."
Shen Yan lowered her eyes slightly.
"I’m protecting you."
"I know."
That answer came immediately.
Shen Tian reached over.
He gently took her hand.
Her eyes rose.
"I know why."
He squeezed once.
"And I love you for caring."
Her expression softened.
"But..."
His voice became firmer again.
"It stops here."
Shen Yan froze.
"You can protect me without trying to control my life."
"I am not a child."
"I’m stronger than almost everyone in this city."
"And soon..."
A faint smile appeared.
"I’ll be stronger than the ones who aren’t included in almost."
Xu Ning’s eyes flickered.
[Host...]
Shen Tian ignored her.
His confidence wasn’t false.
He had already made his decision.
Domain Initiation Realm was no longer enough.
Not with Lu Chen walking around at Peak Spirit Perception.
Not with bigger protagonists appearing.
Not with Fate targets growing stronger every arc.
Shen Tian looked toward Shen Yan.
"So trust me."
For several seconds...
She said nothing.
Then...
Her fingers slowly tightened around his.
"You’re asking me to stand back."
"I’m asking you to stand beside me."
That struck differently.
Shen Yan looked at him.
Shen Tian smiled.
"There’s a difference."
Her eyes softened completely.
Then she nodded.
"...Fine."
Shen Tian raised an eyebrow.
"Fine?"
"I’ll try."
"Good."
She immediately added...
"But if someone tries to kill you..."
"Kill them."
Shen Yan blinked.
Then smiled brightly.
"Okay."
Bai Xue laughed.
"That boundary lasted six seconds."
Shen Tian looked toward her.
"I said she can’t control me."
"I didn’t say she has to become harmless."
Shen Yan looked extremely pleased with that distinction.
Gu Qingya had watched the entire exchange.
Quietly.
Carefully.
Something about it caught her attention.
Shen Yan was clearly obsessed with her younger brother.
Anyone could see it.
Yet Shen Tian hadn’t screamed at her.
Hadn’t humiliated her.
Hadn’t simply accepted it either.
He drew a line.
Explained it.
Then expected it to be respected.
Gu Qingya found herself thinking about someone else.
Lu Chen.
If she told Lu Chen the same thing...
Would he listen?
She already knew the answer.
No.
He would smile.
Say she would understand eventually.
Then continue doing whatever he wanted.
The comparison made her expression colder.
Shen Tian noticed.
"What?"
Gu Qingya shook her head.
"Nothing."
He smiled faintly.
"That’s usually my line."
She almost smiled back.
Almost.
. . .
The eastern docks appeared ahead.
Industrial buildings stretched along the waterfront.
Shipping containers formed enormous metal corridors.
Warehouses occupied entire blocks.
Cranes towered over cargo ships.
At this hour...
Most legitimate operations had already slowed.
That made everything else easier to notice.
A cluster of vehicles near Warehouse 17.
No company markings.
No active dock workers.
No cargo movement.
Ling Shuangxue pointed.
"There."
Shen Tian looked toward the screen.
Red Scorpion Property 3
Warehouse 17
Bai Xue smiled.
"Subtle."
Gu Qingya looked toward the map.
"How many people?"
Ling Shuangxue checked.
"Unknown."
Bai Xue spoke.
"At least forty."
Gu Qingya looked toward her.
"How do you know?"
Bai Xue smiled.
"Underground people are predictable."
She pointed at three buildings.
"Main warehouse."
"Secondary storage."
"Office."
"If they’re moving someone important, they’ll concentrate security."
Shen Tian nodded.
"Lu Chen?"
Xu Ning appeared.
[Already inside the perimeter.]
Shen Tian smiled.
"Fast."
Shen Yan immediately reached toward the door.
Shen Tian caught her wrist.
She stopped.
Then...
Remembered.
She slowly sat back.
Shen Tian smiled faintly.
"See?"
Her eyes narrowed.
"I remembered."
"Good."
He released her.
Then looked toward everyone.
"We do this my way."
Bai Xue smiled.
"Bossy."
Shen Tian looked toward her.
"Problem?"
Something in his tone made her smile widen.
"No."
Ling Shuangxue closed the laptop.
"What do you want?"
"Security surrounds the property."
"No one enters or leaves."
He looked toward Bai Xue.
"You identify Red Scorpion leadership."
"Don’t engage unless necessary."
