"Seira, are you awake? Thank goodness!"

Isabella stepped into Seira’s room with a bright, joyful smile.

Seira, who was sitting on the bed and gazing at the night sky through the window, turned her head and smiled.

"Thank you, Mother Isabella. I was able to come to my senses thanks to you."

Isabella stopped in front of her before sitting down on the edge of the bed.

She gently shook her head.

"I didn’t do anything. You regained consciousness all on your own."

She reached out and gently stroked Seira’s cheek.

Seira enjoyed the gentle touch.

After making sure Seira was all right, Isabella finally felt relieved.

Still, she asked just to be sure.

"Does anything hurt? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

"Nothing—"

Grrr...

The sudden growl of Seira’s stomach cut her off.

The two fell silent for a moment.

"Pfft!" Isabella chuckled. "I’ll make you some dinner."

Without waiting for Seira to respond, she stood up and left the room.

Seira could only lower her head in embarrassment.

But once Isabella was out of sight, her expression returned to its usual blank look.

She leaned back against the headboard and turned her gaze toward the window again.

Her eyes were calm and expressionless.

"My memories have finally returned completely," she whispered. "Nolan Frey..."

A look of longing and love appeared in her pink eyes.

"I’ll wait for you to return, my love."

...

"We need to come up with a plan for tomorrow’s battle," Evalyn said seriously.

Elina and Freya looked down at the map spread across the table.

"Can I lead the discussion?" Freya asked.

Neither Elina nor Evalyn had any objections.

Freya picked up a wooden stick from the table and pointed at the Corvil Plains on the map.

"A frontal assault like last time puts us at a disadvantage. According to the soldiers’ reports, the Valtanir forces have thirty thousand cavalry and ten thousand priests. Their army is clearly built for quick battles. If we use the same formation again, we’ll lose."

There were many different battle formations, and choosing the right one depended on two key factors.

The first was the terrain. Some battles took place on vast plains like Corvil, while others were fought in narrow valleys like Butterfly Wing Valley.

There were also battles fought in the mountains or deep in the forests.

The second factor was the enemy’s formation. Cavalry was built for fast attacks, making wide-open plains like Corvil perfect for them.

The Empire’s army, on the other hand, had a more balanced formation, with cavalry, infantry, mages, and archers.

This made it suitable for various types of terrain. However, its weakness became apparent when facing an enemy made up entirely of cavalry.

Luckily, the imperial mages and archers had managed to hold the enemy back, stopping them from breaking through the first line of defense.

Otherwise, the imperial forces would have been defeated by now, especially since the enemy had shown up so suddenly.

"So, do you have any ideas on how to deal with them?" Evalyn asked.

"Of course."

Freya suddenly smiled.

"It’s simple. But I’ll need your help, Elina."

"Me?"

Elina looked at her in surprise.

"You’ll find out soon enough."

Freya grinned and began explaining her plan to the two of them.

...

The next morning...

The battlefield, still stained with blood from the previous night’s battle, grew tense once again.

The two armies stood facing each other, their eyes filled with murderous intent. The air was thick with hostility.

Elina and Freya sat on their horses at the front of the imperial formation. Seven thousand cavalry stood behind them, followed by five thousand infantry and two thousand archers.

At the very back stood two thousand mages, positioned seven meters behind the archers.

Meanwhile, the Valtanir forces had formed the same formation as the day before, with cavalry filling their ranks and thousands of priests standing at the very back, their wands raised.

Corvin and Arkam stood at the front of their army, their faces calm and fearless.

"Where is Evalyn Lionheart?" Arkam asked, scanning the enemy’s front ranks. "Why isn’t she here?"

Corvin was startled. He scanned the enemy ranks but couldn’t find Evalyn anywhere.

"Could she have taken some of the imperial troops to attack us from behind?" he asked warily.

Arkam’s expression darkened. That was certainly a possibility. However, he soon noticed something strange.

"If that’s the case, why are there still so many enemy troops?"

Corvin was taken aback.

He looked over the enemy ranks again and realized that their numbers were indeed still quite large.

If Evalyn had taken even five thousand troops with her, they would have noticed.

So where had she gone?

While the two men were still trying to figure it out, a loud shout rang out from the enemy ranks.

"Mages, attack!"

Whoosh!

Hundreds of fireballs appeared in the sky at once before hurtling toward the Valtanir forces. But that wasn’t all. Thousands of arrows followed, raining down on them.

Seeing the sky filled with incoming attacks, Arkam didn’t flinch. He drew his sword and raised it high.

"Priests, raise your staffs!"

At his command, the priests at the rear of the formation raised their staffs and began chanting sacred spells.

Buzz!

A giant dome appeared before them and slowly expanded until it covered the entire Valtanir formation.

Boom!

Hundreds of fireballs slammed into the dome, sending explosions echoing across the battlefield. The rain of arrows that followed was also blocked.

However, the imperial mages and archers showed no signs of slowing down. They kept firing one attack after another.

Under the relentless bombardment, small cracks finally began to appear across the dome.

Noticing this, Arkam was startled and shouted, "What are you doing!? Strengthen the defenses!"

The priests’ staffs glowed once more. The cracks in the dome slowly closed, sealing themselves.

However, the imperial mages and archers were too powerful. New cracks began to appear, spreading across the dome one after another.

Arkam’s face paled. The priests he had brought with him were incredibly powerful.

There was no way their magic should be weaker than that of the Great Velmora Empire’s mages.

"What should we do?" Corvin asked anxiously.

He hadn’t expected Elina and Freya to launch their attack this way.

Arkam bit his lower lip before pulling on his horse’s reins.

Hieeek!

The horse neighed and reared up on its hind legs.

"We’ll attack head-on!"

Corvin was caught off guard by the order, but he didn’t argue. He urged his horse forward as well.

"Charge!"

His shout echoed across the battlefield, and the soldiers behind him sprang into action.

"Charge!" they shouted together.

As the enemy advanced, Elina remained calm. She closed her eyes and whispered, "Now, Cassiopeia!"
