Chapter 1386: Chapter 1386: Favor

"What did you say? Chest expansion exercises?"

Pengwa was momentarily at a loss for words. Wasn’t this kid’s thinking a bit too jumpy?

Lin Tian smiled and asked, "As far as I know, Mr. Peng has some hidden ailments, either sequelae from youth or long-term accumulated diseases. These could cause chest tightness, arrhythmia, and physical aging. Am I right?"

The anger gradually faded from Pengwa’s face as he stared at Lin Tian in shock, with his mouth agape, muttering, "How do you know all this?"

Pengwa was truly stunned. Lin Tian’s words were spot on. Aside from inherent poor physical condition and sequelae from youth, there were also accumulations over time that had now developed into a disease. Recovery would be difficult, and all that could be done was to control the illness.

"Ancient medicine emphasizes observation, inquiry, questioning, and pulse-taking. From your complexion and when I touched your acupoints, I roughly understood." Lin Tian said with a smile.

"Amazing, truly amazing!" Pengwa’s face no longer showed any displeasure. He looked at Lin Tian, astonished and said, "These chronic ailments have troubled me for years. Walking a long distance or climbing a few stairs tires me out, leaves me breathless, and my stamina just can’t keep up. I didn’t expect you to see it at a glance!"

Pengwa was genuinely convinced. No matter which renowned doctor he consulted, describing the symptoms was unavoidable, and there might even be blood tests. But here, with Lin Tian, it really took just a glance!

Sun Chuanrong beamed with joy and said, "Lin Tian, these ailments of old Peng are quite trying. He has both inherent poor health and accumulated issues over time. We’ve all been at a loss. Do you have a solution?"

Pengwa gratefully glanced at Sun Chuanrong.

Those were exactly the words Pengwa wanted to say. Patients troubled by illness for years, upon seeing a good doctor, would naturally first think of their own ailments. However, there was a small conflict between him and Lin Tian before, making him somewhat embarrassed to speak, considering his seniority in medicine. Sun Chuanrong had perfectly resolved his dilemma.

Lin Tian chuckled, "Didn’t I say? Just move around a bit, and then see how you feel."

"Ah? Alright, alright."

Only then did Pengwa come to his senses, taking two steps forward to a slightly more open space, before spreading his arms and doing a few simple chest expansion exercises.

Strangely enough, in a daze, Pengwa felt a warm sensation across his chest. Especially when breathing, the air felt slightly cool, entering his nasal cavity, circulating within his body, leaving him feeling entirely comfortable!

Do not underestimate these two reactions; for Pengwa, they were incredibly rare! Far more comforting than any sauna, hot spring, or massage!

"Old Peng, how does it feel?" Sun Chuanrong asked with a smile, even if Pengwa said nothing, he could guess the answer, for the smile on the other’s face already gave him away.

Pengwa couldn’t suppress his smile and said, "Comfortable! So comfortable!"

After smiling for a moment, Pengwa stepped forward again and asked Lin Tian, "Brother Lin, what’s really going on here?"

Lin Tian replied, "Poor innate health coupled with later accumulation has led to blockages in some internal pathways. These meridians are very small, almost unnoticeable, and current Western medical techniques are quite complex in addressing them. With insufficient exercise, blood flow is slow, worsening the congestion."

After a pause, Lin Tian glanced at the expression on Pengwa’s face and said, "If this continues, within five years, malignant tumors could likely develop, endangering your life."

Upon hearing this, Pengwa’s face turned pale; he was frightened. Even doctors accustomed to life and death cannot ignore when faced with their own life expectancy.

Somewhat agitated, Pengwa asked, "Then, what should I do?"

He had started to regard Lin Tian as his pillar of support; after all, others couldn’t treat this condition...

"Just now when I pressed certain acupoints on you, I used Qi Gong. Qi Gong, channeled through the acupoints, penetrated into your body, clearing some of the blockages between your heart and lungs, making your breathing smoother than before."

The reason he mentioned Qi Gong is because, on the Celestial Dragon Continent, Qi Gong is also a method of health care, wellness, and disease prevention. So saying this was reasonable and wouldn’t give an impression of being overly mysterious.

"Qi Gong?" Pengwa asked again, "Is it too late for me to practice Qi Gong now?"

Lin Tian smiled and waved, "You misunderstood me. I’m not saying you should practice Qi Gong. That would take too long and be too impractical. What I mean is, I’ve just opened a small path in your meridians. As long as you monitor your diet, maintain wellness, engage in regular exercise, and use some medicinal assistance, over a few years, it shouldn’t be a big problem."

"Really?" Pengwa looked at Lin Tian with amazement, still finding all of this somewhat surreal.

"Of course, I wouldn’t joke about something like this." Lin Tian said with a smile, then paused and continued, "Oh, right, I need some time to prepare the prescription for you, it needs to be done in stages, can’t be too hasty."

Pengwa was too excited to know what to say, he excitedly shook Lin Tian’s hand and said, "Thank you, thank you."

"It’s a small matter." For Lin Tian, this was indeed a small matter; the entire process took less than ten minutes, yet it could alleviate Pengwa’s disease and extend his life.

Pengwa let go and patted himself down, only to find he was still wearing his hospital gown, and hadn’t brought his wallet or phone with him. Somewhat dejected, he said, "Oh no, I don’t have my business card on me."

"Hehe, giving it next time works just as well."

"Alright, if you ever need my help, Mr. Peng, just ask, and I assure you I’ll do my utmost." Pengwa said earnestly, almost swearing by the heavens.

Lin Tian didn’t decline; favors can be more valuable than money sometimes, especially coming from a renowned doctor like Pengwa, although there’s a bit of a gap compared to himself... but it’s never wrong.

After chatting a bit more, Pengwa left, as he was still in his hospital gown, and it wasn’t the place for chatting.

After Pengwa left, Lin Tian said to Sun Chuanrong, "Mr. Sun, I’d like to take a look at my friend’s previous ward."

"That area is now cordoned off by the police. But your people have already gone in and taken a look." Sun Chuanrong whispered, "It seems they also took something, and the police arrived two minutes after they left."

Knowing that Wu Yong and the others hadn’t clashed with the police, and had made progress, Lin Tian was relieved. At least one less hassle to deal with.

"Since that’s the case, I won’t go then. Mr. Sun, if there’s anything you need help with regarding this matter, just let me know." Lin Tian said.

Lin Tian was referring to Li’s assassination attempt. Sun Chuanrong would surely face considerable pressure. As they say, those who have grievances, have debts. Lin Tian knew this was unrelated to Sun Chuanrong and naturally didn’t want him implicated.
