The Invincible Strongest Student
Chapter 1510: Hidden Weapons
Chapter 1510: Chapter 1510: Hidden Weapons
As Lin Tian approached, he realized that there was an invisible aura surrounding the wild ox. When it stood on all fours, with fur bristling, an unexpected suction force emanated from its body.
Lin Tian did not pay it any mind; a slight pull like that was something he could easily ignore.
In a flash, he was beside the wild ox. The Thousand Jin Rock he had dragged with his right hand was now lifted fiercely into the air!
Boom~
This was the sound of the Thousand Jin Rock slicing through the air.
Crash~
The two-centimeter thick blade of the Thousand Jin Rock collided with the small horn that had just grown out of the wild ox.
With a dull sound, the strange ox was lifted into the air by the upward slash of the Thousand Jin Rock, suspended two meters above before crashing heavily down, producing a loud noise.
At the same time, the newly grown small horn was cut off without a drop of blood, eliciting a most tragic, furious roar.
Xu Shoujiang and Xu Beishan both involuntarily twitched at the corner of their eyes, their mouths followed suit in surprise.
This...is too fierce!
It must be noted that all the skilled martial artists of the Xu Family had once combined their forces without inflicting even the slightest damage on the wild ox’s small horn. Yet now, with just one slash, it’s severed?
Even though Thousand Jin Rock is a Divine Artifact, it shouldn’t possess such power. Xu Shoujiang was certain this was solely due to Lin Tian.
If I had his explosive force, the sword flower just now could have been far more than merely tearing cowhide.
Xu Beishan was particularly relieved that he hadn’t gone down; otherwise, he truly would have been a hindrance.
Lying on the ground, the wild ox let out a howl and flipped itself up to stand again. At this moment, Lin Tian seized the opportunity, pulling a tree branch with his other hand, Spiritual Qi wrapped around it nearly instantaneously, and he fiercely thrust it towards the Chaos Eye on the ox’s forehead.
But who would have anticipated, the wild ox did not retreat but instead charged forward, its four hooves pounding the ground in a violent collision. Not only was the wooden sword broken, but Lin Tian solidly received a hit from the ox’s horn, his body sent flying backwards.
This single collision almost made Lin Tian spit blood. His throat filled with a sweet metallic taste, overwhelmingly potent. Especially at the chest, where there was a discomforting feeling as though all his internal organs had shifted positions.
"You were too reckless just now. Didn’t you hear me say, hit and retreat?"
Yu Yang’s displeased voice rang out.
Lin Tian barely managed to stabilize the Qi and blood within himself using Spiritual Qi, his face sulky, unable to retort. He truly had been careless earlier.
"How’s your recovery?" Yu Yang asked.
"Pretty good, not affected much."
"That’s great. Now try to circle around it, seize the chance to cut off that big horn first. If possible, don’t spare the tail either."
Lin Tian carefully remembered Yu Yang’s words, determined not to be careless again.
Xu Shoujiang stood atop the treetop, constantly observing every move of the wild ox, his breath extremely steady, searching for a one-hit-kill opportunity.
If Lin Tian was a warrior adept in resistance and combat, then Xu Shoujiang holding the Thousand Cyan Threads was an assassin, specializing in critical strikes.
As for Xu Beishan... evidently, his level was inadequate.
The wild ox watched as Lin Tian was easily knocked away by its own strike, its eyes filled with a sense of triumph. This human was clearly far less resilient than itself.
Just as the wild ox hesitated over whether or not to finish him off, its three pupils contracted momentarily as Lin Tian again charged forward with his knife. The black-stained stone in his hand appeared truly terrifying.
According to Yu Yang’s instructions, Lin Tian employed a flanking tactic; upon reaching the wild ox, he did not rush to strike but instead began running around it. The blade of the Thousand Jin Rock dragged along the ground, creating sparks amidst the stone collisions, leaving a deep cut along the ground.
Lin Tian was too fast; the wild ox kept trying to follow his rotations but ended up spinning in place. It was truly afraid that the human might sneak up from behind for a surprise slash, potentially not fatal, but certainly very damaging!
Yet its speed fell far short of Lin Tian’s; after less than ten rotations, it started to feel dizzy, its steps faltering, as if it couldn’t maintain its stance.
Xu Beishan watched with amusement; this scene was downright amusing.
Suddenly, Lin Tian’s footsteps halted, while the disoriented wild ox continued spinning in place, oblivious.
Lin Tian initially intended to use the wooden sword to pierce its vertical eye, but realized he wasn’t confident enough. Reflecting on his master’s advice, he abandoned this risky attempt and gripped the hilt of Thousand Jin Rock with both hands instead.
While the wild ox continued spinning counterclockwise, Lin Tian swung Thousand Jin Rock, striking clockwise.
With a loud ’bang’.
Counterclockwise met clockwise, the blade of the Thousand Jin Rock hacked into the wild ox’s horn.
The horn instantly shattered. The wild ox, unable to withstand the combined force of Thousand Jin Rock and Lin Tian’s explosive power, was sent flying, crashing into and snapping the trunks of three large trees before collapsing like a dead pig.
Reflecting on Lin Tian, with that swing, an equally massive retaliatory force surged back, the previously sore tiger’s mouth now split open, his entire body flung aside like a flimsy sheet of paper. If not for Xu Beishan’s timely catch, Lin Tian’s fate would have been no better than the wild ox’s.
Simultaneously, Xu Shoujiang’s long-awaited moment arrived. He descended from the treetop, each hand wielding a wooden sword, carving out blooming sword flowers, dazzling beyond compare; but to the wild ox, it was terrifying enough to break into a cold sweat. With a slight shift to its body, it narrowly avoided the strike, while its prickly-tailed rear whipped like a long lash at Xu Shoujiang.
Xu Shoujiang was unfazed, despite holding wooden swords; he decisively sliced through the ox’s tail. Unfortunately, if he had been wielding the Thousand Cyan Threads, the tail would have been severed.
Failing to make a hit, Xu Shoujiang didn’t linger in combat. Exhibiting his Lightweight Skill, he fled far away, again provoking the wild ox to gnash its upper and lower teeth in anger.
Lin Tian observed with delight, now realizing...the wild ox actually had a missing tooth.
Not having smiled enough, Yu Yang’s voice rang out again, "Good opportunity!"
Those three words tightened Lin Tian’s nerves anew; he trembled, fiercely launching Thousand Jin Rock from his hand, with buzzing noises from the air friction.
This launch concentrated all of Lin Tian’s strength, his explosive force gathered instantaneously.
Thousand Jin Rock transformed into a black-blue light, piercing into the wild ox’s body, pinning it against a tree trunk.
Lin Tian was overjoyed, conveniently drawing a wooden sword, charging once more.
Just then, out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly noticed several hidden weapons flying towards him! Startling Lin Tian into a quick retreat.
The hidden weapons weren’t fired by Xu Shoujiang or Xu Beishan; someone else was in this forest!
