‎"Father! Mother!" Lina’s voice cracked when she walked into the room where her father and mother were being treated. "How’s my parents..." Her voice trembled, her eyes were glimmering in tears that she couldn’t see Serena’s face clearly.

‎"They’re going to be alright. Even without my help, their wounds aren’t that serious even though they look scary," Serena answered as she looked at the bandages that covered the deep cuts that revealed their flesh and bones. However, she had healed those wounds completely without leaving a single evidence of them being stabbed and sliced. "Do you want to stay here with them? They might wake up soon..." She put her hand on Lina’s back.

‎Lina nodded as she used the back of her hands to wipe off the tears that threatened to fall. She was still grieving for her brother and uncle who died protecting her, and now she saw her parents on the bed unconscious like that, she was reliving the trauma.

‎"Can you stay here with me?" Lina whimpered, her voice barely a whisper.

‎Serena nodded and guided Lina to the chair on the side of the room. She knelt in front of Lina, who was sitting in the chair with her head down and hands closed together on her lap.

‎"Why did this happen to me? To my family?" Lina muttered. "What did we do to deserve this?" She added as a single tear fell on her lap.

"I don’t know," Serena shook her head and held Lina’s hands tightly.

"Did your God do this to people as well?" Lina asked.

Serena looked down, holding herself back from saying that her God did make his creations suffer just because He wanted to test them. She had no reason not to tell Lina that, but at the same time, she didn’t want to speak of something that would fuel her resentment and projected it toward Lina.

"God might or might not have done this to His creations for whatever reason He has. However, in your case, this has nothing to do with God," Serena answered as she slowly lifted her head and looked up at Lina. "God gave us free will, and sometimes that free will is the reason God decides to... let it be. His creation chose to kill each other and that ended up against God’s will. This has something to do with God, but at the same time... it doesn’t. Just imagine your parents watch you run, and they know you’re going to fall. They could prevent it, but chose not because they want you to learn your lesson," she explained.

"Why God is like that? Isn’t God supposed to prevent this from happening? He should have done that because we have done nothing bad to anyone. We always helped people that are in needs, so why God did this to us? Or why God let this happened to us?" Lina asked.

Serena didn’t want to answer that question because she didn’t want to pretend that she understood God and praised God or to speak ill of God because of her resentment. On the other hand, she couldn’t stand to see the innocence in Lina’s eyes that was slowly fading away.

"I don’t know... and I wish I knew..." Serena frowned as she looked up at Lina and held Lina’s hands tightly. "But the reason why I was there to save you, and now I’m here to heal your parents. Are they not enough?" She asked.

Lina’s eyes widened when she realized she had just made Serena’s deeds of saving her and now her parents felt useless. She immediately shook her head, regretting what she was spouting and holding Serena’s hands even tighter as if begging for forgiveness.

"No, I’m grateful... really..." Lina muttered.

Aris cleared her throat, and it made the tension between those two disperse. Serena slowly stood up and smiled at Aris before she excused herself to Lina. Once Serena left the room to speak with Aris privately, Lina stayed by her parents’ side, watching them and waiting for them to wake up.

"Did you find anything?" Serena asked.

"I did," Aris nodded. "Do you remember what Rasmus said about gunpowder and that it might have a connection with Fallen Watcher Azazel?" She asked.

"Yes, I recall he mentioned that when we were about to enter the Khan Empire," Serena nodded.

"As we know, each continent at least have two or three Fallen Watchers under Satan’s command," Aris pointed out, and her senses made sure nobody was listening to their conversation. "It seems we just found another Fallen Watcher," she revealed.

"So this is their doing? But why?" Serena furrowed her brows.

"It’s because they wanted war," Rullein came out of nowhere and answered the answer. "Rasmus just told me about this whole thing," she added.

Serena and Aris looked at Rullein with curiosity written all over their faces. Rullein then explained to them about the existence of the Siyen Family and how important they were. When Rullein revealed that this incident was enough to start a war, Serena and Aris finally understood that the Siyen Family had become the last piece that was needed to trigger the war.

"So while Azazel is playing on the Khan Empire’s side, the other Fallen Watcher is playing on the Kingdoms of Sultans’ side," Serena hummed as she crossed her arms.

"Didn’t we made a deal with Satan for a truce back in West Neva? Did she lie to us?" Rullein asked Serena.

"No, it has nothing to do with us. In the first place, Satan had sent the Fallen Watchers to each continent, and this is one of them. They have been here long before we arrived, so it has nothing to do with the deal we made with Satan," Serena shook her head. "I believe Rasmus would say the same thing. However, the issue is how Satan would react if she found out that we clashed with her once again after the truce me made with her," she pointed out.

"Well, let’s leave that to Rasmus, no? The only one that Satan is interested with is him, and he’s good at talking, so, yeah... let him handle that?" Rullein shrugged.

Aris and Serena could only chuckle and nod in agreement.

"Well, you should tell Rasmus about this though," Aris pointed out.

"Oh, I already did, just now," Rullein responded.

"What did he say?" Serena asked.

"Well, he said ’I see..." and that’s it," Rullein shrugged.

"Sounds just like him," Serena chuckled. "And what about you? Aren’t you going to join the tournament? Shouldn’t you go?" She tilted her head with her brows raised.

"Oh, right! The tournament is in three days. I need to go there now with a horse to make me look like a real martial artist," Rullein groaned. "Why are good things are happening at the same time... I don’t want to miss any of them, especially this one since we know that we are dealing with the Fallen Watcher," she sighed.

"War is coming anyway, it’s going to be a lot more fun, no?" Serena smiled.

"That’s true..." Rullein pouted.

"Now go, I’ll handle this matter," Aris said and waved her hand in a dismissal gesture.

"Wow, fine..." Rullein squinted her eyes at Aris before she walked away.

"Don’t make a scene," Aris looked at Rullein with a smile. "And take care," she added.

Rullein lifted her hand and flipped a middle finger at Aris. Aris and Serena could only chuckle and shook their heads.
