The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 2011 - 542: Who Says the Demon King Isn't Human? (4)
Erin looked at Yaya intently, and this time it was her turn to hold Miss Yaya's hand, her eyes sparkling with seriousness and anticipation.
"Once we settle down, perhaps we can go to the theater together to see Miss Eloise's Bell Sound and... find some inspiration for the new script you mentioned!"
Thinking that she could finally help Luo Yan with her skills, Mia eagerly clasped Erin's hand, her face showing a rare genuine smile.
"It's an honor!"
...
The bumping of the carriage felt like a gentle lullaby, soothing Vivian's originally excited nerves until she drifted into slumber.
It wasn't until the sound of a clear silver bell penetrated her hazy consciousness that she fumbled to open her eyes, raising the ruffled sleeve to wipe the drool at the corner of her mouth.
"Hmm? Is it mealtime?"
She really couldn't join Erin and Mia's conversation, especially since her mind was focused on her brother beside her, eventually dozing off in confusion.
Although vampires do not need sleep, she had grown accustomed to napping in the afternoon to save her energy for the more enchanting nights.
Seeing Vivian blurry-eyed awake, Luo Yan, supporting her, teased.
"Awake?"
Vivian was bewildered for two seconds, realizing that she was dangling her feet on someone, her cheeks instantly flushed unnaturally hot.
Her scarlet eyes closed almost immediately, and shortly after, she pretended to snore loudly, her open mouth hanging on her fangs.
"Snore—"
That sound sounded nothing like it.
Walking beside them, Erin chuckled, her gentle smile was particularly enchanting under the moonlight, like a lake covered in silver gauze.
"You two have such a good relationship."
Luo Yan's expression was somewhat subtle.
Good?
Though he didn't quite feel it, to avoid misunderstandings, he let Miss Brave continue to misunderstand.
Mia, on the other hand, glared at Vivian with a murderous look, this one seemed a bit too arrogant, unwittingly slipping onto Lorian's body.
She used all her strength but couldn't pry apart the vampire's grasp, ultimately giving up.
In this harmonious and friendly atmosphere, the Demon King, walking a tightrope, together with the three returned to his "palace" in Thunder County.
As for Sarah and Theresa's group, they went with the Royal Guards to the annex's dining room according to Campbell's tradition.
There, the manor's chef had prepared a sumptuous dinner for them, ensuring they received a hospitable welcome.
Meanwhile, in the main building's dining room.
The massive crystal chandelier lit up the dining room brightly, a long rectangular table covered with a white tablecloth, and the silver candlesticks' flames gently danced in the breeze.
The air was filled with the aroma of roasted meat and creamy mushroom soup, making mouths water, and Vivian finally could no longer pretend to sleep.
Because Princess Lino excitedly leapt onto her.
"Sister Vivian!"
This little princess's first love was "Brother Gutaf," the second being Sister Vivian.
And Vivian took care of this worshipping "little tag-along," treating her as her true apprentice in the human world, teaching her all the tricks on bullying Nanfu.
Poor Nanfu thus became a "diplomatic gift."
Under Miss Lino's shaking, Vivian reluctantly climbed down from someone's arm, regaining her usual Big Sis spirit.
However, this awakening scene of the Giant Dragon scared the stealthily sneaking Prince Richard and Alfred.
The two little ones looked as if they'd seen a ghost, faces ashen, almost diving under the dining table, fearing this dreadful "drillmaster" might whimsically test their combat skills during dinner.
"Oh dear, Richard, am I that frightening?"
Vivian, freshly awake, was in a great mood, eager to spar with someone.
She flashed what she assumed was a congenial smile at the trembling youth, but Richard trembled even more, sweat nearly dripping.
Thankfully, Nanfu walked over looking puzzled, successfully diverting the heat from the two little ones...
On the other side, a touching reunion was unfolding at the dining room entrance.
"Erin, long time no see! You're finally back!"
Lady Antonie excitedly approached Erin, gave her a big hug, and then looked at her face with concern, "My husband and I have been worrying about you, seeing you still as healthy as before makes me relieved!"
"Thank you for your concern, madam," Erin gave a proper knight's salute, her face filled with longing, "While at the front lines, I always thought of you and my brother."
Lady Antonie showed a comforting smile, gazing at her with emotion.
"Speaking of which, you've already seen Edward at Glaston Castle, right? How is he over there? Has he gotten thinner?"
Erin laughed and said.
"He's well, I heard he prepared a deer antler cloak as a gift for you, hunted by him personally, and crafted by Glanston's craftsmen. He was thrilled to tell me that it was shot with a Roxey 1054 Rifle, hitting the mark from five hundred meters away... He's never seen such an accurate firearm."
In fact, not just Edward, Erin hadn't seen one either.
The Northern Relief Army didn't have the Roxey series rifles issued, as by the time these made it off the production line, the Twilight Province's battles were already finished.
